Project Summary
Current population and education trends are leaving Russia no chance to modernize its
economy due to the forthcoming shortage of highly effective workforce and even more
important lack of the middle management capable of applying modern leadership styles,
grooming other leaders and eventually developing into top executives.
Hard skills and knowledge are becoming obsolescent more and more rapidly. The importance of
soft competencies is growing even faster. Research of leading international consulting firms
identified the areas of improvement equally important for all employees irrespectively of their
age, gender and nationality.
The mission of LeaderStream is to help young people in Russia, other emerging economies and
all over the world to develop their interpersonal capacity and leadership traits up to the needs
of the modern, innovative business.
LeaderStream is helping companies to recruit young talent faster and more accurately. Young
and rapidly growing companies in technology sector will benefit from LeaderStream most as
they need ‘modernized’ employees and managers more than traditional sectors of economy.
LeaderStream will provide them rigorous consulting, service and outsourcing support to make
them on par with or even faster than hiring and T&D machines of large multinational
corporations.
LeaderStrerem is emerging from already existing core - small but high quality community of
Youth International Economic Forum Participants and experts. They are people who:
• Achieved proven success in business, academia, political or social tenure
• Have global mindset
• Are socially aware and ready to act for the betterment of mankind and environment
• Are Russians, Russian repatriates or expatriates somehow related to or interested in

LeaderStream as development tool is focusing at traits and competencies which all young
people will need to succeed in rapidly changing environment:

• Self learning capacity
• Team work ability
• Willingness to take initiative
• Ability to assume responsibility
• Readiness to assume leadership role
Special leadership and entrepreneurship development programs will help with early stage
identification of potential leaders and encourage entrepreneurship.
LeaderStream will be gradually building a combination of exercises and environments which
are designed to assess the current level of participants’ potential and to develop them further.
They also initiate and support motivation to change:
2. • Competency builder – interactive video exercise in which participants observe and
follow role models’ patterns of behavior, take behavioral tests and exercises, receive
feedback and monitor own progress,
• Market value estimator – interactive and fun exercise that shows how market value of
participant changes following different education, training, occupation and career
choices
• Project contest – an environment to assess and develop teamwork and interpersonal
skills in collaboration with other participants – project team members, project experts
and investors/sponsors at the jury
• Simulated apprenticeships will be designed as a commercial tool to recognize and
develop corporate client specific successful employees’ patterns of behavior.
• Externships and internships aggregator including virtual externships (real job
assignments performed off site)
• Communities of likeminded individuals where they share experiences, support each
other and benchmark their progress
We will be offering to high growth potential companies an open source intellectual HR
platform to rapidly build and seamlessly support their expanding recruitment and T&D needs.
Young individuals with highest score will be invited to add their well structured English
language video interviews to a proprietary database accessible only by the employers of choice
– companies, which are good to work in.
Based on our past experience we are targeting Russians, Russian repatriates or expatriates
somehow related to or interested in Russia. Russia is a focal point for our effort in the
beginning because it will suffer most in the world from the generation bomb and the skills
gap combined effect unless immediate actions are taken. However LeaderStream will start as
an English language resource with core participants from more than 30 countries.
Our team has unique combination of international executive search, social media, online
community, event management and leadership development experience as well as high skills in
web design and software development. To start with we have a core of Youth Forum
participants, a library of role model video interviews with entrepreneurs and top executives –
the leaders who are good to work with (www.good2work.com and www.good2work.ru) – and
a reliable software platform.
We see the potential of LeaderStream in other emerging markets and will use our experience in
organizing international young leaders’ events (Youth International Economic Forum,
Innovation Convention, Changellenge case competition, etc.) to attract participants from all
over the globe. However, to achieve marketing and sales success internationally we will need
international partner in our team and/or a strategic investor/alliance.
Our aspiration is to have 200 thousands subscribers and 20-25 thousands high quality candidate
video interviews by the end of 2014.
Our target is to be ready for launch by the end of 2011.
