Abstract
Equality is integral since it ensures workers are recognized for their input rather than being part of a majority group in the workplace setting. Although gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and nationality are aspects that propagate discrimination, the implementation of affirmative action and related policies promote equal opportunities for all. The fight for gender equality has prompted many scholars to explore national and international dynamics pertaining to the subject. This research addresses the question why do female employees who have similar credentials earn relatively lower wages than their male counterparts? The current study strives to reveal different components that contribute to the notable pay gap. Different data based on qualitative, and quantitative research is used to examine factors contributing to the pay gap, exploring effective solutions to the predicament, and determining the feasibility of current stratagems. Principally, the current study is based on survey findings.

Chapter 1 - Introduction
In the contemporary setting, researchers have determined that payment inequality is still a looming problem facing female workers. Scholars argue to what extent, but in doing so, they are missing the idea that such a problem should be non-existent in the current age (Amanatullah & Morris, 2010). The emphasis should be on the fact that female workers are entitled to equal compensation as their male counterparts (Labaton, 2014). The far-reaching ramification of the pay disparity has prompted researchers to explore the issue in depth (McElhaney & Smith, 2017). Universal gender gap records suggest that it will take about eight years for effective harmonization of remuneration to occur (Bekhouche et al., 2014). In the study conducted by Bekhouche et al., (2014), over a hundred countries were surveyed, America was rated sixty-fifth in the list on issues concerning gender payment inequality. This report examines the pay gap between male and female college graduates working full time one year after graduation. It finds that in 2009, women earned only 82% of what their male peers earned on average. Even after accounting for factors like college major, occupation, hours worked, and economic sector, about one-third of the pay gap could not be explained, suggesting discrimination and other difficult to measure factors are still issues. The report also finds that the pay gap contributes to women being more likely than men to have high student loan debt burdens after graduation due to women earning less while having similar loan amounts. It recommends that both individual choices and government and employer policies are needed to help close the persistent pay gap.
Why gender Discrimination Is Crime……
1) Gender inequality, or gender discrimination, refers to unequal treatment and unfair rights between males and females based on gender roles.
2) Gender inequality affects populations, education, and the economy. Imbalances in birth rates between males and females can impact security and social order. Lower female education negatively impacts economic growth by lowering human capital.
3) Solutions to address gender inequality include promoting gender-sensitive schools and curricula, empowering women's participation in the economy, and changing outdated social conceptions about gender roles through education and progressive attitudes.

Women in the workplace
Gender inequality persists in the workplace as evidenced by unequal pay and barriers to promotions and career growth for women. Women face discrimination due to gender stereotypes that view men as superior workers. While more women are pursuing higher education and careers, they still earn only 77 cents for every dollar earned by men. Women also face discrimination related to pregnancy and family responsibilities. Efforts are needed to promote diversity and equality in the workplace.
