1. Be Creative!
2. Group Activity SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTION: What helps you to be creative?
3. “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” Mary Lou Cook
4. The Target of Life is a very helpful way to understand our individual and collective well-being.
5. When you’re centered in the heart of the Target of Life, you’re at your best and life seems brighter. You see clearly and therefore make optimal decisions. You feel peaceful, loving, energetic, and happy. You’re in a good position to handle just about anything. However, when things happen that go against our desires and expectations, it’s easy to get pulled off center.
6. We experience more fear and negativity. We say and do things we regret. The immune system weakens and our productivity declines. We lose touch with what’s really important to us. Unhealthy stress increases and our sensitivity toward others decreases. And the further away from the center we move, the worse it gets!
7. That’s why it’s so important to catch early signs of stress, and to use all of our creativity to stay as centered as possible. When we are centered in the heart on the Target of Life, difficulties still crop up, but we can handle them much more smoothly and effectively. The more centered we are, the greater our well-being, the wiser our choices, and the more effective we are in everything we do.
8. Creativity is the power to bring something new and useful into existence.
9. You are an enormously creative person! That creativity is always within you, and you must express it in order to experience the satisfaction and joy that is your birthright.
10. Terrorism, widespread public scandals, economic uncertainties, international conflicts, and a host of other problems have launched us into a turbulent, yet potential-filled 21st century. Has the full measure of our creativity ever been needed more?
11. A life brimming with creativity is no longer the luxury of a few; it’s the duty and privilege of all of us.
12. Group Activity SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTION: What are some factors that keep people from becoming more creative?
13. CAUTION! Roadblocks Ahead Roadblocks that typically prevent capable people from expressing their creativity more fully: Thinking “I’m not very creative.” Fear of criticism from others. “That’s not my job.” Stress, Laziness, Self-Criticism. “There’s only one right way.”
14. CAUTION! Roadblocks Ahead Wasting time on nonessentials. “You have to follow the rules.” Too much talk, too little doing. Fear of failure. Resistance to change. Limiting beliefs. Worrying about who gets credit. Lack of faith.
15. Though we express it in different ways and to varying degrees, creativity is a gift that has been given in abundance to each of us.
16. Continually remind yourself of this truth: You are a

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.
Stay informed, stay safe, and get your flu shot today!
Acute scrotum is a general term referring to an emergency condition affecting the contents or the wall of the scrotum.
There are a number of conditions that present acutely, predominantly with pain and/or swelling
A careful and detailed history and examination, and in some cases, investigations allow differentiation between these diagnoses. A prompt diagnosis is essential as the patient may require urgent surgical intervention
Testicular torsion refers to twisting of the spermatic cord, causing ischaemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion results from inadequate fixation of the testis to the tunica vaginalis producing ischemia from reduced arterial inflow and venous outflow obstruction.
The prevalence of testicular torsion in adult patients hospitalized with acute scrotal pain is approximately 25 to 50 percent

Lung Cancer: Artificial Intelligence, Synergetics, Complex System Analysis, S...Oleg Kshivets
RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.

2. CHARISMA “a gift of grace” A set of social skills that anyone can develop over time It’s the ability to communicate, influence others, and make an impression through: Skillful speech Effective listening Body language It’s that magical ability to make people stop, look, and listen
3. SIX BASIC SKILLS TO ACQUIRE CHARISMA EMOTIONAL EXPRESIVENESS – changes in facial expression and variation in the tone of voice when in conversation. It is the ability to start and carry on a conversation. EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY – ability to sense the feelings of others. It is knowing the subtle rules of everyday social interaction including being a good listener. EMOTIONAL CONTROL – the ability to disguise your feelings if they’re inappropriate to a certain situation. It is a type of social acting which shows adeptness to role playing.
4. SIX BASIC SKILLS TO ACQUIRE CHARISMA SOCIAL EXPRESSIVENESS – trying to initiate casual conversation with strangers in a group and improving one’s speech by avoiding long pauses, repetitions or incomplete thoughts. SOCIAL SENSITIVITY – observing people and using social clues to guess people’s jobs, marital status, interests to keep from being too inquisitive. And finding yourself in unfamiliar social environment, not hesitating to ask questions to keep from stumbling into awkward social situations. SOCIAL CONTROL – meeting as many different people of various ages and cultures as possible. Learning to think ahead which means thinking before speaking. It is also planning possible topics of conversation ahead of time.
5. WHO’S GOT IT? ORIGINALITY She knows what she had and plays it up. She starts by thinking about what it is that makes her most attractive, most appealing. WARMTH Charismatic people exude warmth by their touch and by communicating with their eyes, being attentive and listening to what is being said. Graciousness is a big part of being warm. COURAGE It is facing up to a challenge – a new job, a difficult love affair, or a tragedy in the family, when you’re scared and unsure. It is charisma that makes people face up to self-doubts, errors in judgment, reversals of fortune, and then rise above it all. PASSION Charismatic people are generally passionate about something and feels passion for life in general.
6. WHO’S GOT IT? GENEROSITY A charismatic woman possesses a generous nature. She’ll give the same smile of recognition to pauper and prince alike because she has an unlimited supply of them to give.
7. SENSUALITY It does not necessarily mean a lusciously perfect body or a pretty face. It should not be confused with sexuality, although sensual people often have plenty of sexiness. Being sensual doesn’t require youth or beauty but other people find them sensual because of their genuine enjoyment of living.
8. MYSTERY A mysterious woman has a fascination all her own. She will not give you every detail of her life. She has charisma and you will not only find her appealing, you will not forget her.
9. HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF: (LIVING ALIVE) Two types of people: Those who love themselves too much – you become either successful achievers or deranged egomaniacs. Those who love themselves so little – you either become ordinary, average people or receding, unassertive lovers. If you want to win in the game of life, better start loving yourself more. Love yourself enough to get whatever you want and deserve in life.
10. THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO Never criticize yourself– you are your own worst critic. You tell yourself that you are not good enough, not good-looking enough, not brilliant enough, etc. This magnifies in your subconscious mind all your negative qualities and undesirable attributes. Being self-critical keeps you away from success; instead, constantly work at improving yourself. Never undersell yourself– most people give away things about themselves that are better kept secret. You don’t need to broadcast to the world your shortcomings, diseases or insecurities. Negating compliments is another from underselling yourself. When someone praises you for whatever reason, don’t negate it; simply smile and graciously say, “Thank You!” Never belittle yourself– people often belittle themselves and their station in life. They say, “I am just a janitor, a farmer, a waiter, a poor whatever.” They dismiss what accomplishments they have achieved. When you belittle yourself, people give you less than what you deserve. Remember, you are gem. Dazzle! Sparkle!
11. THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO Never put yourself down – just as there are people who find abnormal pleasure in putting other people down, there are also those who habitually put themselves down. Never put yourself down for whatever reason. Realize that in life, you are number one and you should always be your best friend, your best motivator, and your own top inspiration. Don’t practice false humility – when something good about you gets noticed, don’t try to be a saint by dismissing it as nothing. False humility will get you nowhere and won’t help you up the ladder of success. It is good to blow your trumpet once in a while; a little self-advertising goes a long way. It creates a positive image of you in the minds of others and adds to your own self-esteem.
12. THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO Never think that you know it all – people who think they know it all should think again. There will always be some new lessons to learn even from those seemingly inferior to you, even a little child. People who close their minds to new ideas and concepts doom themselves to halt and old age. The best way to become an old dog is not to learn new tricks! Never lose hope – no matter how low you feel, never ever lose hope. Life, as they say, is an ever-turning wheel; sometimes you are up, sometimes you are down. Bear in mind that the wheel keeps turning and that sometime soon all your failures and disappointments will be eased by better days, it is your personal obligation to perk yourself up when you are down. Pin your hopes on your dreams and some great power higher than you.
13. HEALTHY THINGS TO DO ONCE IN A WHILE Drop your defenses – through the years we develop a heavy armor that we wear daily which becomes part of our psycho-emotional baggage. We find these defenses useful because they protect us from getting hurt or debased. You say, “it’s beyond me; it’s beneath me!” For once in your life, drop some of society’s restricting laws and “don’ts”, hang loose and let your own brighter world and new, fun freer you! Forget your ego – in Buddhism and most other religious philosophies, reaching your core being of pure, ego-less essence brings you to a consciousness so free and blissful. Through medication and conscious erasing of your social conditioning, prejudices and selfish armoring, you can reach the tranquil enlightenment of Nirvana. When you think too highly of yourself, you process life through filters that make the journey heavy and less fun. Once in a while, drop your ego and see what surprises life can bring. Forget your accomplishment and family history – most people say, “I am a lawyer, a physician, a principal, a doctor of philosophy, etc., and I am not supposed to act this way.” Minimize your feelings of pomposity and self-importance. You’ll have more fun and minimize disappointments and bitterness in life.
14. HEALTHY THINGS TO DO ONCE IN A WHILE How do you see your life There are two ways of looking life: either you see it as a miracle or you look at it as a misfortune. Your perception and attitudes determine the kind of life you live. Maintain a positive attitude at all times, and embrace and be grateful for whatever life brings. Process your experiences with an open mind and catch the important life lessons they teach. There are two ways to navigate through life: either you do it powerless or sail through it highly empowered. Much of what life brings depends on your decisions, and even if you have made some real bad decisions, you could still weave beauty and creativity into it to make it wondrous and magical. Realized that the power in your life lies in you hands. We are all in the same boat in search of happiness and our individual destinies. What is of utmost importance is that we enjoy the ride. Life would be more amazing if we perceived it as a beautiful miracle unfolding.
15. HOW TO STAY YOUNG, HAPPY AND HEALTHY Introduction: (Life is short, don’t make it shorter) Biologists reckon our bodies could live up to 120 years. We all know about smoking, exercise, diet, etc., but here are some longevity-boosters: 69 – males, 72 – females, according to the latest survey.
16. HOW TO STAY YOUNG, HAPPY AND HEALTHY ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS (5 YRS) Research following 1 200 pensioners for 5 years found those who were most curious had a 30% better chance of living beyond this point. Higher curiosity levels may mean better adaptation to changes, challenges and stress. DON’T MAKE MOBILE PHONE CALLS IN THE CARS (1-2 YRS) Everyday, people babbling on mobiles while driving crash. Each one-minute call shaves an average of 45 seconds of your life. THINK POSITIVE (2 YRS) A study of AIDS patient found those with pessimistic outlook died on average two years before more positive subjects.
17. HOW TO STAY YOUNG, HAPPY AND HEALTHY GO TO CHURCH TWICE A WEEK (7-14 YRS) An American study reported that, white people attending religious services more than once a week lived an average of 7 yrs longer than those who didn’t. Among black people, the figure was 14 yrs. Churchgoers have lower rates of smoking and drinking and strong social ties. BE ECCENTRIC (5-10 YRS) A Scottish neuropsychologist studying 1 000 eccentrics found they live longer than normal people. One reason: they are encumbered by the usual worries the rest of us fret over. (Problems will die a natural death)
18. HOW TO STAY YOUNG, HAPPY AND HEALTHY TO STAY YOUNG, HAPPY AND HEALTHY – HAVE AN ORGASM EVERYDAY! O – Orange Juice R – Ripe Fruits G – Grilled Fish A – All Wheat Bread S – Salt Free Foods M – Milk
19. SECRETS OF SHARING: MANAGEMENT OF LOVE L – Live with: a. Wisdom – sum total of good judgment -- RTD – Right Thing to Do or Do the Right Thing b. Prudence – Early warning device; watch out for a change. It is the skill and good judgment in the use of resources. c. Fortitude – “Lakas” – ability to pursue with determination and strength of temperance.
20.
