DNS is a system that translates domain names to IP addresses so that users can access websites through names like "rosehosting.com" instead of raw IP addresses like "209.135.140.30". DHCP automatically assigns IP addresses to devices on a network to simplify configuration compared to manually setting static addresses. It works through a four step process where devices broadcast requests, servers respond with offers, devices request an address, and servers acknowledge with the assigned address.
DHCP stands for dynamic host configuration protocol. What it does is dynamically assign network settings from a server. In other words, instead of having to configure the parameters related to how your computer communicates with a network, it happens automatically.
Assigning an IP address dynamically is the most basic piece but there is a lot more to DHCP. This includes the netmask, host name, domain name, gateway and name servers. In addition, DHCP can supply other information such as a time server.
Many people are anti-DHCP, because they see it as a way that an ISP offers you an IP address that changes. This, of course, makes it difficult to advertise a server. On the other hand, DHCP can save you a lot of ongoing configuration work within your company or organization.

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

The world is being changed fundamentally by AI and we are constantly faced with newspaper headlines about its harmful effects. However, there is also the potential to both ameliorate theses harms and use the new abilities of AI to transform society for the good. Can you make the difference?
2. DNS
DNS is an acronym of Domain Name System. As the name
suggests, DNS is a naming system that gives a name to any
computer or service connected to a network. DNS is utterly
important and everyone should use it. Without it, we’d
have to visit websites through their IP addresses, rather
than their domain. So, for example, if you wanted to visit
our website through it’s IP address, you’d have to go to
209.135.140.30. But with DNS, you can go to
rosehosting.com . It’s easier to remember and it’s more
user-friendly. That’s why people consider DNS “the phone
book of the Internet”. Nobody wants to remember an IP,
but everyone can and does remember a domain name.
3. Domain Name System (DNS)
DNS can be used to:
Resolve host names to IP addresses
Resolve IP addresses to host names
Locate mail servers during email delivery
4. How Internet DNS Names Are

9. DHCP
In IP environment, before a computer can
communicate to another one, they need to have
their own IP addresses.
There are two ways of configuring an IP address on a
device:
Static: Statically assign an IP address. This means we
manually type an IP address for this computer
Dynamic Use a protocol so that the computer can obtain
its IP address automatically.
10. How does DHCP work?
Lease Generation Process
DORA Process

Four step Process
11. Benefits of Using DHCP
DHCP reduces the complexity and amount of administrative
work by using automatic IP configuration
Automatic IP Configuration Manual IP Configuration
IP addresses are supplied
automatically
IP addresses are entered manually
Correct configuration information
is ensured
IP address could be entered
incorrectly
Client configuration is updated

problems is eliminated
Frequent computer moves

12. How DHCP Lease Generation Works
DHCP Server2
DHCP Server1 DHCP Client
1. DHCP client broadcasts a DHCPDISCOVER packet
2. DHCP servers broadcast a DHCPOFFER packet
3. DHCP client broadcasts a DHCPREQUEST packet
4. DHCP Server1 broadcasts a DHCPACK packet
13. DHCP Lease Renewal Process
By default, lease period is limited to 8 days.
Clients attempt to renew its lease as 50% of the lease
duration has expired.
15. Missing DHCP Server
If the client cannot find a DHCP server then It
may auto assign an IP address from a reserved
range 169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255 or simply
have an IP address of 0.0.0.0.
16. DHCP Commands
ipconfig ./all -This command will show IP and DNS
settings
ipconfig ./release -This command will release the IP
address from DHCP
ipconfig ./renew -This command will renew the IP
address using DHCP
