Introduction
 Google Drive allows uploading files and folders from
your personal computer .
 You can share uploaded files and folders with
other people.
 You can upload files to a specific folder or to Google
Drive “root” directory.
 You can upload folders into another folder or to
Google Drive “root” directory.
Opening Google Drive
To open Google Drive you should take the following steps:
 Go to google.com or gmail.com
 Log in to your account
 Open Google Drive

Uploading files
 Click Upload button and select Files or Folder from the
drop down menu.
 Choose Files if you want to upload file(s).
 Choose Folder if you want to upload folder(s).
Uploading a file
 Select a file (or files) from the dialog window and click
Open button.
Uploading a file
 Your file(s) will be uploaded to the Drive.
Uploading a folder
 You can also upload a folder (or folders) with files inside it.
 Click Upload button and select Folder from the drop
down menu.
 Select a folder from the dialog window and click OK
button.

 Your folder and files inside of it will be uploaded to the
Google Drive.
File types
 You can upload various file types such as:
 Documents (Word, Excel, TXT, PDF)
 Power Point presentations (PPT)
 Images (JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF)
 Video files (MPEG, AVI, FLV, WMV)
 Audio files (MP3, WAV)
 and more
Sharing files and folders
To share uploaded files and folders you have to follow the
same steps as when you share Google Drive documents.
 Select files and/or folders.
 Click Share button that appeared at the top of the page.
 Select who can access your files/folders by changing
visibility and access options.
 Invite people you would like to share your files/folders with
by sending them a link to your file.

More button and selecting Share from the drop down
menu.
