ABOUT THE AUTHOR
         A noted philanthropist, Stephen F. Been serves as the
          CEO of Legacy Communities LLC in Atlanta. Among
          the organizations that he is proud to support is
          Leadership DeKalb which, since 1986, has worked to
          develop future leaders and inform them about the
          most significant issues they are likely to face in their
          region.
         Leadership DeKalb has graduated a wide range of
          individuals who serve as corporate executives,
          teachers, judges, and leaders of charitable
          organizations.
         Through the support of donors such as Stephen F.
          Been, Leadership DeKalb continues to seek out a
          diverse group of potential local leaders for its intensive
          10-month training course.
RECENT LEADERSHIP DEKALB SUCCESSES

 In 2012, the organization celebrated its most recent class, a cadre of 52
  men and women whose graduation ceremony took place at historic
  Stone Mountain.
 They join a group of more than 1,000 Leadership DeKalb alumni.
 Participants have praised the program for its wealth of networking and
  personal and professional growth opportunities, and for preparing them
  to take on major public responsibilities in DeKalb County.

Leadership de kalb makes connections, grows leaders

  • 2. ABOUT THE AUTHOR  A noted philanthropist, Stephen F. Been serves as the CEO of Legacy Communities LLC in Atlanta. Among the organizations that he is proud to support is Leadership DeKalb which, since 1986, has worked to develop future leaders and inform them about the most significant issues they are likely to face in their region.  Leadership DeKalb has graduated a wide range of individuals who serve as corporate executives, teachers, judges, and leaders of charitable organizations.  Through the support of donors such as Stephen F. Been, Leadership DeKalb continues to seek out a diverse group of potential local leaders for its intensive 10-month training course.
  • 3. RECENT LEADERSHIP DEKALB SUCCESSES  In 2012, the organization celebrated its most recent class, a cadre of 52 men and women whose graduation ceremony took place at historic Stone Mountain.  They join a group of more than 1,000 Leadership DeKalb alumni.  Participants have praised the program for its wealth of networking and personal and professional growth opportunities, and for preparing them to take on major public responsibilities in DeKalb County.
