Drink to your fill
Narrated by Ibn Abbas that “When a you drink
zamzam face the Ka'ba, take the name of Allah.
Take three sips and drink to you fill”. As the
Prophet said, “The difference between us and
the hypocrites is that they do not drink to a full
stomach”. (Ibn Majah)
Abdul Muttalib's vow
1) Made a vow that if Allah bless him with 10 children he would sacrifice one of them in
the name of Allah.
2) Seen a dream instructing him to fulfil his vow.
3) Used arrows to draw lots to determine which son will be sacrificed
4) One draw lot is equivalent to 10 camels.
5) They sacrificed 100 camels.
6) Thus, Abdullah was known as Ibn Zabih and the Prophet was known as Ibn Zabihayn.
7) Abdul Muttalib was strict when fulfilling vows.
Marriage to Amina
Wahab Bin Abdu Munaf – Father of Amina,
married to Abdullah
Wuhaib Bin Abdu Munaf – Uncle of Amina, had a
daughter name Halah who Abdul Muttalib
married and Hamza was born from her.
Both Abdul Muttalib and Abdullah were married in
the same session.
Ibn Abbas says
Came across a jewish woman by the name of
Fatimah bint murr.
She was well versed with the torah and injeel.
When she seen Abdullah she said, “I will give you
100 camels if you illicitly intimate with me”.
Why?
Abdullah replied with a couplet:
“Death is far easier then perpetrating a Haram
act. And a action I cannot imagine ever
occurring and cannot be permitted”.
“So how is it possible to perpetrate a immoral
deed you are hoping for”,
“An honourable man safeguards his deen and
honour,”
Mentioned by Tabari (Vol 2 pg 175)with a complete chain of narrators
whom are narrators of Bukhari
