Seruit is a typical Lampung dish consisting of fried or grilled fish mixed with chili paste and young mango. Common types of fish used are belide, baung, or layis. The fish is seasoned with garlic and turmeric then fried and mixed with sambal udang paste and tempoyal. Seruit is often served with rice and vegetables at weddings and reflects the Lampung people's value of togetherness.
