Content Standard: 3.1 Pupils able to form letters and words in in
neat legible print.
Learning Standard: 3.1.2 Able to copy and write in neat legible
print :
a) small ( lowercase) letters
b) capital ( uppercase ) letters
Objective: Pupils able to copy and write words.
Spell words.
Time: 60 minutes
Teaching Aids: Textbook year 1, Activity book, exercise book.

1. Teacher guide pupils to
Pronounce words
given.
Mastery learning Words: Tap, sat, pat, sap.
2. Teacher asks them to
complete exercises in their
Activity book.
Contextual Learning: by
drawing pupil’s previous
knowledge to complete the
exercise.
Activity book exercise:
Word from the story, syllable
word with the phonemes /t/,
/æ/ and /p/.
3. Teacher recite the
paragraph given and
Pupils repeat after teacher
Reinforcement through
repetition.
Refer Appendix.
4. Asessment:
Teacher ask pupils to
write down the paragraph
in their exercise book & use
color pencil to highlight
selected word.
