What was true more than 2,000 years ago is just as true today. We live in a world where "business as usual" is change. New initiatives, project-based working, technology improvements, staying ahead of the competition – these things come together to drive ongoing changes to the way we work.
Whether you're considering a small change to one or two processes, or a system wide change to an organization, it's common to feel uneasy and intimidated by the scale of the challenge.

Shepherding change: leading your DevOps transformationMike McGarr
So you have read the Phoenix Project, attended DevOps Days or a local meetup and you are ready to implement your own DevOps transformation. Congratulations! Now how do you get started? What do you do? Who do you pull in to help you? How is this going to work? How long will it take? Who needs to buy-in/approve? These are all the daunting questions you are left answering,...as an agent of change. As you embark on your DevOps transformation, you will come to find the toughest part is not learning Chef, but rather...the people in your organization
Effective application of change management increases the success rate of organizational changes to as high as 96%. In today’s fast-paced world, every organization can benefit from a better way to manage change.
It is important that the Leadership kicks off this workshop with a short welcome and description of the issue that has to be addressed.
The tone you set at the outset will have a huge impact on how well the Change Team works together during the process and on the results they go on to achieve. Essentially this first workshop is all about hearts and minds and involving everyone’s creativity in the change process. It is about bringing the change process to life and really inspiring people. And when the Change Team members are truly inspired it is much easier for them to inspire all the others who will be involved in the changes they go on to drive.
At the heart of this workshop is the need to ensure everyone understands the need for change and helps to create a shared and really inspiring vision of just how good things can become.
Once the vision is in place you will need to help the team come up with a range of appropriate change priorities. Some quick and easy to achieve and others more ambitious. Your core aim is to help the team create a mix of actions that makes it feel effective from the start. So factoring in some quick wins is vital. Achieving these makes such a difference to the morale, motivation and creativity of the team and ultimately to the success of the whole change.
Central to this workshop is the need to identify a range of options for change and to assess their potential impact, to determine the top change priorities and to create an initial Project Plan to present to the Leadership.
Case study on a transformation of a 100 person department.
What I did (that made the difference):
1. Uncover what’s really going on
2. Share observations in a loving and caring way
3. Help people choose their own reality and destiny
Leading and Managing Through the Design of EnvironmentsMichael Hamman
These slides are from a webinar which George Schlitz and I conducted in February 2013. In this presentation, we talked about 'environment design' as a management practice for catalyzing the capacity for organizational agility.
Environment design constitutes a set of very practical management practices which reflect, nevertheless, a recognition of that social systems (i.e. organizations and companies) are inherently complex and therefore call for an entirely new paradigm for management.
My presentation for a Leading Change module in an executive education program that has three modules spread over three months. This presentation is made during the first module and the participants are broken into teams to work on their own live projects within their company.
This 2013 presentation at the Rocky Mountain Quality Conference examines John Kotter's work on change management in the context of major Lean Six Sigma initiatives. "See-feel-change" is a more powerful motivator than "analyze-think-change."
SG50KITAx is a program that amalgamates passionate and energetic young Singaporeans. Together we play a roll in Singapore's growth within the next 50 years. The 4-month program, aims to curatively project and develop long term actionable programs (and processes) addressing future needs (which as we know often are already in existence, today) along identified themes ...

Change happens. In today’s global world, change happens faster and more frequently than ever and consequently that means projects experience constant change.
While rapid response and flexibility are critical to competitive response, stakeholders making that change do not always move at the same speed. Understanding the change process from a behavioral perspective we and others experience will ease the facilitation of that change.
Building Smarter Organizations - Employee Experience - Toronto - Boye - Jan 2...Gordon Vala-Webb
In a VUCA world, "old" organizations (focused on optimizing their existing operations with a focus on the past) are unable to adapt quickly enough. They are like zombies.
So, how to lead your zombie organization back to life?
