Mindfulness is not only personal, it can be used in the organisation,
enculturating the organisation
Science proves that having a mindfulness centre at work improves stress levels
and lowers absenteeism. Makes employees more courageous, empathetic,
focussed, and able to deal with crisis better
Neuro neurons – mimic others unconsciously – have a morning mindfulness
session together as a team, start each meeting with a centering moment of
silence, choose practices which are relevant to challenges the team is facing

  • 1. Integration into the Workplace What have you done differently at work during and after the mindfulness sessions? How do you think about mindfulness today? What have you done differently at home during and after the mindfulness sessions? Why is it important to integrate mindfulness into your work life?
  • 2. Mindful Meetings MEETING AGENDA MINDFULLY LISTENING MINDFULLY PARTICIPATING MINDFULLY NOTING THE TASKS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR AFTER EACH MEETING MINDFUL FEEDBACK TO THE MEETING HOST
  • 3. Mindful work sessions Mindful daily and weekly planning – in accordance with your KPA’s and Priorities Blocking off time in your diary for admin, reports, emails, general day to day work Ensuring you have small breaks in between work sessions Blocking off time to have a mindful lunch break
  • 4. Mindful discussions with colleagues Taking the time to greet your team and colleagues daily Notice your colleagues, are they looking well or not, are they responding to you in a relaxed and open manner, what does their body language tell you, show compassion for each person. Spending some time in mindful discussion with each of your team members, get to know the people you work with closely Be in the here and now when talking with your colleagues
  • 5. Mindful Direction – self and others Are you mindful about setting the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals? How are you ensuring that you are mindfully moving in the right direction to ensure your goals and priorities are met with an easier feeling than before? How are you directing others mindfully? How are you participating with your colleagues and team to achieve the goals of your department?

Mindful Leadership Develop trusted relationships with your fellow leaders and subordinates Check with yourself for any negative bias you may have toward others Notice any judgements you have – find out what is behind the judgement Be authentic with your teams Get to know others in a more meaningful way Lead your team – keeping them up to date on information, regular feedback on their work, encouragement, understanding and empathy

Mindful Practice in Teams Mindfulness is not only personal, it can be used in the organisation, enculturating the organisation Science proves that having a mindfulness centre at work improves stress levels and lowers absenteeism. Makes employees more courageous, empathetic, focussed, and able to deal with crisis better Neuro neurons – mimic others unconsciously – have a morning mindfulness session together as a team, start each meeting with a centering moment of silence, choose practices which are relevant to challenges the team is facing
