While some studies found people with lactose intolerance are at higher risk for osteoporosis due to lower calcium intake, other studies did not find this link. Regardless, people with lactose intolerance should focus on meeting calcium and vitamin D needs through supplements and lactose-reduced dairy to build strong bones and prevent osteoporosis.
