This is an assignment for my Technology class to learn how to use PP and SlideShare. The presentation gives eight pointers on making a PowerPoint presentation interesting.

Presentation Don’t: Do:
Bullets Scatter. Left-justify column.
Background Use busy background with
text.
Watch the colors and the
text.
Contrast and Color Use colors for text that are
hard to see.
Use light on dark, and dark
on light.
Graphics Use too many and unclear. Single graphics.
Rule of Four Make a list. List in groups of four.
Proximity Make text unrelated to pic. Locate text by graphic.
Fonts Use a lot of words and
fonts.
Keep it simple and to the
point.
Perceptual Differences Mix colors, texts, and pics. Relate colors and text.

15. Fonts
When creating a PowerPoint it
can be confusing when there is
a lot of words on a page. Do
Not use all caps. It is also
hard to read when the Font is
complicated. Avoid busy
background designs. I have
been in classes and tried to
take notes off of PowerPoint
presentations, but miss
information because the
speaker goes too fast and
there is too much detail on
the slide. Keep the
background light and the
text dark to make a good
contrast. It is also acceptable
to have a dark background
and light text. The eyes are
