PRE- REQUISITES
Pupils have knowledge about atmosphere and different gases from previous classes.
TEACHING LEARNING RESOURCES
 Chart (Atmospheric gases and its amount)
 Picture of astronauts
 Globe
 Black board and chalk.
INTRODUCTION
Teacher enter in to the classroom and wish the pupil. Make sure the classroom settings and make a casual talk to
them. Then teacher ask a note book from the any of them in the class, and look its covering. If it perfectly covered or not
teacher start to talk about the necessity of covering notebook and textbook for it supply. Teacher ask to pupil, why things
are cover? For safety , beauty etc. are get from them. Earth have a cover like this, it is natural. Today we going to study
about this covering.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE LESSON
Content Classroom Interaction Process Pupil responds
The air envelope that surrounds the
earth is known as atmosphere.
The covering or envelope of earth is
called,
Atmosphere (B B H)
Atmosphere have different character, It
extends to a height of several
kilometers from the surface of the
earth.
Do you hear about gravitation force?
Atmosphere is held to the earth by
gravitational force Teacher show place
of atmosphere using globe .
People will say ‘Yes’
Several gases found in the atmosphere
in different amount
The air envelop that surrounds the earth
is known as atmosphere. Teacher repeat
the sentence.
Atmosphere have different composition
Compositions of Atmosphere (Chart)
Nitrogen 78.084 %
Oxygen 20.947 %
Argon 0.934%
Carbon Dioxide 0.0314 %
Neon 0.0018 %
Are all the gases in the atmosphere
found in the same amount ? Teacher
asking. From the table, we can
understand that the nitrogen (78.01 %)
is most available gases.
Pupil will try to say that with teacher.
Most of the people say “ No”
Dust particles formed from the burning
up of comets.
In the atmosphere.
Oxygen, Argon, Carbon dioxide, neon
etc. are the other gases what is the
amount of oxygen? Teacher asking
Other than gases, water vapor and dust
particles are the also found in the lower
portions of the atmosphere.
Dust Particles (B.B)
How dust particles reach the
atmosphere?
 Dust particles carried by which.
 Dust particles formed from the
burning up of comets that enter.
These are the two ways which
dust particle reach in atmosphere
Pupil will say 20.9 %
Through winds p upil will say.
Water vapor to condenses to form cloud
and fog
Dust in the atmosphere becomes the
condensation nuclei.
You all know about the formation of
water vapor
Water Vapor (BB)
Water vapor and dust particles in the
atmosphere that help the formation of
clouds and different forms of
precipitation.
Water vapor condenses to form
clouds fog.
We all know about the functioning
of rain and raining in former classes, do
you remember that ? Teacher asking.
Which the water vapor to condense,
the dust in the atmosphere becomes
condensation nuclei.
There are called aerosols (B. B)
Dusts, Aerosols, Water vapor, Gases
etc. are contain atmosphere.
Most of the pupil say ‘yes’
CONSOLIDATION
Teacher repeat all main points, what is atmosphere, the contains of atmosphere different gases, dust, water vapor,
aerosols etc. Then teacher told them about the formation of cloud and fog. Then teacher said the importance of atmosphere
and need of protect it to pupil and said to keep our atmosphere more better.
REVIEW QUESTIONS
 What is atmosphere ?
 What are the different gases of the atmosphere?
 Which gas of atmosphere is high in amount?
 What condenses to form cloud and fog?
 How does dust particles formed in atmosphere?
 What are aerosols?
 What are the composition contents of atmosphere?
POST LESSON ACTIVITY
 Write a list of components in atmosphere.
 Check out the relevance of the following statement.
 Atmosphere is the unavoidable part of the atmosphere for the existents of living things.
