Relationship Between Rising Us Unemployment and the...
Is there a relationship between rising US unemployment and the rise of the Canadian dollar?
Canada s financial stability depends on the health of America s economy, as international trade
accounts for 45% of Canada s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 79% of exports are to the United
States. Canadian and American unemployment rates are positively correlated for that reason, as
exemplified in early 2009. Canada s unemployment rate quickly steepened as the United States rate
gradually increased to about 10% (refer to graph 1 and 2). During this time, Canada s growing
trade surplus became a deficit in only a few months (refer to graph 3). From this data, one can
determine that Canada s exports decreased rapidly due to rising economic ... Show more content on

Although lower interest rates can improve domestic spending, it will discourage foreign
investors because the return on their investments decreases. As of September 2011, the US
interest rate is close to 0% and Canada s rate is at 1% as determined by the Bank of Canada. Low
interest rates indicate that the US is in poor financial health. More countries will want to invest in
Canada if the US is in a risky financial situation and additionally, provides low returns. The value of
the Canadian dollar rises when demand increases.
Due to America s increasing government debt and declining interest rates, Canada s economy is
comparatively more stable. Canada s credit rating is currently higher than America s. A credit
rating indicates the financial health of a country and how large the risk is for lenders to invest.
Standard and Poor s, a credit rating agency, currently downgraded America s rating to AA+ from
the highest score of AAA. The downgrade was a result of the U.S. s increasing debt from the
recession. Canada s credit rating is still the highest at triple A because of the country s stability.
Canada is more attractive to invest in, as there are solid returns on the interest rates and low risk
for lenders. Increased demand in Canadian assets can result in a higher exchange rate. Investors
want to put money into a country where they believe it is a safe haven.
Although Canada can become more

Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application form that students must
complete to qualify for financial aid such as grants, loans and work study. Colleges use the report to
determine what aid the student qualifies for in order to put together a financial aid package.
President Obama has proposed to join with states to eliminate tuition and fees at community
colleges nationwide. The U.S. Department of Educations National Center for Education Statistics
shows that approximately seventy percent of undergraduates received some type of student aid
during the 2011 12 academic year. Both Republican and Democratic members of Congress have
recently simplified the FAFSA form; it is fairly simple to complete and is available

The International Planned Parenthood Federation
Progress in reducing maternal mortality has been slow and uneven, including in Latin America,
where 23,000 women die each year from preventable causes. Citation (research) The International
Planned Parenthood Federation helps address this concerns; this organization is located in 170
countries. This paper will specifically focus on the globalizationissues within five Latin states as
well as the economic plans within the IPPF overall. The International Planned Parenthood
Federationcan benefit from economic globalization, however, it really depends on the global market
and government monitoring specifically within the Latin states. This includes expenses, exchange
loss, transparency and restricted funding. It is of my opinion that the International Planned
Parenthood indeed does benefit from economic globalization within certain limitations. I think it is
important to first understand what the International Planned Parenthood Federation does and why
its existence is essential in this world. The International Planned Parenthood Federation is a
global service provider and a leading advantage of sexual and reproductive health and rights for
all. We are a worldwide movement of national organizations working with and for communities
and individuals. IPPF works towards the world where women, men and young people everywhere
have control over their own bodies, and therefore their destinies. The world where they are free to
choose parenthood or not; free to decide how many

Turkey Snooding Research Paper
Turkey are very family oriented. Female turkys care for their young when they are little and it
will be pain full to kill them if they have kids. Young tukey s know as poults and learn they learn
how to keep safe and how to survive from their mother so if like u were to hurt one the young
might die also and not survive. It is also very hard to tell for baby turkerkys how to tell mothers
figures. Many tukey s even those who have great cruelty at human s hands will happily sit for
hours having their feathers strouik. Loving Beatrice above a farmer farm turkey rescued by
Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, is a huge snugglebug despite having been mutilated by
humans as a baby. Susie Coston has worked with rescued farm animals for a while including many
many turkeys. Modern days tukey s have been bred to be so grotesquely large that even they can

highly stressful, and causes them to be abnormally aggressive.... Show more content on

De snooding involves cutting off the snood, the fleshy red protuberance that dangles over turkeys
beaks and is used to attract mates. De toeing, or toe clipping, is a painful debilitation inflicted
with shears or microwaves, and is practiced despite the fact that it is associated with lameness and
higher early mortality. Debeaking is performed using sharp shears, a heated blade, or a high
voltage electrical current. Turkeys beaks are loaded with sensory receptors, much like human

Why Is Tiger Woods Influential
Influential:(adjective) having or exerting influence, especially great influence. The dictionary s
definition is very basic, but in reality we need a lot more influential people in this world. In
these past 30 years, there has been one person that s been extraordinarily influential. He goes by
the name Eldrick Tont Woods. His nickname Tiger was given him by his dad, in honor of his dad
s South Vietnamese combat buddy, Nguyen Phong, who saved Tiger s father s life in the Vietnam
War(Brantley). Tiger is an outstanding golfer. He has won over 79 PGA tour
events, second most in
history. Tiger Woodsset an amazing pro golfcareer in motion in 1997, when he became the youngest

This foundation helps the less fortunate kids in America with their education. Tiger emphasizes
children with his charitable pursuits. His Tiger Woods Foundation helps young people and has
reached millions of youth worldwide by delivering unique experiences and innovative
educational opportunities. Tiger Woods is influential because he cares a lot about kids and
wants to see them succeed in life. Established in 1996, the Tiger Woods Foundation believes
every child deserves a shot at college. Designed to break through a culture of low expectations,
the TWF college access programs reach underserved youth in all stages of academic life. For
scholars in grades 5 12, the TGR Learning Labs provide hands on experiences in science,
technology, engineering and math, coupled with college preparation workshops to create a unique
environment focused on college and careers. This is some of the ways the Tiger Woods
Foundation works. Tiger has spent his own money on creating this foundation, instead of spending
the money on something he would want(vacation, car, ect). Scholarships could have been enough.

He is also a great motivator and a great leader. He has the kind of courage, candour, and
communication skills it takes, and that we need to turn tradition on its head all of which means
that he is a very innovative, and inspirational leader which is just the sort of leader that Ford
needs at the moment. Especially as the article points out that only 1 in 4 workers will be left
over after the huge job losses announced in the way forward programme.. The staff who will
remain will need careful handling and if they are going to adapt to the new conditions will
require the reassurance that a charismatic leader can provide. Ford needs an autocratic leader 3 as
one who can show the way out of the mess they are in by being decisive and getting the job done.

Stylisticism In The Swimmer Poem
The Liffey Swim is a painting capturing the annual Dublin river race. It cleverly depicts the
crowd gathered flowing out of the painting. This makes the viewer feel like they are a part of the
artwork and action that is taking place in the painting. The crowd leaning forward and the
passengers passing by on the tram trying to catch a glimpse of the race, bring the viewers eyes to
the three swimmers portrayed trying to see for themselves, what everyone is paying attention too.
Yeats captures the atmosphere and thrill of an event that has been part of Dublin s annual sporting
calendar since 1920 1. It is speculated that the character portrayed wearing the brown fedora is

They both portray people during important life events and memories. The most obvious difference
is the abandonment of realism and trying to portray the scenes truthfully. In the first painting, The
Liffey Swim, Yeats evidently tries to be precise and accurate and to depict the scene truthfully.
Yeats, in his early works, adopted Sickett s use of short thick strokes of paint and his manner of
correlating colour 2. The colours he used are very neutral, mostly browns, dark blues, muddy reds,
and dull yellows, with a contrasting light blue sky which brightens the painting. His use of warm
and cold colours creates unity and variety. His use of warm earthy colours in the foreground
creates unity. However, the contrast between the warm earthy colours in the foreground and the
cool blue colours in the background create variety. The waves in the water create a sense of
motion and are slightly more curved around the swimmers showing their impact on the movement
of the water. The people depicted leaning forward also create a sense of motion and action taking
place. This sense of movement directs the viewers eyes around the

of the greatest boxers of all time. He is an inspiration to many children around the world coming
from a poor family to becoming one of the greatest athletes of all time (Rummel). With confidence
and bravery Muhammad Ali built his way up to the top. He is a great American for introducing his
new tactics like staying light on his feet and his patented rope and dope by tiring out his players

techniques and excellence endurance.
On February 25th, 1964 Muhammad Ali, also known as Cassius Clay, faced Sonny Listonin a

Children Are An Important Part Of The Continuation Of...
Children are an important part of the continuation of humanity, both as a species and culturally.
However, there are few references, outside of the instances where laws in relation to orphans or
widows or introduced, that discuss children in the Old Testament. There are times where the birth
of a child is mentioned, as is the case when Eve bore Cain in Genesis 4.1. However, there is no
mention of his childhood. Rather, the story continues when he is an adult farmer. The New
Testament includes references to children other than as a reference to genealogy or to celebrate a
birth. These are very important to understanding the shift in tone from the previous books of the
Bible. In Matthew 18, the disciples ask Jesuswho the greatest in the kingdom of heaven will be
(18.1). He calls a child from among them before answering in the following verse. Before
examining the answer, it is work noting that children are present. It is easy to forget when reading
through the previous books that there are children, whether they are the patriarch s, a villager s, or
a servant s, that could be present in many of the scenes depicted. They are not mentioned because
their presence is unimportant to that particular tale. However, here they are important. So
important, that Jesus feels the need to bring one to him. It is also important to note that the text
only says that [h]e called a child (4.2). This child is not identified as male or female, the fact is
irrelevant to this particular story.

Deficits are financed by borrowings that itself increase the debt. If the ratio debt to GDP gets too
high, investors will worry that the government will either default on this debt or will devaluate by
monetising its debt and in this way engineer a high inflation rate. According to the Maastricht
Treaty, the EU countries should not have a budget deficit higher than 3% of the GDP and a debt
higher than 60% of the GDP.
I.2.Overview the budget deficit in Viet Nam for the latest 5 years
Macroeconomic Report 2012 titled from macroeconomic instability to restructuring released by the
National Assembly s Economic Committee announced that Vietnam s state budget deficit and
public debts have increased rapidly.
The report (Figure 1 Annex) pointed out that the country has suffered constantly increasing the
state budget deficit for more than a decade. Particularly, the average state budget deficit
(excluding repayments for Vietnam s original debts) in the 2003 2007 period was only 1.3
percent of GDP, but this figure had more than doubled to 2.7 percent of GDP in the 2008 2012
period.
Especially in recent years, ongoing budget deficits have led to the rapid growth of public debt.
Vietnam s total public debts have increased from about 40 percent of GDP in late 2007 to 57
percent of GDP at the end of 2010 and only declined slightly in 2011. At the same time, Vietnam s
foreign debts have surged

The Rise Of Zombies On Popular Culture
Introduction
Is it possible to kill an idea when it is undead? Classic movie monsters tend to fade in and out of
popularity as audiences grow bored and move on to fresher concepts. But there is one that has
risen up and does not seem to slow down: zombies. Zombies have gone from being a small
subgenre of horror film to a staple of popular culture across various media. This paper will explore
the rise of zombies in popular culture and why it continues to remain relevant.
Origins
When picturing a zombie the image of a undead person looking for its next human meal comes to
mind. While this is the foundation of what the contemporary belief of a zombie is, the actual
origin has a far deeper and darker history than what is portrayed today. In the 17th century, Haiti;
at the time known as Saint Domingue, was colonized by France. Slaves were brought in from
Africa to work on the sugar plantations. These slaves were subject to such brutal and horrible
conditions that many of them died after a few years of service at a rate two to three times higher
than any other type of plantation (Berlin 21). A belief rose among the slaves that if they died, they
would return to la guinГ©e (Africa) and be free but there was a catch. If they committed suicide;

How Is Albert Einstein Honorable
The definition of honor is the great respect, fairness, honesty to someone s beliefs,
(Dictionary.com). My view of honor is showing respect to someone and doing something for
someone else before you. I believe that an example of someone who is honorable is the great
German scientist Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein accomplished many great things that prove he
was an honorable person. Some of his accomplishments were winning the Noble Peace Prize,
becoming an Honorary Doctorate at many universities, and winning many medals for his
accomplishments. The Noble Peace Prize was his most significant award (All About Science).

Albert Einstein s theories opened up the world to a new view on the sciences. When Einstein
gave his Theory of Relativity it set the base for science. His theory changed the scientific world
because what he gave in his theory was not even a thought to the scientific world. Einstein also
had an impact on the scientific world when the discovery of the atomic bomb appeared. The
Germans were on their way to discovering the bomb, but the United States was also looking for
a discovery in the atomic bomb. Albert Einstein wasn t apart of the making of the bomb, but was
given the honor of being recognized as one of the scientists that came up with the bomb, because
of his work that he did prior to the actual making of the bomb (Einstein). If it weren t for Einstein

cream, cameras, remotes, and toothpaste. In the science world Einstein isn t best known for the

Girl And Poem Barbie Doll By Susan Glaspell s Trifles
Women from generation to generation have been entrapped by society s narrow definitions of
feminine behavior, beauty, and rights. They bore to serve and take care of their husband, children,
and family. Women, based on historical information, did not have right to vote, until the nearly the
end of 1920. The first state that adapt to the women voting right was Colorado. The short storyGirl
written by Jamaica Kincaid, a Poem Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy, and a drama play Trifles by
Susan Glaspell, share similarities about how women should behave, and act from their girlhood till
they grown up and become a perfect womanthat society expected them to be.
Girl written by Jamaica Kincaid and was published in 1978. It was her first of ten stories in At
the Bottom of the River. The story is about a young girl who instructs by her mother in the duties
of how a woman is expected to become in life inspired by limited opportunities for girls at her
teenager ages. Her instructions underscore that the women must master all kinds of domestic
chores. She has to learn How to sweep the whole house...how to set the table for breakfast...how
to set the table for dinner... (Girl, p.121) Most importantly, that she needs to learn is how you
smile to someone that you don t like at all; this is how you smile to someone you like
completely. (Girl, p. 121) Moreover, she will have to learn everything that will able to help her
to become a woman that could be responsible in life and take good care of her own family in the
future. In all, the mother is just trying her best to instructing her daughter how to be a good and a
respected girl in a patriarchal society. A society which sees women either angels or devils.
Next is about Barbie Doll written by Marge Piercy. For generations, every girl have seen and played
will Barbie doll and many have always wanted to become just like her: the party girl, career women
and the beauty queen all in one. In Marge Piercy s poem, the title Barbie Doll is about a girl who
fatally entrapped by society s idea of every girl should be perfect from head to toes. In the casket
displayed on satin she lay..., dressed in a pink and white nightie. (Barbie Doll, p522) Piercy uses a

In Greek mythology Perseus was considered to be heroic because he was brave and trustworthy.
This is shown in his characteristics thru out Greek myths. As I will explain in the next few

Perseus is the son of Zues but he was raised by mortals. He wanted to help his mortal mother
because of his strong sense of family values. This lead him to show his bravery on an adventure.
While on this journey he was trusted by Polydectes who had promised Perseus Andromedas hand in

Cognitive Effects Of Multitasking
Doing difficult tasks at the same time can overwhelm our brain s ability to process information,
hurting the quality of our work. The author explains that when we attempt demanding tasks
simultaneously, we end up doing neither as well as we should because our brains have cognitive
limits . I think what the author means by cognitive means the brains process of thinking. What the
author is trying to tell us, then, is that when we do too many things at once, our brain reaches its
limit in its capacity to think and learn. When we multitask, our ability to learn, to understand, and to
remember all get affected. We reach a point where our brain, literally, cannot keep going. That s
why knowing and studying the effects of multitaskingare

NFL Case Study
1. Discuss the factors that have resulted in the NFL becoming America s Game and the most
popular sport in the country?
The fundamental reason for NFL becoming America s Game and the most popular sport in the
country is because the NFL was able to market the sport as an entertainment business.
Leveraging television and the fact that American football was only played in America, the
NFL was able to create a holiday feel that was unique and that American s took pride in, as a result
paid more attention to the sport. Another contributing factor was to control the quality of the
product. Making sure that each team had the resources to perform professionally and one team

For example Formula One, as teams survive on sponsorship revenue, teams with manufacturer
support have a greater budget to invest in drivers and engineers, ultimately having a more
competitive package, and their greater spending is also rewarded by greater commercial revenue as
the revenue is granted based on performance rather than pooling. As a result, domination by a few
teams is extremely normal in Formula One.
3. Discuss Peter O Reilly s marketing/brand strategy discussed in the case along with Alex and
Matt s comments in class. What do you think has made it successful and offer other ideas on how
the NFL can more effectively build the NFL brand and continue to grow its fan base?
Peter O Reilly s marketing/ brand strategy s main objective was to generate pride amongst
individual, families, cities and the nation. Americans develop a sense of ownership to the sport as a
result invest must more interest into it. The NFL is able to leverage the fact that
American football is not a global sport but has global audience in terms of numbers. By marketing
the brand as intense (delivering edge of your seat, heart pounding excitement ),
meaningful (being much more than just a game ), and unifying (forging bonds among families,
friends, and even strangers, uniting entire cities and even the nation ). It defines part of American

Impact Of Technology On Academic Performance
CHAPTER ONE THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE Introduction The classroom setting in the old
times consisted of teachers writing down their lessons on the board while the students copy them in
their notebooks. While this method is still practiced today, most schools now use technology in
learning. New methods of teachings are being introduced and applied in various schools in the
country. One of the improvements is the use of Powerpoint presentations for visual aids instead of
the traditional style of writing on the board or using cartolinas and manila papers. Due to this
change, students have also developed the technique of taking pictures or taking notes with the use

When Should Young People Be Allowed To Lower The Age Of...
When does someone become an adult. Is it at a certain age or certain level of maturity? A person
should be considered an adult when they mature. And by mature i mean he/she reasons better,
makes better choices, knows the consequences for making bad decisions, and are able to stand
on their own. Standing on their own is a big factor in being an adult because that s when u are
able to support yourself and not depend on parents financially and emotionally. And being able
to do that and supporting yourself means you don t need others which i believe makes a person
an adult. Reasoning better is also a sign of adulthood. Because most teenagers aren t able to
reason as good as most older people which leads to making the wrong decision which can lead to
trouble. And at the age of 18 the brain still isn t fully developed which makes people not

person named Sasha Fleischman. Agender means that the person doesn t identify as male nor
female and use the pronouns they, them, their. They were set on fire by an 16 year old African
American male named Richard Thomas. Sasha is middle class, lives in the Oakland hills and
attends a private high school at Berkeley. Richard, on the other hand, is working class, lives in

have. In the book it states, Gravity works backward here the money flows uphill. The wealthier
neighborhoods is in the hills boast good schools, low crime, and the views of the bay. (Slater, pg
7) With this quote, Slater is pointing out that Sasha as a person in middle class was affected in a
positive way. They could go to better schools, live in a place where there was less crime. It
would cause a negative effect on others in the working class as they didn t have the same
opportunities as people in the middle class. The book also describes how being at a private
school helped in Sasha being accepted. In the book it states, People were nice to each other at
Maybeck, accepting. But the school still had social groupings. (Slater, pg 18) This quote is
saying that class affected Sasha in a positive way because in high school was accepting. If they
were in the middle class it would have been different since they wouldn t have been able to go to
a small private school. Class did affect Sasha in a negative way due to having better opportunities

Follow-On Lab Report
The purpose of these series of experiment was successful as seen from the results. The recombinant
form of the green fluorescent protein was successfully expressed and purified from E. coli. Though
a high yield and purity were not obtained, the qualitative monitoring of the rGFP activity was
consistent with the quantitative values obtained. Qualitatively, the elution fraction E2 fluoresced
the most when placed under a hand held UV lamp. Quantitatively, E2 also had the highest activity
with 41900 RFUs when read by a fluorescent microplate reader. One way to increase the yield of
rGFP would be to increase the IPTG induction time. This would increase the amount of rGFP that is
expressed and consequently increase the amount of rGFP that is purified. There were other things

Gertrude And Ophelia And Hamlet Character Analysis
Imagine being told that you are loved, and then are treated like you are worth nothing. This is a
reality for the women in Hamlet written by William Shakespeare; Gertrude and Ophelia. Women in
the 1600s were seen as objects with no value and were only there for the convenience of the male
in their life. Gertrudeand Ophelia are the only two female characters in the play, and there are many
males in the play that treat them with disrespect. Hamletis the big offender of these two women in
the play. The relationship between Ophelia and Hamlet is confusing because it goes back and
forth, where Hamlet loves Ophelia, to where he never loved her, disrespecting her beyond
belief. Gertrude, Hamlet s mother, is married to Claudius, King Hamlet s brother, and this
frustrates Hamlet. Hamlet lashes out at Gertrude for this marriage, being mistreated by her own
son. In Hamlet, both main characters are portrayed as objects with little to no significance and
are treated with no respect by their male counterparts. Ophelia, Hamlet s lustful partner, is shown
the most disrespect throughout the play. Ophelia s whole life is centered around her father, and
the play allows Ophelia no mind of her own; instead it has her minding her father s precepts
(Johnson 111). This is supported by the text when she says, I do not know, my lord, what I
should think (1.3.113). She just tries to please her father. Ophelia admits to Polonius that she has
a relationship with Hamlet and he exclaims, In few, Ophelia,/ Do not believe his vows (1.3.135
136). He wants her to have nothing to do with Hamlet and she simply obeys. One things is clear to
her auditors, however: whatever she is saying, it relates to her father (Johnson 112). This is one of
many mistreatments she gets by men in the play. Hamlet and Ophelia are having a lustful
relationship where the lovebetween them is not mutual, where Ophelia loves him, but Hamlet
does not reciprocate. In the beginning of the play, Ophelia receives a letter from Hamlet which
says, Doubt thou the stars are fire,/ Doubt that the sun doth move,/ Doubt truth to be a liar,/ But
never doubt I love./ O dear Ophelia, I am ill at these numbers. I have not /art to reckon my groans,
but that I love

San Andreas Fault Earth Earthquake
1906 San Andreas Fault Earth Quake: A Catalyst to Scientific Understanding In 1906 a
geological event occurred that has impacted not only the United States, but also the global

parts of California in shambles for nearly 300 miles (Galvin). People were capable of feeling the
seismic activity as far north as Oregon, southern California, and reports of vibrations were even
felt in Nevada. This paper will discuss what exactly happened on April 18, 1906, why the

world was experiencing technological breakthroughs throughout all disciplines of science.
Earthquakes, up until that time were a phenomenon that many didn t know much about. Scientists

I chose the Myers Briggs Type Indicator topic for my paper because I find it interesting. I have
taken the actual Myers Briggs Test through the career counseling center on campus, and it gave
me a bit of direction in my life. However, I thought it would be more useful to discover the
background on it and see how it functions within business. I think using an inventory can tell
people a great deal about themselves. Similar to the collection of inventories we have taken in
class, they give invaluable insight to the way one works, thinks, and acts. This has basis in my area
of study, psychology. I think knowing they way one thinks and communicates can help people

Any and all experiences in life involved two basic processes perception and interpretation.
Perception is what we experience and interpretation is what we make of the experience (Goby
Lewis, 2000). The typology was based off Carl Jung s beliefs, but was researched in the 1940 s and
1950 s. Following the end of World War II, the idea was picked up and worked on by Katherine
C. Briggs, who had seen incompatible matches during the war between skills of individuals and
the duties they were given. She wanted to find an instrument that could make it easier to select
appropriate people for their respected jobs. Katherine Briggs daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers,
eventually joined her mother in her research (Goby Lewis, 2000).
Extraversion vs. Introversion
The first preference in the inventory is called Favorite World, this means where a person focuses
their attention ( MBTI Basics n.d.). The two options are E or I, Extraversion or Introversion.
Focusing attention on people and things or the outer world, is extraversion. Focusing attention on
the ideas and information or one s inner world is introversion (Hammer, 2014). People who prefer
extraversion usually put more effort into activities and the people surrounding them. The opposite
of that is those who typically put more effort into themselves and prefer introversion ( Myers
Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) 2014). If a person

can come from a criminal past or criminal experience, possibly to develop due to living

Once a doctor can establish the symptoms, they can diagnose and get an understanding of what
may have caused those symptoms to develop. Researchers are found to look at the behavior causes
of Antisocial Personality Disorder rather than the personality traits and psychopathological aspects

Racial Zoning Research Paper
Distinguished in chapters three and four of The Color of Law, racial zoning is a way for
organizations to manipulate and control what neighborhoods African Americans and other ethnic
minority groups reside in. Due to this, many of African Americans viewed racial zoning as a
serious threat to their well being in the United States. With the help of Jim Crow laws, exclusionary
zoning, and the On Your Own Home campaign, banks and real estate agents had provoked
economic discrimination towards various ethnic minority groups. Furthermore, through the
concepts of dysfunctionalism, social inequality, latent functionalism, and Eurocentrism as seen in
The Real World, racial zoning has negatively affected African Americans from breaking out of what
the world considers them to be.
After the American Civil War, newly freed slaves started... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

With this intention, banks and real estate agents will no longer be readily available in urban
communities, but in suburban regions. The reasoning for this stem back to the overall goal of
keeping African Americans separate from whites. Now, however, without banks and real estate
agents, urban communities do not have the same privilege as someone from a suburban household.
This is viewed through the concepts of social inequality and Eurocentrism because of the
unwillingness of whites; there is an unequal distribution of prestige regarding African American
rights. In conclusion, African Americans were targeted for the ideology of racial zoning. Jim Crow
laws, exclusionary zoning, and the On Your Own Home campaign, all helped support this ideology
and furthermore established what concepts simulated these policies. Dysfunctionalism, social
inequality, latent functionalism, and Eurocentrism explain why and what racial zoning

I highly suggest that you use dumbbells often because of the fact that they give your arms that
specific and targeted workout. Make sure that you don t always do bicep curls, as there are
many other types of exercises that you can do to make dumbbells more powerful to use. For
example, you can place the dumbbells out in front of you and allow for the weight to take over.
Hold onto it as hard as you can and enjoy the burning sensations in your arms. They can help you
out tremendously with gaining more muscles. You will find out later on that dumbbells are some
of the most important things to do in a men s bodybuilding workout program. The best part is that
you can always do different types of variations in the

The Association Between Primary And Secondary Psychopathy...
This study used a correlation design to investigate the association between primary and secondary
psychopathy and cognitive empathy. 452 first year psychology students completed Levenson, Kiehl
and Fitzpatrick s (1995) Levenson self report Psychopathy scale (LSRP) and Baron Cohen,
Wheelwright, Hill, Raste and Plumb s (2001) Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET). A
significant negative correlation was found between primary psychopathyand empathy while the
correlation for secondary psychopathy and empathy was insignificant. From this it can be
concluded that primary psychopaths are worse at empathising than secondary psychopaths.
Association between Primary and Secondary Psychopathy and Cognitive Empathy
Psychopathy is a disorder which can be split into two subtypes, primary and secondary. Primary
psychopathy is typified by callous, manipulative, selfish and untruthful behaviour (Karpman, 1948,
as cited in Levenson, Kiehl Fitzpatrick, 1995). Secondary psychopathy is associated with anxiety,
introversion, low self esteem and moodiness (Blackburn Fawcett, 1999 as cited by Ali Chamorro
Premuzic, 2010). Cognitive empathy is described as the being able to understand and infer
emotions of others (Joliffee Farrington, 2004 as cited by Ali Chamorro Premuzic). Understanding
the association between Psychopathy and Empathy is an area of interest as it provides insight on
how to effectively rehabilitate psychopaths; if they are showing the

Plans for Retirement
Retirement is often in the front of many U.S. workers minds during their later year of
employment. However, the most important undertakings of retirement happen during ones first
few years in the job industry. There are many options available to employees and employers
alike, and to make the proper decision one must have at least a basic understanding of
opportunities made accessible to them. This paper will discuss the individual retirement accounts,
pensions plans and the benefits made available by social security. It will go into depth on the
benefits are of a 401k plan and Roth IRA, the difference between defined benefit and defined
contribution pensions, and discuss who is eligible for certain benefits afforded by social... Show

Yet another type of individual retirement plan is the Keogh plan. A Keogh plan differs from
IRAs and 401(k) s in that they are designed for self employed professionals, typically small
business owners. Full time employees of a small business must be included in the plan if they have
worked for the company for at least three years. (3) As with the other retirement plans mentioned,
one cannot take money out of a Keogh until the age of 59 ВЅ years without penalty. Keogh plans
also allow individuals to put their funds into the plan on a tax free basis, with the individual
paying taxes upon withdrawal. Small business owners can set their own eligibility requirements
for employees to meet in order to take part in a Keogh. For example the employer can require
employees to be full time, to meet a certain age requirement (cannot exceed 21 however), and to
have worked for the company for a set amount of time. (3) Keogh plans are attractive to small
business owners because the funds put into the plan are allowed to grow tax free, however
owners who invest in a Keogh plan need to weigh the costs with the benefits in order to gauge if a
Keogh makes economical sense. Pensions are also an important consideration when making plans
for retirement. A pension is similar to an individual retirement plans as they involve an account that
the employee pays into. A pension is a steady

An Ideal Desensitizing Agent As A Agent
Gluma desensitizer : In 1935, Grossman addressed the requirements for an ideal desensitizing agent
as: rapidly acting with long term effects, non irritating to the pulp, painless and easy to apply
without staining the tooth surface. There are many dentin sensitising agents available which
includes oxalates products, calcium phosphate desensitizers; 5% NaF varnish; Glutaraldehyde
HEMA; Gluma,HEMA + other products, NaF; SnF2; light cured adhesives; glass ionomer cements;
desensitizing dentifrices; potassium containing products; strontium chloride. They have been
shown to be very effective in providing relief from dentinal sensitivity in many studies but have
never been compared to the desensitising dentifrices(Gibson et al ,2013). The desensitising agents
can be used both in house professional application or can be used at home .They can be applied in
office as a treatment of dentinal sensitivity if any pathologies observed like gingival recession,
cervical abrasion, abfraction. It has been claimed by the manufactures(Heraeus Kulzer
International) that Gluma has been useful in the remission of DH almost instantaneously and
effectively, without the hassle of mixing, curing and multiple applications. Many studies have been
done ,few are listed below ,to establish this fact. It is successfully used for the treatment of DH and
achieves its effects by precipitation of plasma proteins, which reduces dentinal permeability and
occludes the peripheral dentinal tubules. This inhibits

Analysis Of The Book The Dark Streets
Urban fiction is a great genre, depending on the author you choose. Urban fiction is heavily
associated with minority groups and negative lifestyles. Ghetto, trashy, murder, sex, drugs, and
many other derogatory words immediately come to mind, when thinking of urban fiction. Although
an in depth glance into the mind of the author will show you that it s so much more than that. The
authors are painting a picture of reality. Through the eyes of the author we get a firsthand take on
the shocking lifestyle that many people actually live. Thug Passion is the novel that I will be
evaluating. Being that author Mz. Lady P provides everything you need to have a great urban fiction
story in this book. In this essay I will explain how the grimy streets, along with the story line, and
relatable characters make up the characteristics of a great urban fictionbook.
Mz. Lady P is one of the national bestselling authors in urban fiction. She lacks a filter and
possess grit, so nothing is held back while reading her attention grabbing books. She was born and
raised in Chicago, Illinois, and still currently resides there. A single parent, raising two boys, she
knows exactly what it s like to struggle and live in the hood. I appreciate the authenticity of her
writing along with her deep passion for writing, that is felt throughout the readings of her books.
Urban fiction is a genre that I feel you have to have personally experienced to write about. The
author should be able to draw the

The Flea By John Donne Essay
Poems are very interesting pieces of literature, and can sometimes be hard to understand. To be
able to understand poems, it is important to look at the physical parts, the intellectual parts, and
how they shape the poem. The author John Donne has written many poems that could be
interpreted in many ways, and are analyzed by many people in the United States and around the
world. John Donne s The Flea is a good example of a poem that can be analyzed for its physical
and intellectual parts, and how they work together to make the poem what it is because it is
descriptive, and can be interpreted in many ways. First, it is important to look at the physical
parts of a poem. Donne s The Flea is comprised of three stanzas, and twenty seven lines total. The
poem talks about a lover and a beloved, and how the love that the lover feels is requited by the
beloved. This poem differs from sonnets in the way that the love in a sonnetis unrequited, but the
love in this poem is requited, as was talked about in class. In the first stanza, there are nine lines,
and each line rhymes with the line after it. For example, line three rhymes with line four at the end
with the words thee and be. This continues for the rest of the stanza the last three lines of the stanza
in which all three rhymewith the words woo, two, and do. This rhyme scheme is also shown
throughout the rest of the poem. In each stanza, the last three line are indented to show that they

Shawshank Redemption
In the film The Shawshank Redemption by Frank Darabont, it informs us about the hardships in the
prison of Shawshank and hopes to achieve freedom. The characters in Shawshank Redemption
present a variety of social issues. Throughout Andy and Red s sentence in prison, issues of identity,
motivation, and anxiety are brought about within the film. Darabont shows us the affects of prison
life during and after a prisoner s sentence in prison. Shawshank Redemption portrays these social
issues through the movies s theme of finding freedom.
The idea freedom is presented in the scene earlier in the film, when one of the prisoners ask Andy

As the years pass by, Andy develops a respect from his inmates and some of the guards by using
his banking skills and his education. By assisting the warden, Samuel Norton, with his financial
endeavors and trying to get a new library for Shawshank, Andy is able to slowly gain favor with
the prison s authority. However, by helping the warden embezzle money, Andy does not realize
that this is reducing his chances of ever leaving Shawshank because the warden does not want to
get caught with his crimes. Andy is taken advantage of and placed in solitary confinement,
which further pushes him to find freedom that he secretly has been planning all along. One
morning, Andy s cell is empty and the warden finds an escape route that Andy dug for twenty
years with a rock hammer hidden in his bible. In the end, Andy exposes the warden and moves to
Mexico where Red will meet him when his time in prison is complete. Hope is what Andy was
fueled by and is what gave both Red and Andy willpower to survive and seek for freedom.
In the movie Shawshank Redemption, social issues are evident and are portrayed through different
characters that are dealing with their individual desire for hope and freedom, each having a
different outlook on life. As the main character, Andy Dufresne has a goal of finding his own
identity within the prison of Shawshank by taking on different responsibilities and roles. Becoming
a prison librarian, a financial advisor, and an educator, Andy begins to

  • 2. Relationship Between Rising Us Unemployment and the... Is there a relationship between rising US unemployment and the rise of the Canadian dollar? Canada s financial stability depends on the health of America s economy, as international trade accounts for 45% of Canada s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 79% of exports are to the United States. Canadian and American unemployment rates are positively correlated for that reason, as exemplified in early 2009. Canada s unemployment rate quickly steepened as the United States rate gradually increased to about 10% (refer to graph 1 and 2). During this time, Canada s growing trade surplus became a deficit in only a few months (refer to graph 3). From this data, one can determine that Canada s exports decreased rapidly due to rising economic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although lower interest rates can improve domestic spending, it will discourage foreign investors because the return on their investments decreases. As of September 2011, the US interest rate is close to 0% and Canada s rate is at 1% as determined by the Bank of Canada. Low interest rates indicate that the US is in poor financial health. More countries will want to invest in Canada if the US is in a risky financial situation and additionally, provides low returns. The value of the Canadian dollar rises when demand increases. Due to America s increasing government debt and declining interest rates, Canada s economy is comparatively more stable. Canada s credit rating is currently higher than America s. A credit rating indicates the financial health of a country and how large the risk is for lenders to invest. Standard and Poor s, a credit rating agency, currently downgraded America s rating to AA+ from the highest score of AAA. The downgrade was a result of the U.S. s increasing debt from the recession. Canada s credit rating is still the highest at triple A because of the country s stability. Canada is more attractive to invest in, as there are solid returns on the interest rates and low risk for lenders. Increased demand in Canadian assets can result in a higher exchange rate. Investors want to put money into a country where they believe it is a safe haven. Although Canada can become more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Colleges use the report to determine what aid the student qualifies for in order to put together a financial aid package. President Obama has proposed to join with states to eliminate tuition and fees at community colleges nationwide. The U.S. Department of Educations National Center for Education Statistics shows that approximately seventy percent of undergraduates received some type of student aid during the 2011 12 academic year. • 4. The International Planned Parenthood Federation Progress in reducing maternal mortality has been slow and uneven, including in Latin America, where 23,000 women die each year from preventable causes. Citation (research) The International Planned Parenthood Federation helps address this concerns; this organization is located in 170 countries. This paper will specifically focus on the globalizationissues within five Latin states as well as the economic plans within the IPPF overall. The International Planned Parenthood Federationcan benefit from economic globalization, however, it really depends on the global market and government monitoring specifically within the Latin states. This includes expenses, exchange loss, transparency and restricted funding. It is of my opinion that the International Planned Parenthood indeed does benefit from economic globalization within certain limitations. I think it is important to first understand what the International Planned Parenthood Federation does and why its existence is essential in this world. The International Planned Parenthood Federation is a global service provider and a leading advantage of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organizations working with and for communities and individuals. IPPF works towards the world where women, men and young people everywhere have control over their own bodies, and therefore their destinies. The world where they are free to choose parenthood or not; free to decide how many ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The dictionary s definition is very basic, but in reality we need a lot more influential people in this world. In these past 30 years, there has been one person that s been extraordinarily influential. He goes by the name Eldrick Tont Woods. For scholars in grades 5 12, the TGR Learning Labs provide hands on experiences in science, technology, engineering and math, coupled with college preparation workshops to create a unique environment focused on college and careers. This is some of the ways the Tiger Woods Foundation works. Tiger has spent his own money on creating this foundation, instead of spending the money on something he would want(vacation, car, ect). The most obvious difference is the abandonment of realism and trying to portray the scenes truthfully. In the first painting, The Liffey Swim, Yeats evidently tries to be precise and accurate and to depict the scene truthfully. Yeats, in his early works, adopted Sickett s use of short thick strokes of paint and his manner of correlating colour 2. The colours he used are very neutral, mostly browns, dark blues, muddy reds, and dull yellows, with a contrasting light blue sky which brightens the painting. His use of warm and cold colours creates unity and variety. His use of warm earthy colours in the foreground creates unity. However, the contrast between the warm earthy colours in the foreground and the cool blue colours in the background create variety. • 17. Children Are An Important Part Of The Continuation Of... Children are an important part of the continuation of humanity, both as a species and culturally. However, there are few references, outside of the instances where laws in relation to orphans or widows or introduced, that discuss children in the Old Testament. There are times where the birth of a child is mentioned, as is the case when Eve bore Cain in Genesis 4.1. However, there is no mention of his childhood. Rather, the story continues when he is an adult farmer. The New Testament includes references to children other than as a reference to genealogy or to celebrate a birth. These are very important to understanding the shift in tone from the previous books of the Bible. In Matthew 18, the disciples ask Jesuswho the greatest in the kingdom of heaven will be (18.1). He calls a child from among them before answering in the following verse. Before examining the answer, it is work noting that children are present. It is easy to forget when reading through the previous books that there are children, whether they are the patriarch s, a villager s, or a servant s, that could be present in many of the scenes depicted. They are not mentioned because their presence is unimportant to that particular tale. However, here they are important. So important, that Jesus feels the need to bring one to him. It is also important to note that the text only says that [h]e called a child (4.2). This child is not identified as male or female, the fact is irrelevant to this particular story. ... Classic movie monsters tend to fade in and out of popularity as audiences grow bored and move on to fresher concepts. But there is one that has risen up and does not seem to slow down: zombies. Zombies have gone from being a small subgenre of horror film to a staple of popular culture across various media. This paper will explore the rise of zombies in popular culture and why it continues to remain relevant. Origins When picturing a zombie the image of a undead person looking for its next human meal comes to mind. While this is the foundation of what the contemporary belief of a zombie is, the actual origin has a far deeper and darker history than what is portrayed today. In the 17th century, Haiti; at the time known as Saint Domingue, was colonized by France. Slaves were brought in from Africa to work on the sugar plantations. These slaves were subject to such brutal and horrible conditions that many of them died after a few years of service at a rate two to three times higher than any other type of plantation (Berlin 21). A belief rose among the slaves that if they died, they would return to la guinГ©e (Africa) and be free but there was a catch. If they committed suicide; as many did, they would not be allowed to return to la guinГ©e and instead would spend eternity at the plantation as an undead slave (Mariani). A person should be considered an adult when they mature. Standing on their own is a big factor in being an adult because that s when u are able to support yourself and not depend on parents financially and emotionally. • 34. Gertrude And Ophelia And Hamlet Character Analysis Imagine being told that you are loved, and then are treated like you are worth nothing. This is a reality for the women in Hamlet written by William Shakespeare; Gertrude and Ophelia. Women in the 1600s were seen as objects with no value and were only there for the convenience of the male in their life. Gertrudeand Ophelia are the only two female characters in the play, and there are many males in the play that treat them with disrespect. Hamletis the big offender of these two women in the play. The relationship between Ophelia and Hamlet is confusing because it goes back and forth, where Hamlet loves Ophelia, to where he never loved her, disrespecting her beyond belief. Gertrude, Hamlet s mother, is married to Claudius, King Hamlet s brother, and this frustrates Hamlet. Hamlet lashes out at Gertrude for this marriage, being mistreated by her own son. In Hamlet, both main characters are portrayed as objects with little to no significance and are treated with no respect by their male counterparts. Ophelia, Hamlet s lustful partner, is shown the most disrespect throughout the play. Ophelia s whole life is centered around her father, and the play allows Ophelia no mind of her own; instead it has her minding her father s precepts (Johnson 111). This is supported by the text when she says, I do not know, my lord, what I should think (1.3.113). She just tries to please her father. Ophelia admits to Polonius that she has a relationship with Hamlet and he exclaims, In few, Ophelia,/ Do not believe his vows (1.3.135 136). He wants her to have nothing to do with Hamlet and she simply obeys. One things is clear to her auditors, however: whatever she is saying, it relates to her father (Johnson 112). This is one of many mistreatments she gets by men in the play. Hamlet and Ophelia are having a lustful relationship where the lovebetween them is not mutual, where Ophelia loves him, but Hamlet does not reciprocate. In the beginning of the play, Ophelia receives a letter from Hamlet which says, Doubt thou the stars are fire,/ Doubt that the sun doth move,/ Doubt truth to be a liar,/ But never doubt I love./ O dear Ophelia, I am ill at these numbers. Racial Zoning Research Paper Distinguished in chapters three and four of The Color of Law, racial zoning is a way for organizations to manipulate and control what neighborhoods African Americans and other ethnic minority groups reside in. Due to this, many of African Americans viewed racial zoning as a serious threat to their well being in the United States. With the help of Jim Crow laws, exclusionary zoning, and the On Your Own Home campaign, banks and real estate agents had provoked economic discrimination towards various ethnic minority groups. Furthermore, through the concepts of dysfunctionalism, social inequality, latent functionalism, and Eurocentrism as seen in The Real World, racial zoning has negatively affected African Americans from breaking out of what the world considers them to be. • 44. The Association Between Primary And Secondary Psychopathy... This study used a correlation design to investigate the association between primary and secondary psychopathy and cognitive empathy. 452 first year psychology students completed Levenson, Kiehl and Fitzpatrick s (1995) Levenson self report Psychopathy scale (LSRP) and Baron Cohen, Wheelwright, Hill, Raste and Plumb s (2001) Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET). A significant negative correlation was found between primary psychopathyand empathy while the correlation for secondary psychopathy and empathy was insignificant. From this it can be concluded that primary psychopaths are worse at empathising than secondary psychopaths. Association between Primary and Secondary Psychopathy and Cognitive Empathy Psychopathy is a disorder which can be split into two subtypes, primary and secondary. Primary psychopathy is typified by callous, manipulative, selfish and untruthful behaviour (Karpman, 1948, as cited in Levenson, Kiehl Fitzpatrick, 1995). Secondary psychopathy is associated with anxiety, introversion, low self esteem and moodiness (Blackburn Fawcett, 1999 as cited by Ali Chamorro Premuzic, 2010). Cognitive empathy is described as the being able to understand and infer emotions of others (Joliffee Farrington, 2004 as cited by Ali Chamorro Premuzic). A Keogh plan differs from IRAs and 401(k) s in that they are designed for self employed professionals, typically small business owners. Full time employees of a small business must be included in the plan if they have worked for the company for at least three years. (3) As with the other retirement plans mentioned, one cannot take money out of a Keogh until the age of 59 ВЅ years without penalty. Keogh plans also allow individuals to put their funds into the plan on a tax free basis, with the individual paying taxes upon withdrawal. Small business owners can set their own eligibility requirements for employees to meet in order to take part in a Keogh. For example the employer can require employees to be full time, to meet a certain age requirement (cannot exceed 21 however), and to have worked for the company for a set amount of time. (3) Keogh plans are attractive to small business owners because the funds put into the plan are allowed to grow tax free, however owners who invest in a Keogh plan need to weigh the costs with the benefits in order to gauge if a Keogh makes economical sense.
