Lake Lanier Islands
10. Lake Lanier Islands Located 30 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia, this is a truly amazing lake. It is a large lake filled with islands, hence the
name. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this beautiful lake is the place to go. It is quite commercialized with resort
hotels and water parks, spa center, and campgrounds dotting its white sand shores, but the lake itself is breathtakingly gorgeous. The lake has an
interesting history. The area was originally hills near Gainesville. After the Buford Dam was built in 1956 flooding of part of the Chattahoochee
River valley created Lake Lanier, the hills became islands in the lake with 59 square miles of water and 692 miles of shoreline when the lake is at its
normal level, making it the largest lake in Georgia. Named for the American poet Sidney Lanier, it was built and is operated by the U.S. Army

Lake Tahoe Lake Tahoe is definitely one of the most beautiful lakes in the United States. Its water goes from Caribbean blue to dark because it
carves a deep hole in the Sierra Nevada. In August of 2012, USA Today dubbed it "America's Best Lake. The lake was formed approximately two
million years ago and is part of the Lake Tahoe basin. The lake itself was shaped during the Ice Age. The water is amazing and crystal clear with
varying shades of blue. On the border of California and Nevada, its surface elevation is 6,225 ft and it is 1,645 ft deep, making it the second
deepest in the country and the sixth largest by volume, just under that of the five Great Lakes. It is about 21 miles long and 12 miles wide. It is fed
by 63 tributaries with half of the water that enters the lake being in the form of rain or snow falling directly on it. More than 75 percent of the lake's
watershed is national forest land. About two–thirds of the shoreline is in

Precipitation The water released from the clouds in the form of rain, sleet, snow or hail is called precipitation. For the formation of precipitation
millions of droplets coalesce into drops large enough so as to sustain themselves during their descent. Two mechanisms have been put forth to explain
this phenomenon, which are explained as follows: The Bergeron Process which takes place when ice crystals form high in the cloud tops or clod
cloud tops chiefly in the middle latitudes, and The warm process which depends on the individual droplets that grow by the process of collision
/coalescence eventually becoming heavy falling from the base of the cloud. This process is mostly associated with the tropics. Two most familiar and

Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful City
Imagine yourself coming to a city you have never been to for a vacation. You have just gotten a leave from your job and you are expecting a relaxing
vacation without any hassles. After a long flight, you reach your final destination, Pearadex, California. You walk out of the airport into a huge,
beautiful city full of gigantic skyscrapers that is the home of the city's tech industry. As you walk into the downtown area, you see a beautiful fountain
with water gushing out in all directions making its way through the city using a median of streams which resemble a microchip when looked from
above. Little kids are playing in the stream splashing around while the senior citizens sit on pear–shaped benches watching the young children with
glee. Hover cars make their way as they gently glide on top of the river and the streets lining them and guide their passengers home with the low
sound of hover cars powered by compressed gases. Paddle boats and tour gondolas glide across the water gently as their occupants heartily talk
and laugh. Suddenly a bell rings out of nowhere and you are alarmed as you do not know what is going on. You breathe a sigh of relief as you see
kids of all ages flock out of school in the thousands and hear their screams of joy as you walk past. They all dash to Crystal Lake to escape the heat.
The clear water with a hint of blue is full of ripples going off in all directions from the boats and canoes. The familiar smell of freshly cut grass
from the field in Birchland Park enters your nose. You are home! You finally attain your peace and quietness. The neighborhood is very quiet
allowing you to take a peaceful nap and dream about the wonderful sights you will see and the things you will do in this wonderful city tomorrow.
Pearadex city has surpassed all levels expected from the public and is the future generation of cities. It is located in Northern California, United
States of America, and has had quite a big history considering that it was founded on June 19, 1984. Even though this city looks and seems like it
has had a steady and easy going past it has had its fair share of problems. But learning from our mistakes, we have made our city the magnificent city
it is today. First of all, tours

Summary Of ' The Abandoned Spanish Building ' Spain '
*The Abandoned Spanish building, Spain: The beginning of the story starts here, at an old building, where Santiago rests with his flock. Just like
any character Santiago's somewhat inexperienced at first and he hasn't gained the wisdom, experience that he gains by the end of the book. This
location's significance is to be the beginning of his journey that nudges him to look into his dream further. *Town of Tarifa: Santiago comes to this
town with his flock to visit a dream interpreter, a gypsy woman. Gypsies are people who represent a kind of spirituality which occurs throughout
Santiago's journey. The gypsy interprets his dreams so he may start his adventure. The most important event that occurred at this location was when he
met King Melchizedek. The old King tells him about omens and validates the existence of his treasure. If the king had not appeared and told him
about omens, Santiago might have missed the signs given to him and would've passed them off as nothing special. The king teaches him here to
appreciate and pay attention to little things in life. *The Bar, City Tangier,North Africa: When Santiago comes to Egypt and enters a bar, and meets the
thief who took his money. From this location he learns that even if you have little to no belongings you shouldn't fall into despair you should keep
going, and through his despair he experiences the language of the world by interacting with the people around the town. *The Crystal Shop,City

Lake Hamahawk Summer Essay
Birds chirping, crystal blue water, big towering pine trees mixed with amazing birch trees, and on top of all that the fresh, crisp, pine scented, air.
That is what Lake Tomahawk Wisconsin is like. My grandpa owns a cabin up there so we visit it a few times a year. Half of the cabin my grandpa
bought and the other half he built with amazing logs of orange colored wood. I love it up there, mainly because: it's friendly, everything is nearby, and
there is still a TON of nature. But anyway, this little situation happened the week of 4th of July.
We had been up in the cabin for about two days, it was: my family, cousins and their families, and my grandma and grandpa. My dad and I woke up
early that day to go fishing, so we started to go ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My dad thought he new where he was going so we started to go fast, when it suddenly came up to 6ft of water. We were so confused because we
had never seen this before and next thing you know we almost bottomed out. (That's when the boat hits the ground and either gets stuck or beat up.)
We also were worried about hitting one of the volkswagen sized boulders littered around the lake. So we raised up the motor a little bit and I went
up front to see if I could see the ground, which I could easily see it clear as day. At that point we got so turned around that we didn't even know where
the boat launch was. So now we are lost, confused, and almost hitting bottom.
We ended up calling my grandpa, who knows this lake humongus like back of his hand, and all he did was make fun of us. We also tried to call
my uncle, he did the same thing, except he doesn't know the lake NEARLY as well as my grandpa. Then we tried to see if our phones would help,
they didn't. We didn't have the patience for the map to load our current location in this huge lake. Finally we used the GPS on the fishfinder, which
we had both forgotten about, and found that we had been driving in circles for an hour. Eventually the fog cleared and we started to fish there, and we
nailed them. Just about every cast we caught a fish, whether it was a bluegill, rock bass, smallmouth, or largemouth (If you don't know those species
google them). Now it's our new favorite fishing

What Is The Salar De Uyuni Salt Flats
The Salar de Uyuni salt flats are located in Daniel Campos Province PotosГ, Bolivia, they have become Bolivia's largest mineral resource. The
resources that they are known for producing are salt, magnesium, potassium, and boron. The Salar are remnants of many lakes that use to occupy
Bolivian Altiplano in the Late Pleistocene(Orris). Salar de Uyuni has become the world's largest salt plan. The Salar serves as a major transport route
across the Bolivian Altiplano and serves as major breeding ground for many species(Mason). The formation of Salar de Uyuni flats started from a
large drainage system. Which then has to become an enclosed basin that does not drain to the sea and will wash away salt and arid climate where
evaporation exceeds precition leaving behind salt(Orris). This has caused an extraordinary flatness to the entire Salar salt flats.
The main minerals for salt flats are halite and gypsum(Orris). Halite is the mineral name but everyone knows the substance as "salt". Halite will form
in arid climates where ocean water evaporates. Some classifications of halite are: the streak color is white, luster is vitreous, the cleavage has perfect
cubic squares(Calhoun). The use of halite is seen on treatment for winter roads, source sodium ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Playa lakes are dry lakebeds located at the bottom of arid basin or valleys. When water evaporated from a lake the water evaporated, and leaves
behind minerals(Orris). Salt flats are a type of playa lake because the material that falls away fills the bottom of the indentations and keeps the salt
lake shallow and flat(Orris). This results in a bloom of vegetation. The size of playas can vary. Many overlook the benefits of playa lakes but these
hold plant communities, valuable for farming, and livestock production and wildlife(Mason). Even if the playa lakes are wet or dry playas help

What Makes Iodized Table Salt?
Iodized table salt: This is the most type of salt used in homes and kitchens. It is called "Iodized" because today, most salt manufacturers fortify the salt
with mineral Iodine. It is an essential mineral for fighting off certain Iodine–related diseases like hypothyroidism. There's also another natural way to
get this important mineral into someone's system by eating more seaweed, which is rich in Iodine.
Sea Salt:
Made from evaporated water in the sea. Their are larger and coarser crystals of salt then Iodized table salt. Sea salt originated from Brittany, France.
Sea salt is also 2,000 years old and it is foreign.
Kosher Salt: Kosher salt dissolves really fast. This is the type of salt that most chefs use. It is found from the sea or the earth. Brands like Morton
and Diamond crystal sells this type of salt. Kosher salt got its name because the crystals make it perfect for curing meat. You can buy Kosher salt in
any local supermarket. Crystalline sea salt: Good for using in foods like a fresh salad, salmon fillet, etc. Its origin are the coasts from Portugal to
Maine. The texture of the Crystalline sea salt is fine. It also varies in color depending on the minerals it contains. This type of salt can be bought
online. It'll be about $2–$15 depending on how many pounds someone orders. Flaked sea salt: Good for bringing a complex flavor to steamed
vegetables or shellfish. Crushing this type of salt between the fingers and letting it fall on your food can create a briny

My Experience As A Christian Science Nursing Ministry
What I appreciate the most about Christian Science Nursing is how practical and spiritual this ministry is. I value how it actively supports Christian
Scientists all over the globe to rely on the teachings of Christian Science for healing. Whether in a home, a Christian Science Nursing facility or a
Christian Science Camp, the role of a Christian Science Nurse is the same. I have worked in a home and a Christian Science Nursing facility, but not
in a Camp. However, a few weeks ago, I worked at Crystal Lake Camps in Pennsylvania as a Christian Science Nurse. Below is a summary of what
I learned from this Camp experience and how I can apply these lessons in my nursing ministry. In general, my Camp experience was awesome! I
enjoyed working with my CSN Camp Mentor Leslie Levit. Her approach and spiritual preparedness for the day was evident throughout the week.
Leslie and I reviewed the Crystal Lake staff handbook, visited all locations on the Camp where the staff keep the Camp care kits, organized and
replenished ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of the campers I interacted with had very little knowledge of what a Christian Science nurse does or does not do. I, therefore, found it helpful
to explain to some of them what I do and what I don't as a Christian Science Nurse. The prayerful approach to every activity and the metaphysical
preparation for the same was one of the highlights I had for the week. Both the staff and the Campers came to every activity well prepared and this
level of preparedness helped support whatever the staff and campers were doing. Some of the activities I went to include: Nature trail, Soccer, Football,
Kayaking, Boating, Swimming, Marking Books, Burn dance, Hayride, Arts and Crafts, Morning and Evening assemblies, Wednesday Testimony
meeting, Vespers, Sunday School, and Principia

Human Trafficking In Illinois
I would have never imagined that in my community young men, women, and children are being forced into the trafficking industry. Each and every
city in the world has a specific place in which targets are most commonly picked out. Barbara Wheeler, the state representative from Illinois,
informed me on the issues of human trafficking in Illinois, Crystal Lake included. She described how massage parlors in Illinois are used as ways to
bring in women, to be forced to perform sex acts for the customers (Wheeler). The fact that this is happening so close to my home is very frightening. I
cannot fathom how difficult this is for these women to go through and not have a say in what is to be done. One of the biggest questions I had running
through my mind at the beginning of this project was why aren't we (the community) doing anything to stop and help these women?

Survey
My first data collection will be an online survey to find out what factors contribute to the low ELL student enrollment in the Gifted program in
District 47 and to determine the level of knowledge of Extended Curriculum teachers about how ELLs can qualify for gifted and Talented
Programs. This survey questions will be comprised of multiple choice and free response questions, making this a quantitative and qualitative survey.
Furthermore, I will also ask how many ELLs students are enrolled in the EC program at each school of District 47. This tool will appropriately
measure the enrolment data. However, I will use Synergy (a District 47 data system) to validate my findings after gathering my survey. This
validation consists of identifying if other Extended Curriculum students were previously ELLs. My goal is to have an indicator if EC teacher are
lacking knowledge of the use of the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT).
Create a list
My second tool of data collection is a list. I will create a list with what are best practices for identifying and screening English Language Learners
throughout the course of the research with an emphasis on "their gifts within the cultural context of learning a second–language." To accomplish this I
will use data from peer reviewed articles to create a list of recommended best practices, which include name of universal screener, teacher

Importance Of Invasive Species In Wisconsin Lakes
Invasive Species in Wisconsin Lakes Have you ever seen lake that is crystal clear with a bottom that is covered in muscles or has carp splashing
on the surface as far as the eye can see? This happens when invasive species enter lakes and have an enormous population spike due to a lack of
natural predators. In the video Aquatic Invaders it is said that "Over the last century and a half, there have been over 140 species that are invading
the great lakes but, in only the last 30 years this trend has been accelerating (Donahue)."There are a wide variety of invasive species from hundreds
of types of algae to big head carp and all of which have few positives and a large variety of negative effects. Despite the negative effects, there are
few prevention methods in place to prevent these invasive species from entering our local water including the great lakes. While I do concede that
there are a few positive aspects such as Bow fishing, I still insist that invasive species destroy lakes, kill native species, and could cost the state
millions in lost tourism and fishery revenue. Invasive species can destroy lakes in many different ways. One major type of invasive species that

The Geology Of Ontario Through Its Rocks
Minerals are what make–up Rocks and rocks are what make up the geology of an area. In this report, we will focus on the geology of Ontario through
its rocks. We will look at ten difference rocks samples that have been collected from several different places here in Windsor Ontario including the
beach, the river, gravel pits, along highways and roadways as well in parks and campsites. The rocks that were collected are all rocks that have formed
right here in Ontario.
Canada and especially Ontario have very interesting and much filled geologic pasts. Ontario has many types of rocks and minerals that have formed
and are still forming due to the geology. Ontario has sedimentary rocks; igneous rock, and metamorphic rock as well as minerals such as gold, silver,
quartz, and many more. In this paper, we will begin by talking about ten rocks that were collected right here in Windsor Ontario. The rocks were
examined from the outside which tended to be weathered and the inside which were fresh.
Description of rock types:
The collection of the rocks was based on just picking up the most amount of difference looking rocks that was possible and bringing them home to
analyze. This was done for about two months from many difference locations including campgrounds, beaches, rivers, highways as well as construction
sites. After about two months there were many rocks so I started to analyze and take out the rocks that were of the same kind. I found many granite,
basalt and conglomerate rocks.

Among The Sierra Mountains
'Among the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California' by Albert Bierstadt illustrated nature's beauty in a peaceful, placid, and emptiness way which
allows the viewer to feel like they are experiencing the beautiful wilderness of nature in person. In this painting, Bierstadt painted dark clouds breaking
after what looks like a storm, and sunlight reflecting off lush waterfalls that flow into a small lake, barely displaying any movement from the current;
which allows for the reflection of the surrounding scenery upon it. The sun rays bursting through an intensely clouded sky illuminates the visionary
perfection of the mountains and lake which provokes the feeling of peacefulness in a viewer. Albert Bierstadt created the idealist landscape by using
space, colors, and invisible brushstrokes.
Bierstadt divided the painting space into foreground, middle ground and background, and he often used an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this painting, Bierstadt often used greens, yellows, oranges, and blues to add a balance to the overall scene and to create a very well composed
final product that is pleasing to the eye. For example, Bierstadt used cooler colors such as luscious, green vegetation, ice–blue water, and pale,
atmospheric blue–green mountains to compliment the warmer colors such as the pale–yellow hues in the sky backdrop. Bierstadt also used the triadic
color harmony to create depth within this painting by using cooler color such as dark forest green and blue–green to push elements farther into the
background. And using warmer colors such as pale–yellow and red violet to bring highlighted elements forward into the foreground. Bierstadt also
carefully used colors and shadows to create a sense of light and tranquility, for example the sun breaking through the clouds casting majestic rays upon

Crystals : What Are They
Crystals: What Are They The study of crystals is called crystallography. A crystal is a solid that is made up of the numerous atoms or molecules
being arranged in a specific repeating pattern. This ends up in the material having a specific shape and color, and having other characteristic. Crystals
may be big or little, but in a way they are the same shape. If you take a look at the display of crystals in a lab. Salt and sugar are examples of crystals.
Table salt has a cube–shaped structure. Snow has a form of six–sided structure. Diamonds are an example of a crystal, they are made of pure carbon.
How are crystals grown?
Crystals grow in water or another liquid because it can only hold a certain amount of solute. When the temperature of the solution is increased, hot
water can dissolve more solid substances than cold water. This can happen because warm water makes molecules move apart. This makes room for
more solid substance to dissolve. When a solid can't be dissolved anymore, the solution is said to be saturated. As this solution cools, the water
molecules tighten up again and there 's less room for the solution to hold onto the dissolved solid.
Crystals begin to form and build when water starts to let go of extra solute. This process is called recrystallization.
How do crystals form? If the compound is a solid when it is pure, there will be some force between these solute molecules. Most of the time when
these solute molecules meet. They will stay together for a

Essay on Minearls Found around the World
Minerals are found in many areas of the world and some are more easily available than others. The Earth provides natural resources as necessary
minerals that can be used for construction, decoration, gemstones, and many other important physical uses that improve the quality of life. There are
minerals that can be found and mined in natural solid form in small or large quantities and some that are found in a mixed environment and must be
refined. Much time and research has shown that some minerals may be hazardous and many minerals are crucial to a greater life on earth. Chalcopyrite,
copper, and malachite are the three main minerals used to make copper. Copper is one of the most important natural resources and an important ... Show

Copper, Cu, is the natural solid form of copper with an Isometric crystal system. It is found as copper red on a fresh surface, dull brown or green on a
tarnished surface with metallic luster and metallic copper red streak. The natural copper is soft and malleable at 2.3–3 on moh's mineral scale. Copper
nuggets in pure state have been found in Arizona, abundant in Keweenaw Peninsula in northern Michigan, and also found in Canada, Australia,
China, Namibia, Bolivia, and Russia. Copper is mined or extracted as copper sulfide in an open pit mine. Taken in large equipment to be cleaned
in steam and melted dried and cooled in molds to solidify and then sent off to be used as copper products. (Understanding Minerals and Mining
through Education). Malachite, (Cu2(CO3)(OH)2, is a carbonate (minor ore of copper) with a monoclinic crystal system that can be found in
Democratic Republic of Congo, Australia, France, Russia, and Arizona. It is found in different shades of green color with green streak and
vitreous to adamantine in luster. Larger specimens are found to be dull and earthy and smaller specimens are silky. The hardness mineral moh's
level is 3.5 to 4. Malachite is mined by digging for veins in either open pit or underground mining. Malachite is a minor ore of copper and can be
reduced and refined for the use of copper but malachite is a beautiful gem that is used as a decorative stone. The stone is cut and polished and used as
a semi–precious gem

Creative, Original Title
"I will keep smiling, be positive and never give up! I will give 100 percent each time I play. These are always my goals and my attitude." This is a
quote by Yani Tseng, a female Taiwanese professional golfer playing on the U.S. LPGA Tour, and the youngest person ever to have won five majors.
This quote connects with my life because two years ago I learned to stay positive, and never give up. My family and I were in Glacier National Park,
Montana. We were driving through the park, on our way to Lake McDonald. Once we arrived, we were immediately entranced by the stunning beauty
of the lake, and the surrounding forests. We stood there, stunned, admiring the crystal blue water of the lake, the luscious green trees, and the glaciers,
sitting on the surrounding mountains. But we didn't just come here to admire the lake, we came to swim!
"Let's hop in!" my brother Asher exclaimed.
We all headed towards the lake, but Mom and Dad decided to stay back on the shore, rather than going in. Asher and I took off our flip–flops, and head
to the lake. Asher was the first to dip his feet into the water but immediately pulled it out.
"God!" he yelled, "The water's freezing!"
I then dipped my foot into the crystal clear water. It felt like the water was biting at my feet with teeth of ice! That day, the water was around 45–50
degrees Fahrenheit, which is around 35–40 degrees colder than your average swimming pool.
"Jesus, you're right!" I exclaimed

Brooks And Dodson Summary
National Inquirer Assignment Brooks and Dodson, the authors of the article titled "Predation, Body Size, and Composition of Plankton", conducted
research on the effect the small fish called Alosa Pseudoharengus has on an ecosystem, more specifically, different lakes in New England. Along with
the data they collected on the aforementioned matter, they studied the sizes and the composition of the miniscule zooplankton inhabiting the lakes, and
compared it with that of the Alosa. Their research uncovered important facts regarding water ecosystems and how they are so easily thrown off
balance. The main experiment Brooks and Dodson carried out was to find how the addition of Alosa to lakes affected the fragile ecosystem in place.
To test this, they found multiple lakes that were all very similar in size and composition, but the main difference was that some had Alosa and others
did not. The researchers then took the lakes that did not... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Competition determines survival of the fittest. The larger plankton eat larger particles, therefore making themselves thrive, and the smaller planktonic
herbivores were extinguished from the specific lake ecosystem. When the plankton are being heavily hunted, the smaller thrive. The small plankton
tend to succeed in the general plankton population because they are effective when collecting their food, and they have lower metabolic rates,
requiring them to eat less. An equation was devised to represent this scenario. "The food collecting surfaces are proportional to the square of some

Persuasive Essay On Community Service
The options for community service are endless. After narrowing down my options, I applied to volunteer at the Crystal Lake Public Library this
past summer. Having to go in for an interview was a new experience for me, considering how I have never applied for a job. I believe that the
exposure to the interview process did two things for me: first, it put me out of my comfort zone, and second, it taught me invaluable lessons about
applying for future jobs and programs. This is because I am the kind of person who can get nervous easily, and I struggle to hide it sometimes. An
interview is a type of situation that I would feel nervous in; however, I was able to overcome my fear and apply to the library anyways. Therefore, I
learned what I should expect to be asked, and I understand how I should properly respond. Once I was accepted to the library's volunteer network, I
was able to choose which department I would work for in order to serve the community.
By volunteering at the library, I improved the Youth Services department, particularly by participating in the Adopt
–a–Shelf program. One part of my
job was to rearrange the books in the correct order when they got disorganized. This made it easier for parents and children to find the books, movies,
and CDs they were looking for. Another task that I enjoyed was replacing the books to their proper location from the clean–up cart. It is important for
books to be on the shelves where they belong because otherwise it appears that books are not available. My favorite part of volunteering for the
library, however, was getting to help kids pick out the books they were looking for. I remember many of the people I helped, but one of my fondest
moments occurred on one of my first days. I was working in the junior fiction department, and there was a young girl there. She wanted to find a
new series of books to read for the summer reading program. It was special to show her the novels that I read when I was her age, especially when she
chose to start the Mother–Daughter Book Club books: my favorite series in middle school. It was moments like that that made me proud to be a part of
the Crystal Lake Public Library and their volunteer team. As a result of my work at the

Robert Smithson Plural Jetty Essay
Robert Smithson's Spiral Jetty is a 3ft. 6 in. x 15 ft. x 1,500 ft. Earthwork located in Great Salt Lake, Utah. It was created in April 1970. Located
where the rails of the first transcontinental railroad met, it sits near the Golden Spike monument; making it an actual landscape. It's a giant
counterclockwise spiral sculpture made of black rock, earth, algae, and salt crystals. It is said that Smithson used dump trucks and bulldozers to haul in
6,650 tons of earth and rocks to complete the Spiral Jetty. In a 32–minute short color film, he recorded the construction of the Spiral Jetty. Smithson
had to acquire land rights, before completing it. Virginia Dwan Gallery of New York gave Smithson a $9,000 grant for a part of the Spiral Jetty's
construction. The rest was financed over a 20 years lease at payments of $100 annually. The first phase of building the Spiral Jetty took about 6 days
to complete. Smithson was not completely satisfied with it initially and spent another 3 days changing the shape. 7,000 tons of rock had to be moved
during these 3 additional days of work. Smithson died 3 years after completing the Spiral Jetty. It is now owned by the state of Utah, who acquired it

Invasive species come in many forms; they can be plants, animals, insects, fish, fungus, organisms, and bacteria. Invasive plants are those which cause
environmental, economic and human harm and originate from another area or region. They are a complex and difficult problem to tackle. There are
more than 4,000 plants species found in Florida, of those 1300 or more are non–native or invasive. Many invasive species are taking over Florida's
waterways disrupting their natural ecosystem by outgrowing and replacing Florida's native plants. Relieving the damage they cause is not easy, but

The Effect Of Precipitation On The Water Cycle
Precipitation Precipitation is water that is either is solid or liquid form that falls from the Earth's atmosphere. The major types of precipitation are
rain, snow, and hail. When air is lifted from the atmosphere, it expands and cools (Wilson, 2015 ). Cool air can't hold as much water in vapor form as
warm air, and the condensation of vapor into droplets or ice crystals may occur. The droplets will keep growing, they will eventually be heavy enough
to fall to the Earth's surface (Wilson, 2015 ). Precipitation in liquid from will include drizzle and raindrops. Snowflakes are formed by aggregation of
solid ice crystals within a cloud, while hailstones are cooled water droplets and ice pellets. Warm clouds are explained as that do not extend to levels
where temperatures are 32В°F, whereas cold clouds exist at part in temperatures that are below 32В°F (Wilson, 2015 ). Precipitation is the third step
in the water cycle. The water cycle is a process in which water circulates between the Earth's oceans, atmosphere, and land. The water cycle involves
precipitation such as rain, snow, drainage in streams and rivers, and then returns to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration. Evaporation is
when the sun heats up the water in rivers, lakes, or oceans and turns it into vapor or steam (Guenther, 1998–2015). The water vapor or steam will leave
the river, lake, or ocean and will go into the air. Condensation occurs when water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into

but what's next putting him in space? Kane Hodder did a superb job at playing Jason once again. He shows Jasons stregthn as well as brutality in
the vulgar display of anger. Letting us see how power Jason really is, I embrace Jason in this installment. It's a shame he was put into such a
terrible plot. Overall this film had nothing special, no continaution from the past films. While entertaining, but it was by far the worst Friday the

Lake Lanier Islands

  • 1. Lake Lanier Islands 10. Lake Lanier Islands Located 30 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia, this is a truly amazing lake. It is a large lake filled with islands, hence the name. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this beautiful lake is the place to go. It is quite commercialized with resort hotels and water parks, spa center, and campgrounds dotting its white sand shores, but the lake itself is breathtakingly gorgeous. The lake has an interesting history. The area was originally hills near Gainesville. After the Buford Dam was built in 1956 flooding of part of the Chattahoochee River valley created Lake Lanier, the hills became islands in the lake with 59 square miles of water and 692 miles of shoreline when the lake is at its normal level, making it the largest lake in Georgia. Named for the American poet Sidney Lanier, it was built and is operated by the U.S. Army ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lake Tahoe Lake Tahoe is definitely one of the most beautiful lakes in the United States. Its water goes from Caribbean blue to dark because it carves a deep hole in the Sierra Nevada. In August of 2012, USA Today dubbed it "America's Best Lake. The lake was formed approximately two million years ago and is part of the Lake Tahoe basin. The lake itself was shaped during the Ice Age. The water is amazing and crystal clear with varying shades of blue. On the border of California and Nevada, its surface elevation is 6,225 ft and it is 1,645 ft deep, making it the second deepest in the country and the sixth largest by volume, just under that of the five Great Lakes. It is about 21 miles long and 12 miles wide. It is fed by 63 tributaries with half of the water that enters the lake being in the form of rain or snow falling directly on it. More than 75 percent of the lake's watershed is national forest land. About two–thirds of the shoreline is in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. The Bergeron Research Paper Precipitation The water released from the clouds in the form of rain, sleet, snow or hail is called precipitation. For the formation of precipitation millions of droplets coalesce into drops large enough so as to sustain themselves during their descent. Two mechanisms have been put forth to explain this phenomenon, which are explained as follows: The Bergeron Process which takes place when ice crystals form high in the cloud tops or clod cloud tops chiefly in the middle latitudes, and The warm process which depends on the individual droplets that grow by the process of collision /coalescence eventually becoming heavy falling from the base of the cloud. This process is mostly associated with the tropics. Two most familiar and common forms ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful City Imagine yourself coming to a city you have never been to for a vacation. You have just gotten a leave from your job and you are expecting a relaxing vacation without any hassles. After a long flight, you reach your final destination, Pearadex, California. You walk out of the airport into a huge, beautiful city full of gigantic skyscrapers that is the home of the city's tech industry. As you walk into the downtown area, you see a beautiful fountain with water gushing out in all directions making its way through the city using a median of streams which resemble a microchip when looked from above. Little kids are playing in the stream splashing around while the senior citizens sit on pear–shaped benches watching the young children with glee. Hover cars make their way as they gently glide on top of the river and the streets lining them and guide their passengers home with the low sound of hover cars powered by compressed gases. Paddle boats and tour gondolas glide across the water gently as their occupants heartily talk and laugh. Suddenly a bell rings out of nowhere and you are alarmed as you do not know what is going on. You breathe a sigh of relief as you see kids of all ages flock out of school in the thousands and hear their screams of joy as you walk past. They all dash to Crystal Lake to escape the heat. The clear water with a hint of blue is full of ripples going off in all directions from the boats and canoes. The familiar smell of freshly cut grass from the field in Birchland Park enters your nose. You are home! You finally attain your peace and quietness. The neighborhood is very quiet allowing you to take a peaceful nap and dream about the wonderful sights you will see and the things you will do in this wonderful city tomorrow. Pearadex city has surpassed all levels expected from the public and is the future generation of cities. It is located in Northern California, United States of America, and has had quite a big history considering that it was founded on June 19, 1984. Even though this city looks and seems like it has had a steady and easy going past it has had its fair share of problems. But learning from our mistakes, we have made our city the magnificent city it is today. First of all, tours ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Summary Of ' The Abandoned Spanish Building ' Spain ' *The Abandoned Spanish building, Spain: The beginning of the story starts here, at an old building, where Santiago rests with his flock. Just like any character Santiago's somewhat inexperienced at first and he hasn't gained the wisdom, experience that he gains by the end of the book. This location's significance is to be the beginning of his journey that nudges him to look into his dream further. *Town of Tarifa: Santiago comes to this town with his flock to visit a dream interpreter, a gypsy woman. Gypsies are people who represent a kind of spirituality which occurs throughout Santiago's journey. The gypsy interprets his dreams so he may start his adventure. The most important event that occurred at this location was when he met King Melchizedek. The old King tells him about omens and validates the existence of his treasure. If the king had not appeared and told him about omens, Santiago might have missed the signs given to him and would've passed them off as nothing special. The king teaches him here to appreciate and pay attention to little things in life. *The Bar, City Tangier,North Africa: When Santiago comes to Egypt and enters a bar, and meets the thief who took his money. From this location he learns that even if you have little to no belongings you shouldn't fall into despair you should keep going, and through his despair he experiences the language of the world by interacting with the people around the town. *The Crystal Shop,City Tangier, North Africa: The ... • 5. Lake Hamahawk Summer Essay Birds chirping, crystal blue water, big towering pine trees mixed with amazing birch trees, and on top of all that the fresh, crisp, pine scented, air. That is what Lake Tomahawk Wisconsin is like. My grandpa owns a cabin up there so we visit it a few times a year. Half of the cabin my grandpa bought and the other half he built with amazing logs of orange colored wood. I love it up there, mainly because: it's friendly, everything is nearby, and there is still a TON of nature. But anyway, this little situation happened the week of 4th of July. We had been up in the cabin for about two days, it was: my family, cousins and their families, and my grandma and grandpa. My dad and I woke up early that day to go fishing, so we started to go ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... My dad thought he new where he was going so we started to go fast, when it suddenly came up to 6ft of water. We were so confused because we had never seen this before and next thing you know we almost bottomed out. (That's when the boat hits the ground and either gets stuck or beat up.) We also were worried about hitting one of the volkswagen sized boulders littered around the lake. So we raised up the motor a little bit and I went up front to see if I could see the ground, which I could easily see it clear as day. At that point we got so turned around that we didn't even know where the boat launch was. So now we are lost, confused, and almost hitting bottom. We ended up calling my grandpa, who knows this lake humongus like back of his hand, and all he did was make fun of us. We also tried to call my uncle, he did the same thing, except he doesn't know the lake NEARLY as well as my grandpa. Then we tried to see if our phones would help, they didn't. We didn't have the patience for the map to load our current location in this huge lake. Finally we used the GPS on the fishfinder, which we had both forgotten about, and found that we had been driving in circles for an hour. Eventually the fog cleared and we started to fish there, and we nailed them. Just about every cast we caught a fish, whether it was a bluegill, rock bass, smallmouth, or largemouth (If you don't know those species google them). Now it's our new favorite fishing ... • 6. What Is The Salar De Uyuni Salt Flats The Salar de Uyuni salt flats are located in Daniel Campos Province PotosГ, Bolivia, they have become Bolivia's largest mineral resource. The resources that they are known for producing are salt, magnesium, potassium, and boron. The Salar are remnants of many lakes that use to occupy Bolivian Altiplano in the Late Pleistocene(Orris). Salar de Uyuni has become the world's largest salt plan. The Salar serves as a major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano and serves as major breeding ground for many species(Mason). The formation of Salar de Uyuni flats started from a large drainage system. Which then has to become an enclosed basin that does not drain to the sea and will wash away salt and arid climate where evaporation exceeds precition leaving behind salt(Orris). This has caused an extraordinary flatness to the entire Salar salt flats. The main minerals for salt flats are halite and gypsum(Orris). Halite is the mineral name but everyone knows the substance as "salt". Halite will form in arid climates where ocean water evaporates. Some classifications of halite are: the streak color is white, luster is vitreous, the cleavage has perfect cubic squares(Calhoun). The use of halite is seen on treatment for winter roads, source sodium ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Playa lakes are dry lakebeds located at the bottom of arid basin or valleys. When water evaporated from a lake the water evaporated, and leaves behind minerals(Orris). Salt flats are a type of playa lake because the material that falls away fills the bottom of the indentations and keeps the salt lake shallow and flat(Orris). This results in a bloom of vegetation. The size of playas can vary. Many overlook the benefits of playa lakes but these hold plant communities, valuable for farming, and livestock production and wildlife(Mason). • 8. My Experience As A Christian Science Nursing Ministry What I appreciate the most about Christian Science Nursing is how practical and spiritual this ministry is. I value how it actively supports Christian Scientists all over the globe to rely on the teachings of Christian Science for healing. Whether in a home, a Christian Science Nursing facility or a Christian Science Camp, the role of a Christian Science Nurse is the same. I have worked in a home and a Christian Science Nursing facility, but not in a Camp. However, a few weeks ago, I worked at Crystal Lake Camps in Pennsylvania as a Christian Science Nurse. Below is a summary of what I learned from this Camp experience and how I can apply these lessons in my nursing ministry. In general, my Camp experience was awesome! I enjoyed working with my CSN Camp Mentor Leslie Levit. Her approach and spiritual preparedness for the day was evident throughout the week. Both the staff and the Campers came to every activity well prepared and this level of preparedness helped support whatever the staff and campers were doing. Each and every city in the world has a specific place in which targets are most commonly picked out. Barbara Wheeler, the state representative from Illinois, informed me on the issues of human trafficking in Illinois, Crystal Lake included. She described how massage parlors in Illinois are used as ways to bring in women, to be forced to perform sex acts for the customers (Wheeler). The fact that this is happening so close to my home is very frightening. I cannot fathom how difficult this is for these women to go through and not have a say in what is to be done. One of the biggest questions I had running through my mind at the beginning of this project was why aren't we (the community) doing anything to stop and help these women? ... Importance Of Invasive Species In Wisconsin Lakes Invasive Species in Wisconsin Lakes Have you ever seen lake that is crystal clear with a bottom that is covered in muscles or has carp splashing on the surface as far as the eye can see? This happens when invasive species enter lakes and have an enormous population spike due to a lack of natural predators. In the video Aquatic Invaders it is said that "Over the last century and a half, there have been over 140 species that are invading the great lakes but, in only the last 30 years this trend has been accelerating (Donahue)."There are a wide variety of invasive species from hundreds of types of algae to big head carp and all of which have few positives and a large variety of negative effects. Despite the negative effects, there are few prevention methods in place to prevent these invasive species from entering our local water including the great lakes. While I do concede that there are a few positive aspects such as Bow fishing, I still insist that invasive species destroy lakes, kill native species, and could cost the state millions in lost tourism and fishery revenue. Invasive species can destroy lakes in many different ways. One major type of invasive species that destroys lakes in Wisconsin is called a zebra mussel. Zebra mussels ... • 27. Crystals : What Are They Crystals: What Are They The study of crystals is called crystallography. A crystal is a solid that is made up of the numerous atoms or molecules being arranged in a specific repeating pattern. This ends up in the material having a specific shape and color, and having other characteristic. Crystals may be big or little, but in a way they are the same shape. When the temperature of the solution is increased, hot water can dissolve more solid substances than cold water. This can happen because warm water makes molecules move apart. This makes room for more solid substance to dissolve. When a solid can't be dissolved anymore, the solution is said to be saturated. As this solution cools, the water molecules tighten up again and there 's less room for the solution to hold onto the dissolved solid. Crystals begin to form and build when water starts to let go of extra solute. This process is called recrystallization. How do crystals form? If the compound is a solid when it is pure, there will be some force between these solute molecules. Most of the time when these solute molecules meet. They will stay together for a ... Brooks And Dodson Summary National Inquirer Assignment Brooks and Dodson, the authors of the article titled "Predation, Body Size, and Composition of Plankton", conducted research on the effect the small fish called Alosa Pseudoharengus has on an ecosystem, more specifically, different lakes in New England. Along with the data they collected on the aforementioned matter, they studied the sizes and the composition of the miniscule zooplankton inhabiting the lakes, and compared it with that of the Alosa. Their research uncovered important facts regarding water ecosystems and how they are so easily thrown off balance. The main experiment Brooks and Dodson carried out was to find how the addition of Alosa to lakes affected the fragile ecosystem in place. After narrowing down my options, I applied to volunteer at the Crystal Lake Public Library this past summer. Having to go in for an interview was a new experience for me, considering how I have never applied for a job. I believe that the exposure to the interview process did two things for me: first, it put me out of my comfort zone, and second, it taught me invaluable lessons about applying for future jobs and programs. This is because I am the kind of person who can get nervous easily, and I struggle to hide it sometimes. An interview is a type of situation that I would feel nervous in; however, I was able to overcome my fear and apply to the library anyways. Therefore, I learned what I should expect to be asked, and I understand how I should properly respond. Once I was accepted to the library's volunteer network, I was able to choose which department I would work for in order to serve the community. By volunteering at the library, I improved the Youth Services department, particularly by participating in the Adopt –a–Shelf program. One part of my job was to rearrange the books in the correct order when they got disorganized. This made it easier for parents and children to find the books, movies, and CDs they were looking for. Another task that I enjoyed was replacing the books to their proper location from the clean–up cart. It is important for books to be on the shelves where they belong because otherwise it appears that books are not available. My favorite part of volunteering for the library, however, was getting to help kids pick out the books they were looking for. Located where the rails of the first transcontinental railroad met, it sits near the Golden Spike monument; making it an actual landscape. It's a giant counterclockwise spiral sculpture made of black rock, earth, algae, and salt crystals. It is said that Smithson used dump trucks and bulldozers to haul in 6,650 tons of earth and rocks to complete the Spiral Jetty. In a 32–minute short color film, he recorded the construction of the Spiral Jetty. Smithson had to acquire land rights, before completing it. Virginia Dwan Gallery of New York gave Smithson a $9,000 grant for a part of the Spiral Jetty's construction. The rest was financed over a 20 years lease at payments of $100 annually. The first phase of building the Spiral Jetty took about 6 days to complete. Smithson was not completely satisfied with it initially and spent another 3 days changing the shape. 7,000 tons of rock had to be moved during these 3 additional days of work. • 37. The Effect Of Precipitation On The Water Cycle Precipitation Precipitation is water that is either is solid or liquid form that falls from the Earth's atmosphere. The major types of precipitation are rain, snow, and hail. When air is lifted from the atmosphere, it expands and cools (Wilson, 2015 ). Cool air can't hold as much water in vapor form as warm air, and the condensation of vapor into droplets or ice crystals may occur. The droplets will keep growing, they will eventually be heavy enough to fall to the Earth's surface (Wilson, 2015 ). Precipitation in liquid from will include drizzle and raindrops. Snowflakes are formed by aggregation of solid ice crystals within a cloud, while hailstones are cooled water droplets and ice pellets. Warm clouds are explained as that do not extend to levels where temperatures are 32В°F, whereas cold clouds exist at part in temperatures that are below 32В°F (Wilson, 2015 ). Precipitation is the third step in the water cycle. The water cycle is a process in which water circulates between the Earth's oceans, atmosphere, and land. The water cycle involves precipitation such as rain, snow, drainage in streams and rivers, and then returns to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration. Evaporation is when the sun heats up the water in rivers, lakes, or oceans and turns it into vapor or steam (Guenther, 1998–2015). The water vapor or steam will leave the river, lake, or ocean and will go into the air. Condensation occurs when water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into ... • 40. Friday The 13th Part III: The New Blood Jason is back with a different destination other then his home at Camp Crystal Lake, as he takes a bite of the big apple. As on the other side of the woods a group of teenagers who have just gradutated class, aboard a cruise ship headed to New York City. Bright young minded lads with high hopes for college and the future soon change. Soon things start going wrong and the teenagers soon learn that Crystal Lakes legend Jason Voorhiees is aboard the ship, slicing and dicing his way to the big apple. I cherish the Friday the 13th movies, even with as many flaws this film had I enjoyed elements of it. Such as a change of story, to me Friday the 13th part VII: The New Blood as well as this latest installment. Like to take the challenge of makings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I feel like half the time we revel in the death scenes more than anything else. When Jason arrives to New York Cityhe walks through the alleys and sewers. Making me miss the good old days of Camp Crystal Lake. Yet the story didn't feel write, Jason should explore the world in store for him, but what's next putting him in space? Kane Hodder did a superb job at playing Jason once again. He shows Jasons stregthn as well as brutality in the vulgar display of anger. Letting us see how power Jason really is, I embrace Jason in this installment. It's a shame he was put into such a terrible plot. Overall this film had nothing special, no continaution from the past films. While entertaining, but it was by far the worst Friday the 13th. I was laughing to myself, with that being said I must say how much I enjoyed the murder in the dancing room, colorful, fun and one of my favorite deaths. In ways it reminded me of the scene in "Carrie" where Tommy Ross and Carrie White dancing the night away. Then I realized I was watching pure baloney. Overall if your a fan of Jason you'll enjoy this exciting chapter like me, but you'll be laughing your tail ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
