To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to recommend Eli Kanter for any position he may pursue. I was Eli’s direct
supervisor while Eli was an intern with the SouthCoast Energy Challenge from June 2014
until September 2014. In our internship, he was required to work with the community and
educate individuals about energy saving actions which reduce their carbon footprint. During
his time with us, Eli showed great leadership in his work.
Eli was a reliable employee who always succeeded in his goals. He met and exceeded every
one of our expectations for interns. He went above and beyond many times, always with a
positive attitude. As an intern, Eli was expected to work independently, and on a team, and
succeeded at both. Eli is always willing to help others succeed, and helped other team
members by problem solving with them, and leading by example. He even would volunteer to
take on extra responsibilities to make sure that the entire team succeeded.
Eli showed excellent communication skills, which were essential to the position. He worked
well with the general public, as well as other staff and management. Both his written and oral
skills are impressive. He often spoke to groups of people and showed skill in educating
others. When challenges arose, he demonstrated excellent independent problem solving skills.
Eli was good at planning and making sure he had concrete ways of achieving his goals, and
was prepared for challenges as they arrived.
Eli showed great commitment to our organization, and we would have him back again, given
the chance. If you are reading this, you would be lucky to have Eli Kanter on your team
where he would continue to practice leadership. Thanks to his work this semester, our team
reached over 100% in every goal category we had for the Summer 2014 internship. I hope
you will consider him for a position with your organization.
Sincerely,
Diana Marie Painter
