CONTENT ANALYSIS
The poet was inattentive in the science class one day when she was asked by her teacher to explain
Newton’s Law of Gravity and Mass. The frightened Nandita stuttered about Gravity before falling
down unconscious. This brought forth a roar of laughter in the class. The teacher took it to be a
demonstration of gravity and appreciated it. She also won much more applause from her friends. This
incident made her take a resolution never to be in attentive in the science classes.

INFORMAL INTERACTION
The teacher enters the class and greets them.
Then she tries to establish rapport through
informal interaction.
Students are given ample scope to engage
themselves in the talk. Thus teacher creates a
learning environment for the students to learn
through an informal talk or discussion.
WARMING ACTIVITY
In order track the student’s attention, the
teacher starts the class with a warm up
activity. Teacher asks students to raise and sit
multiple times.
SUBMISSION PHASE
The teacher checks the homework that was
given in the previous class. The teacher asks
the class volunteer to collect and submit their
notebook after the class at the teacher’s room
for further correction and clarification.
CHECKING PRIOR KNOWLEGE
To check out the previous knowledge, the
students are made to sit in groups. The teacher
provides the students with a game activity.
For that activity cards are distributed.
ARRANGE THE INCIDENT: For each group
multiple cards are distributed. The cards
contain various incidents from the poem
(Newton’s Law), which was taught in the
previous class. The students are asked to
arrange it in correct order. Lot with group
4. names are introduced. The randomly selected
group can read their WRITE UP.

The teacher then links the response to the
chapter.
Tr: Today we are going to learn the rest of the
poem.

Who was the narrator of the poem?
Then the teacher writes the title of the poem
on the black board.
MICROPROCESSING OF THE INPUT
Model Recitation
The teacher asks the students to close the text
book and listen to the teacher while she is
reciting the poem. She recites the poem with
proper stress, rhythm and intonation.
The students might listen to the teacher with
rapt attention to notice teacher’s style of
recitation and pronunciation.
Track Reading
Now, the teacher asks the students to open
their text book and read the poem silently,
indefinitely their difficulties and understand
the beauty of the poem along with the
message the poet wants to convey through her
experience.

The students are asked to pick out the difficult
words from the given stanza

The students find out their queries. Teacher
clarifies it and provides the students with
certain word meanings with the help of PPT

makes it clear to the students with the help of
pictures from the PPT Slides. Teacher shows

Teacher asks the students to write a
conversation between Nandita Das and
teacher, where the teacher is appreciating
Nandita Das for her way of answering the
questions (at least three dialogues).
