Measuring/marking out and cutting my front and back sides
WHAT I DID and WHY...........MEASURING/MARKING OUT
Today, I went into the workshop. I started by looking at my folder containing all the
information on my lamp. I then went and got a metal ruler and a pencil and started
drawing the right side of my lamp on a piece of ply-wood. Then, I was ready to cut out
my drawing.
CUTTING
I thought that I would cut it out using a tenon saw, or a gent's saw. Instead, I got to use
a portable power jigsaw. I had to hold it from the top and the bottom (it is about the
size of an armadillo). It had the blade at the bottom moving up and down very fast
when I pressed the button, and I would press it down on my piece of wood. The piece of
wood was held down by two clamps ( on the bench). It was very hard to use the
machine because it is a bit heavy and it is hard to control as the blade moves very fast.
After I had cut the first side of the piece of wood, I had to un-clamp it and turn it
around so that I could cut all my sides off. When I finished cutting out the right side of
my lamp, I then moved on to the left side. Since it was almost the end of the period, I
only got to outline the shape of the side, and not cut it.
EMOTIONS
I think that today was hard ,
because we just came back from
the holidays and I already got
to handle a machine to cut my
project. This year is definitely
harder than last year, but I
think i'll enjoy it. I am on track
with my Gantt Chart and plan
of what I planned to do this day.

Cutting and filing/sanding my front and back sides
WHAT I DID and WHY>
CUTTING
Today, I went into the workshop again. I put on my apron and I started by taking out
my project. I installed the right side of my project on the bench with clamps, and I took
out the Portable Power jigsaw. I went to get some goggles and I started sawing out the
right side of my lamp. Using a machine to saw out each piece of the lamp is very hard,
because it is hard to control the portable power jigsaw, it goes quite fast. I just
continued sawing until I finished cutting out the other side of my lamp. I have the two
sides!
FILING/SANDING
Then, I filed the edges of the piece of wood and I also used the disc sander to sand out
the most bulging and sharp parts.
MEASURING/MAKING OUT
Then, I waited around for a little bit for the teacher. I looked at my folder to see what I
had to do next, and I found out that I had to mark out and cut out nine curving braces
for the inside of my lamp. Since it was the end of the period, I didn't get to find the
wood and start marking out. Instead, I put away my apron and started cleaning up.
COMMENTS EMOTION
I think that today was a bit like last lesson. I just got my things out and I used the
portable power jigsaw. I filed and sanded. I think today wasn't very hard because I
knew what was going on and I got things done. I think that I should improve on my
concentration.
CONNECTION TO PLAN I could have done more things during this period. I also
should improve on knowing what to do next and taking my own initiative instead of
waiting for the teacher all the time.
I should also have taken pictures of
today's work, which I didn't.

Today, we did not work for a very long time. Since
there was a presentation at school, we had only about 15 minutes for the lesson. I went
to get my project and I started to mark out the nine curved braces for the inside of my
lamp. I only marked out about 4.

Measuring and marking out, cutting, filing/sanding
my curved braces
WHAT I DID and WHY
MEASURING/MARKING OUT
Today, I started the lesson by putting on an apron. I then
took out my project and got the two pieces of pine -wood
boards. I had 4 curved braces marked out on one of
them. I needed nine, so I got a pencil and ruler and
started measuring and marking out the other 5 curved
braces. I also used a tri-square so that my lines would be

Instead of using the portable power jigsaw today, I used a braces with a pencil and metal
tenon saw and a pull saw. I have never used a pull saw rule
before, but it is basically like the tenon saw only that it helps you cut in places where a
tenon saw can't cut. After that I started using a smoothing plane.
FILING/SANDING
I used a smoothing plane after I had cut out the
unnecessary part of my curving braces pine board. A
smoothing plane is used to file out the rough parts,
however, it only goes in one direction and it files by
taking away the wood pieces.
COMMENTS EMOTIONS
I think that I did a lot today and I felt very good about it.
I marked out nine curved braces, I sawed out one side,
and I smoothed it out with a smoothing plane. However,
I think that I could have done a lot more by Illustration 9: Using a tenon saw

Cutting and smooth planing my curved braces
WHAT I DID
CUTTING
Today, I started out the lesson by getting out my
piece of wood and examining what to do next. I
had planned to cut out the curved braces,
however, i found out that the teacher was going
to do that, and I would have to smooth plane the
edges so that I could make the curved braces go
around the edge of the side of my project. I did a
bit of sawing though, with the tenon saw and the

SMOOTHING PLANE
I had to smooth plane some of the curved braces to an angle so that they would fit
against each other. Then, I had to number each curved brace so that I knew exactly
which one would go next.
COMMENTS - EMOTIONS
I think that I did a pretty good job today. I had
some problems with understanding how to
smooth plane on an angle, and I didn't do very
well on the first or second try, but I improved
which is good.

I think that Human Ingenuity is the most
appropriate AOI , and today, I think I was a risk-
taker because I kept trying to work the
smoothing plane, and I didn't give up.

Arranging and smooth planing my curved braces
WHAT I DID
ARRANGING
Today, I continued arranging the curving braces for my lamp. I arranged the numbers
and I used the pencil and the tri-square to draw the lines for where the curving braces
should be placed.
SMOOTH PLAINING
Then, I continued smooth plaining the curved braces that needed plaining and placed
them to their places. I also had a hard time smooth plaining the curved braces that
were on the most curved parts of the lamp.
COMMENTS - EMOTIONS
I think that today was a lot like the other classes. I arranged the curved braces and I
smoothed planed them. It takes a lot of work and I still have many curved braces to
make and arrange. It is quite hard to make the curved braces and make them exactly
how they need to be so that they fit well together and are sturdy. I made a few
mistakes today, which means I think I have to improve on my concentration and focus.
Also, I didn't take any pictures of my work today because it was exactly like the work
did last lesson.
PLAN I am still quite close to what I predicted in my planning stage. GANTT CHART

Arranging and smooth planing my curved braces
ARRANGING
Today was also like the other days. I started
by taking out my project and seeing how I
had to arrange the curved braces again.
Number 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 are perfect.
However number 7 and 8 aren't very good.
They're wonky and don't fit well with each
other.
SMOOTH PLANING
Smooth planing was hard today, at first. I
guess the blade was too far out. It kept
digging way too deep into the wood, and
thats what made the wood very wonky. The
teacher then changed it for me and it was
much easier to use.

I think that I'm not working very efficiently the support of my lamp
because I have been arranging and smooth
plaining for about three lessons. I still have a lot of curved braces to cut out and plane
and i don't know if I will be done with the project in time.

Arranging, measuring and marking out, cutting,
disc-sanding, smooth planing my curved braces
ARRANGING
Today, I started out like I recently always do, by
arranging out my curved braces. I took them out and
I realized that I only had two left. I needed to make
some more, so I asked the teacher and he told me to
mark and measure out the ones I needed.
MEASURING/MARKING OUT
He gave me some pine to mark out my curved braces Illustration 17: This is me arranging
in. I marked out three. I used the metal rule, my the curved braces at the beginning of
pencil and a tri-square to mark it out. It wasn't very class
hard because I already had a template of
another curved brace to use and outline for
the measuring an marking out of my new
curved braces.
CUTTING
After my measuring and marking out, I had
to use the tenon saw and the gents saw. I put
the piece of wood into the bench vice and I
cut out the curved braces. It took me about
10 minutes to cute the wood twice.
DISC SANDING
Later, i noticed that the ends of my curved
braces were very rough. So I decided to disc
sand them for a while. They turned out to be Illustration 18: Using the tenon saw to cut out

SMOOTH PLANING
I got out a smoothing plane and started smooth plaining the edge of number 8 first.
However, I ran out of time so I didn't get to finish smooth planing it.
COMMENTS
I think that I did a lot of work today. I got a lot done even though my gantt chart says
otherwise. I think that the hardest part was smooth planing the edges. It is really hard
to make it go straight. I guess it's just a matter of practice.

Arranging, smooth-planing and cutting my curved braces
ARRANGING
Today, I finished arranging! I finished my curving
braces! So, today I started the lesson by checking what
other curved braces need arranging. I found out that I
still had to make curved braces number 8, 9, 10 and 11.
SMOOTH PLANING
I smooth planed many edges today. I finished. However,
I made many mistakes. A lot of the edges were very
wonky and I had to smooth plane them again.
CUTTING
I used the tenon saw and the gents saw to cut the last Illustration 19: Arranging the

using the pull saw because it is light and easy to use.
COMMENTS
I am happy that I have finally finished
cutting out and smooth planing the curved
braces. I really spent a long time making
them however I am glad that I finished now.

Today, I started by arranging the curved braces in a straight line so that they were all
straight and in order of their numbers. I did this so that I could make them all the
same length (because some of them are longer than others). So I put them out in a
straight line and took a metal rule and a pencil and marked out how long they had to
be.
CUTTING
I then took a gents saw and started cutting each curved brace so that they would be
even. The cutting took me a long time and I didn't finish.
COMMENTS
I think that today went well. I didn't make any mistakes and I knew what I had to do.
I'm also very happy that I'm not smooth planing the curved braces anymore.

Cutting my curved braces
CUTTING
Today, I started by the lesson by taking
out the pieces of my project (curved
braces). Then, I arranged them out so
that they would be in their numbered
order. I then figured out which ones
needed to be cut. Also, what made
today very hectic, was that there was a
little bird in the DT Studio, and that
slowed things down for a bit.
COMMENTS
I think that I'm doing alright. I'm
almost finished cutting my curved
braces and after I cut them, I will be

CUTTING
Today, I kept cutting my curved braces. However, I'm not finished yet.
COMMENTS
I think I'm going at a very slow pace. According to my gantt chart, I should be finished
with my project right now. I still have a lot of work to do and if I don't move faster I will

Arranging and gluing my curved braces
ARRANGING
Today I started the class by arranging in order of
the numbers, my curved braces. I put them all out
and started installing them ready for gluing.
GLUING
I got out the PVA glue and took the the first three
curved braces and glued them together. Also, I
put two rubber bands on the top and bottom of the
glued curved braces so that when I was gluing the
other curved braces the previous ones stayed
together and dried.
COMMENTS

all my pieces (but not together) and I left them out to dry.

Gluing, Cutting and Disc-sanding the pieces for my
curved parts
GLUING
At first, I took out my (half glued) curved braces out and
I laid them out to see what I had to do. I took off the
rubber bands and made sure the curved braces stuck
together well without falling apart. I got the PVA glue out
and started sticking the curved braces all together.
However, I had some problems. The curved braces Illustration 27: Using the PVA glue
wouldn't stick together, they kept falling apart and I had to glue the rest of my curved
to hold them still for a very long time. braces together
CUTTING
While the curved braces where drying. I got out my not finished light support and I
took out a gents saw. I started cutting but I found out
that it was very hard to cut the light support
horizontally with a gents saw so I switched to a tenon
saw. It wasn't that easy at first (because the gents saw
cut was much thinner) but then it became easier and
faster.
DISC-SANDING
When I finished cutting, the edges and ends of the light
support were very wonky and weren't straight. So I
decided to disc-sand the ends for a little bit. I got some

18. goggles and went to the disc-sander. I turned it on and spent about 5 minutes (for both
ends) to disc-sand them. Now they are smooth and straight.
COMMENTS
I think I'm doing a good job. Today, I covered many
things and I was focused. I think I'm doing a good job
and I multi-tasked today. I was gluing the curved
braces while setting them down and cutting my light
support. Also, I think cutting the light support today
(instead of next lesson) was a good idea because then I
had something else to cover earlier.

Gluing and arranging some new curved braces
GLUING
Today I started out the lesson by taking out my
curved braces and seeing what yet had to be
done. I saw that only three more curved braces
(which were already stuck together) had to be
stuck together to the other (stuck together)
curved braces so that ALL the curved braces
were stuck together. I got some PVA glue and
started spreading it on top of the
curved braces. I then proceeded to
stick the curved braces all together and
I had to hold it so that it wouldn't move.
ARRANGING

to find out what I had to do next. I
found out that I needed to make some

19. agreed to cut out the board for me. I need five more curved braces, however these are
easier ones. They are already smooth planed.
COMMENTS
I think I didn't do so much work today, because I only glued my curved braces together
and arranged about what I had to do next. I am very happy though, because I will not
be needing to make a base support for my lamp! However, I still have to do a lot of
work in order to complete my project. I have to make the front and back and the lamp-
shade and then paint my project. I think I'm going at a slow pace, however, my project
is very hard.

My gantt chart tells me I should be done and also done with my evaluation by now.
However, I think I miscalculated with my gantt chart because I had no idea it would
take this long to make the curved braces. I seriously thought they would only take
about three periods to make! However, I am tying my best to work as fast as I can.

Disc-sanding, measuring/ marking out,cutting and
gluing
DISC-SANDING
Today, I started out the lesson by taking out my curved
braces and inspecting them. I figured out that the next
thing I had to do was disc-sand the sides and edges so
that they were all even. So, I told the teacher this and he
brought me to the disc-sander. I found out that since my
curved braces were all stuck together and was too big Illustration 33: Measuring out the

to use the whole edge of the disc-sander. I thought this
was a bit scary (because with smaller pieces it can fling
upwards and hit you in the face), but it went well and
now my curved braces are very smooth.
MEASURING/MARKING OUT
After I did that, I started measuring and marking out
the next (front) curved braces I had to do. I took out a
pencil and metal rule and marked out how long the
next five curved braces had to be. Also, these curved
braes are easier because they are already smooth

This wasn't very hard and it didn't take me a very long time.
Also, I'm glad I did this in this lesson, so that next lesson I
didn't have to do it.

20. I also glued (with PVA glue) one of the new curved braces to the number 2. I didn't
have enough time to glue in all the curved braces together, however, this wasn't very
hard because I have already done it before.
COMMENTS
I think I did a LOT of work today and I'm getting advanced on my project. I think it is
coming out nicely and I would really like to finish it soon. However, I still have a lot of
work to do.

Gluing, measuring/marking out
GLUING
Today, I started by getting out all my pieces and I put
them all out. I found out I had to glue all the new
curved braces together so I took out the PVA glue
and started gluing them. It was quite hard, because
at first they wouldn't stick together, and they kept
sliding off. However, I got them to stay in the end, I
had to use the wall for support, so it took quite a
while.
MEASURING/MARKING OUT
While the curved braces were drying, I decided to cut

plastic, so I asked the teacher if he could show me all
the colors of acrylic. There was blue, red, green, yellow and pink. I decided to use red
because I think it's more memphis and it matches the color theme I will use for
painting my actual lamp.
COMMENTS
I think for the double period today, I worked
pretty slow. I only managed to glue and
then measure and mark out. I think this is
because I really needed the teachers help
for the acrylic, and I had to wait around a
lot because of course, there were other
people that needed his help. However, in the
end, he showed me the colors and I chose

Cutting the inside curve
CUTTING
Today, all I did was cutting. I had to cut the sides off of my glued new curved braces.
Because they were too long and uneven, I had to cut them off vertically with a pull saw.
It was really hard because the glue was on the glued pieces and it was hard to cut
through that. I had to use a pull saw, which means that when I pulled, it would cut.
COMMENTS
It was really hard to cut the curved braces (all glued together) also because I couldn't
put them in the vice, I had to hold them over the bench. Since I couldn't, the teacher
said to use a metal clamp to attach it to the bench and that was also hard because it
still moved. I finally did it though, with some help from the teacher though.

Arranging and cutting my curved braces (and whole project)
ARRANGING
Today, I started by taking out all the
parts of my project. I needed to find out
how to glue it a put it all together so I
had to use a clamp to do that. It was very
hard to keep all the parts together while
trying to clamp up the pieces. I couldn't
do it by myself, so I asked one of my
friends for help. We couldn't do it
together either, so I finally asked the
teacher and I got it to stay together.
CUTTING
After I arranged and found out about
my lamp, I had to put in the new
curved braces. However, they were
too wide and couldn't fit into the
space of the lamp. So, I had to use a
pull saw and cut on the side of the Illustration 41: Arranging my whole lamp together

extremely hard to do it and the
clamp would not stay in place. I had
to ask for help again, and the

23. I think I worked really slow today. I only arranged and cut. I think this is mostly
because I needed help from someone and everyone was busy. Next lesson, I will try
and work more efficiently and try to get many more things done.
LEARNER PROFILE
In general I use Human Ingenuity for the whole project, because I am inventing my
own design. Today, I don't think I used any of the Learner Profiles, or I didn't do
anything that showed a Learner Profile.
GANTT CHART
As before, according to the gantt chart, I am way behind. I am supposed to be done
with my project since two or three weeks ago. I'm behind because I think I
miscalculated (in the gantt chart) ow long everything would take.

Thursday- 18/March/2010
Measuring/marking out, cutting, sanding my light support and left/right sides of
my lamp
MEASURING AND MARKING OUT
Today, I started out the lesson by
assembling all my pieces together. Since
I had lost my light support that I had
made in two previous lessons, I had to
measure and mark out another new one.
So I used a pencil, a metal rule and a tri-
square to measure and mark out my new
light support.
CUTTING
I then had to cut out the light support
that I had marked out. I used a tenon saw
to cut it, and it took me about 20
minutes. It was really hard this time, I
don't know why.

sanding block and sanding paper and
started sanding off all the sharp edges.
When I thought I had finished, the teacher

COMMENTS
I think I did a good job in working hard and
concentrating today. I'm glad I finished
cutting things, because I think I don't need

What you Did
SANDING
The only thing I did today was I sanded the edges (mostly the triangles) of my lamp
sides. I used mostly a sanding block and occasionally a triangular file for the middle
and difficult parts to get of the triangles. I didn't really use the sanding block though, I
used the sanding paper and my hand because it was easier and more efficient to access
the curves and the difficult parts to get (like the edges of the very narrow triangles.
Changes to your plan
There aren't any major changes to my plan. I think all the things have already been set
for my project until now. I had to change many things when I was just starting my
project however now that I am almost finished with my project, I don't think many
changes need to be done.
Emotion
COMMENTS
Since we only had one period today, I only managed to get the sanding done. Today I
learnt that next lesson, I will be screwing and gluing my whole project together! So I
am very excited about that, I think after I glue and screw the body of my project I will
put on the circular lamp disc, and then the lamp! However, then I still need to paint
everything. So I still have a lot of work to do, and I need to focus and concentrate a lot.
What next?
Today, I learnt that I will be gluing and screwing my whole project together. I will be
using PVA glue and screws. I don't know how long it will take me, however, I think its
is about time I get to put my project together.
Why?

25. I decided to sand today because I wanted to get that over with and the edges of my
lamp sides were quite rough and sharp. Also, since we had a single period I didn't have
much time to do anything else. Also, I decided to use a triangular file to smooth out the
insides of the triangles because it was
the only tool that could get there.

Gluing, nailing and arranging
the body of my project
What you did?
GLUING
I started out by taking out all the pieces I have
made so far of my project. I found out that I could
glue my sides and curved braces all together! I
took out some PVA glue and a wet cloth and
started gluing my project together. It was hard at
first, because the glue kept sliding off and the
curved brace did too because of the glue.
However, I got some teacher help and I finally got
it to stay
NAILING
To make sure that the curved braces stuck to the Illustration 47: Using PVA glue to stick
wood, I also had to nail the curved braces to the my curved braces to the sides of the lamp
side. This was not very hard to do. I used a
hammer and the nails, and when I was done, I had to glue and nail the other side of my
project to the curved braces, so that it was all one big project stuck together.
ARRANGING
After that, I had to use a sliding clamp so that my project was all put together and
would stay that way. I used a sliding clamp also so that my project wouldn't move or
fall apart.
Changes to your plan
Today, when I was working on figuring out where to stick the curved braces, and

26. making sure they fit my sides, I found out that I had to cut and smooth plane a lot of
the side off. I have to do that so that the back of my project is all flat and smooth.
Emotion
COMMENTS
I am very happy with what I did today. I finally put my project together! I know that I
have a lot of work to do and I will have to concentrate a lot if I want to finish it anytime
soon. Also, I'm not very happy with the change of plan (with the smoothing and stuff)
however, I know it will make my project better and more appealing.
What next?
Next lesson, I think I will either smooth plane and sand the sticky out bit of my project,
or I will stick the light support and lamp disc at the top of my lamp. Or I could even put
in the nails for good and fill the with some wood filler.
Why?
Today, I used the tools that I did because I needed to glue the curved braces to my
sides, and I also needed to nail it. I used a siding clamp so that my project wouldn't fall
apart and hold in place. Also, I agreed to the changes for my project because I know it
will make it better and more smooth and appealing.

Thursday- 25/March/2010
Nailing, punching, smooth planing and sanding my lamp's body
What you did?
NAILING
Today, I started the lesson by taking out my project. I had to continue nailing my
project's sides, that were already glued together, with a claw hammer and some nails.
It wasn't very hard to do that, however, two nails went through the other side on the
wrong part. So there was a nail sticking out of the lamp.
NAIL-PUNCHING
After all the nails were nailed in, I had to nail-punch all the nails at least 2 millimeters
in. It wasn't so hard because all I had to do was use a nail-punch and a hammer and
punch the nails in. However, sometimes, the nail punch wouldn't stay on the nail
because I wobbled or something, and I would accidentally punch a hole in the wood
beside the nail.
SMOOTHING PLANE
After that, I was told to sand plane the sticky out bits of my curved braces. This was
extremely hard because I had to hold the plane vertically, and it was sort of heavy so I
couldn't do it. Also, some of the part couldn't be reached my the smoothing plane so I
had to stop using it.
SANDING
Instead of the smoothing plane, I decided to use extremely rough sanding paper and a
sanding block to smooth out and sand the rough bits of my curved braces. This wasn't
very hard and I was surprised that it would sand off that quickly if a little bit of
strength was put into the sanding.

27. Changes to your plan
Today, I didn't have any drastic changes to my plan. However, I decided so leave the
out bits of my sides instead of sanding them. I think I did that because it would look a
bit more memphis and also to save some time to sand off the extra parts.
Emotion
COMMENTS
I think I worked very hard today. I got many things done and I'm proud of it. I think I
could almost say I'm almost finished with my project. However, I still have a lot of
work to do and I need to concentrate so that I can get this project finished.
What next?
I think next lesson I will be mostly sanding. I will use rough sanding paper to take out
the rough its of my project. Since it is a single lesson, I don't think I would have time to
do anything else.
Why?
I decided to not use a sanding plane because it was very hard to use it vertically and it
was also heavy.

Painting my project sides and middle
What you did
PAINTING
Today, I continued painting my project. First, I
put on an apron and I went to find a few
brushes that have been washed and are still
usable. I took out my project and started
painting it with yellow paint on the sides. I have
the idea of making black and yellow stripes on
the sides and red for the middle with a
bacterium design. I took out the tape so that my
stripes were straight and didn't collide with the
other colors. So, I painted the sides totally Illustration 52: Using the paint brush to
yellow, and then added black stripes, which apply the yellow paint on the side of my
kind of makes it look like a bee, but it doesn't lamp
really.
Changes to your plan
Today, I made a change to my painting. I was supposed to make red and black vertical
lines for the middle, but then I realized it wouldn't really look good, so I decided to go
with the bacterium effect so that it was more memphis. The black and yellow stripes

31. and the bacterium effect make a good contrast which looks good.
Emotion
COMMENTS
I think that I am almost finished with my
project. I will definitely have it done for next
week and I'm really proud of it so far. I could
be a little ore careful with my painting though,
because some of the parts on my project are
sort of smudged, but I can fix that and when I
do I think it would look good.
What next
Next lesson, I will continue painting and I will
paint the front (middle) of my lamp and also
the light support. I will also paint the inside
(bottom) of the sides because you can see the Illustration 53: Using the paint brush to
wood when you look at the lamp from an apply the acrylic paint on the lamp sides
angle. and create stripes
Why
I decided to change the style of patterns on my lamp because I think it would look
more memphis and also it looks more interesting since there is a contrast between the
two patterns.

Panting my project and screwing the the top disc on
What you did
PAINTING
Today, I started the lesson by putting on an apron and getting out my project. I saw
that I had to paint the front of my project in red and then the next lesson paint the
bacterium pattern on it. I took out some red paint and a paintbrush and started
painting. After I finished painting the red, I did a little touch-ups here and there so that
it looked a little better and more polished.
SCREWING
After the painting, I decided to put my top
disc on, however, it was already the end of
the lesson and so I had to rush. I had to take
the cordless drill and drill six holes in total
on the light support and top disc. Then, I had
to screw in the screws. After I did that, I
think my project looked good with the top
disc.

Emotion
COMMENTS
I think time-wise, I'm doing well. In the next lesson, I feel that I will finish my project. I
think today was a good lesson and I think I did well. I am excited about next lesson,
and I think I did really well on this memphis unit, I really think my project is memphis.
What next?
During the next lesson, I will do some more touch-ups and then put the light and
electrical things on. I will also paint the bacterium pattern on the front of the project.
Why?
I did the things that I did today because it's what I need to do to accomplish finishing
my project. I chose to screw the top disc on today also because it was the next step
after painting, and I had finished the painting for today.
