RE: Siyabonga Nkabinde
To Whom It May Concern:
As the co-founder of the Lesedi Outreach project, I am writing to you to recommend Mr Siyabonga
Nkabinde for the position of field worker. Siyabonga has worked with our organisation for the past 4
years. During this period I have had the opportunity to witness his character and abilities.
Siyabonga is hard working and tackles tasks in an energetic and passionate manner. In a group,
Siyabonga often assumes a leadership position. He uses these leadership skills to motivate his peers to
work diligently at their academic studies. As a leader he is willing to make difficult decisions and is not
swayed by popularity.
Siyabonga works tirelessly to empower his local community. While studying towards an N6 Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering, he took the initiative start teaching mathematics and literacy to children from
the Drummond Farm informal settlement. Over the past 4 years he has dedicated three afternoons a
week and one Saturday morning to tutoring disadvantaged children as part of our organisation. He is
driven by a passion to serve his community and does not seek any recognition for this work. I have
found Siyabonga to be exceptionally reliable and trustworthy.
Siyabonga is also willing to work hard on areas that he feels he could improve upon. During his matric
year, he overcame difficulties that he encountered in mathematics, by attending many hours of extra
lessons. The improvements in his mathematics have aided him in his current engineering studies.
I have no doubt that Siyabonga will prove to be a capable employee. His determination to learn and
work hard will see him add significant value to your organisation. If you have any questions, feel free to
contact me at the above address.
Yours sincerely
Peter Klein
