To Whom It May Concern
Re: Xin Li
I am happy to provide this letter of recommendation for Xin Li, who I have known
as a peer mentor in the University of Sydney Business School’s Peer Mentoring
Program during the first nine weeks of second semester, 2016.
The Business School Peer Mentoring Program aims to build social and academic
networks for commencing students in order to increase their sense of belonging
to the learning community of the School. This in turn leads to a more successful,
productive and positive personal and academic experience in first year for them.
Xin displayed a high level of commitment to both the program and to fellow
students. All mentors undertook training in leadership and teamwork,
organisation, interpersonal and cultural competence skills. Each small group met
a minimum of three times, and maintained weekly email communication.
Xin demonstrated his organisational and leadership skills in arranging meetings
with his group, and problem solving skills in assisting first years with issues as
they arose.
I am enormously grateful to Xin for a superb contribution to the Business School
Peer Mentoring Program, and wish them every success in the future.
Sincerely,
Daniel Smith
