Read the text very carefully.
Friends
Good friends have common interests and ideas, and probably similar tastes in
music, clothes and free-time activities. However the most important aspect of friendship,
according to students at North Westminster Community School interviewed by Imelda
Finnerty, is trust. Trust is what it is all about. A real friend is someone who is loyal and
helps you when things aren’t going well.
Rosie Kebdoen: “My good friends are Jane and Amas. I met Amas when I was 5 and Jane
when I was 13.”
Amas Khamon: “I met Rosie when I was waiting outside her house on the day she moved
in next door to me. I was bout to go and then she came out and we
started talking.”
Jane Muthoni: “Rosie and I come to school together and do everything together. We go
to the cinema. We talk about everything together. Apart from trust, it’s
all about love. Being able to communicate. If one of us has problems, we
all help each other.”
Kenneth Barry: “Sebastian is a friend. He helped me out when I had a problem. So we will
always be friends and have things to talk about together.”
James: “I think we all know the true meaning of friendship. No matter what happens,
wherever we go, whatever we do, we’ll always be friends and nothing can come
between us.”
Rosie: “We are like one big happy family.”
