1. To Whom it May Concern:
I first met Tim Ferret in 2007 when we both began working at Greenville College as RDs. We worked
closely together for three years and got to know each other quite well over that time. Our personal
friendship has continued to this day, and we remain colleagues even though we both work for different
schools. I’ve seen Tim grow and mature in the field of Student Development and know firsthand that he
is eager and excited to continue his own personal and professional development.
Tim puts a lot of thought and intentionality into whatever work he finds himself. As I have observed him
over the years I have seen him ask great questions about the philosophy behind a policy or event. He is
really good at coming up with new ideas and challenging the mantra “because that’s the way we’ve
always done it.” Time and again I have seen Tim carry more than his fair share of a project because he is
passionate and cares deeply for the work he does.
As a natural leader, Tim brings people together and helps them buy into what he is trying to accomplish.
He leads with integrity and character at the forefront of what he does and he is not afraid to challenge
others to do the same. He is a fun person to be around and he genuinely loves being around and
working with college students. At Greenville, Tim was always bringing colleagues, friends, and students
together in his home for the purpose of building community and to deepen relationships with one
another.
Over the years, Tim has consistently pushed himself to further the scope of his influence and has taken
on more leadership roles as he has seized opportunities that come before him. There is no doubt in my
mind, that Tim will do the job set before him and he will do it with excellence. I highly recommend Tim
because I know that I would be honored to work with or for him. He is a definite asset to any
organization that would be fortunate enough to have him work for them.
If you have further questions or would like to discuss Tim Ferret further, I would be happy to do that. My
