2. Introduction
• In 2015, Rob Stahura and a team of colleagues began to
build a nationwide mortgage firm. Prior to beginning
this venture, he led a company that marketed residential
solar panels online and through in-home presentation.
An involved father, Rob Stahura enjoys taking part in his
children’s activities. He assisted his son in obtaining his
Eagle Scout status with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
As one of the nation’s largest and most well known
youth-development organizations, the BSA helps young
people develop character, encourages them to pursue
personal fitness, and trains them to be responsible
individuals.
3. Eagle Scouts
• Established more than a century ago, the BSA combines
educational activities and values with fun experiences.
Baylor University recently conducted an independent
research study and found that Eagle Scouts are more
likely than non-Scouts to volunteer for organizations,
work with others to improve their neighborhood, and
have closer relationships with family and friends. They
also tend to network more with others, and donate
money to charitable groups. Arthur Eldred of New York
earned the first Eagle Scout Award in 1912. Since then,
more than two million young men have obtained the
highest-rank honor.
