This document provides steps for constructing a discrete probability distribution: 1) Assign letters to represent each possible outcome 2) Determine the sample space of all possible outcomes 3) Count the number of occurrences of each value of the random variable 4) Calculate the probability of each value by dividing its frequency by the total number of possible outcomes It then provides two examples: tossing three coins and summing the outcomes of rolling two dice, to illustrate constructing probability distributions and histograms.
