Surely, some iPhone lovers will like this innovated iPhone 7 even though some proposed design and
features for this phone was not made by Apple Inc. and that disappoint some users. But the said
technology company will try to conduct some research and studies or some upgrades. We would
recommend the iPhone 7 for those who have a parts small fortune because these advanced
smartphones are tremendously expensive but totally worth it. iPhone 7 has a new camera system that

The Witchcraft Hysteria Of 1692
The witchcraft hysteria of 1692 happened within the Puritan colony known as Salem Massachusetts. It
s important to know that the belief in witchcraft was carried over from their home country, England. In
England, an act of witchcraft was considered treason against the Church of England, not to mention
the king, who was the head of the church, so if one was to turn their back on the church also meant
going against the king. Many acts against witchcraft were passed, the one dated closest to the Salem
witch trials was the Witchcraft Act of 1604 that moved trials of the supposed witches from churches to
actual courts. The fact that they were once held in churches rather than courts seems like a biased
situation to me. The puritans were afraid of witchcraft so having the church conduct the trials of said
witches could only mean that death was certain. The puritan faith to my understanding was a tough
faith to follow, especially for women.
Gender roles were heavily put upon Puritan women, women were seen as inferior beings that needed
to be dominated by a male figure, and those who broke the mold were viewed as dangerous. When
speaking of puritan women and church, women were not allowed to pray with the congregation or
lead a prayer. The fact that women were viewed as dangerous should they not conform to their gender
roles should really show just how ridiculous their belief system was. One can only imagine that the
paranoia of women being witches derived from the belief

The Literary Modernism Time Period
The literary modernism time period was a movement in literature that started in the early 1890s and
was very eventful. During this era there were many considerable events taking place such as The
Great War (also known as World War One ), which started in 1914. This War lasted for four years and
finally ended in 1918, but its effects lasted much longer. The financial instability of Europe and death
caused by this First World War gave people a sense of patriotism that unified them. It made people
think of not only the society as a whole, but themselves as individuals ( Modernism. ). This new
individualist mindset made people think more about their thoughts and actions than they had ever
previously done before. Because individuals thought ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Laura becomes aware of this news, she immediately suggests calling off the party. Mrs.
Sheridan, Laura s mother, is repugnant against the idea of canceling the party. Jose also displeased
with Laura s suggestion and says, If you re going to stop a band playing every time some one has an
accident, you ll lead a very strenuous life... (Short Stories). After that, despite Laura s exhortative
remarks for them to cancel the party, the previous planes still uphold. Towards the end of the party,
Laura and her father converse about the deceased gentleman while eating some sandwiches. Laura
decides to bring the leftovers to the widow of the recently departed man in a basket, and when she
arrives she is invited in to the house. She does not want to go in but the widow insists and Laura is
given no choice. When she goes in, she is brought to the body of the deceased and sees how carefree
his face is. She contemplates the importance of everything that she once thought had importance and
realizes that no one material thing truly mattered to him at this point. She begins to cry and runs out of
the house, only after managing to utter, Forgive my hat, (Short Stories). She then runs into Laurie who

Mission Command Structure
Outside of the command structure, some organizations we can expect to deal with are Doctors without
Borders, the UN, Red Cross, UNICEF, World Food Programme. To extend influence beyond the chain
of command to some of these organizations, we should conduct periodic meetings with representatives
from these organizations to synchronize and coordinate efforts. Sending an LNO to the organizations
to keep a two flow of communication and information will help us gain situational understanding, as
well as these organizational aims. In turn, we can shape some of our own operations and efforts. We
can also expect to interact with local police and governance. More frequent meetings would be needed
with these groups, as it ties into our core mission of wide are security and delivering humanitarian aid.
Once on ground, we need to establish core ground rules with these two groups in order to facilitate the

These areas are important, as they feed into the commander s ability to make decisions and solve the
problem at hand. Once briefed on the OE, and having met with local and organizational leaders, the
commander probably has a set idea of how they want the operation to unfold, and in the spirit of
mission command, will have a clear intent on how to proceed. This leads to the second part:
constraints/limitations/specified actions, as these specified limitations will shape the COA developed
by the staff. Finally, the commander needs to retain their situational awareness, and by generating
CCIRs, the commander can essentially force the staff to have the same situational awareness, thus
generating a shared understanding. The CCIRs will also feed into the commander s decision making
process as a situation develops and may need to adjust the plan IOT achieve the same intent and end

Third Person Point Of View In Literature
Point of view is the perspective a piece of literature is being narrated from. In first person point of
view, the writer writes as if the person who the book is about wrote the book, using words like I and
me . Second person point of view uses word like you , as if the author is talking to you and directing
you what to do. Third person point of view is when the author writes as if they are a spectator of the
book, using words like they and she and he . There are three different types of third person point of
view. The first on is Limited third person point of view. The author writes from an outsider s
perspective, and knows what the main character is thinking, but is limited to that one character. It is
almost as if the author lives in the brain of the person. Third person Omniscient point of view is
different. The author is watching from an outside view and isn t part of the story. This time though, the
author isn t limited to one character s thoughts. Instead, the author jumps from character to character s
minds, as if they document what happens in one person s mind, and switches to the next when the
chapters change or the paragraphs end. The last point of view is Objective point of view, which is used
rarely except in children s books. It is when the author is completely detached from the character, only
narrating what they see. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Urinary Catheter-Associated Infection
Catheters are associated with urinary tract infections which are the most common healthcare
associated infections, which account for 30 40% of infections in the healthcare setting each year.
(Nazarko et al, 2008) CAUTI results in a patient having to stay in a hospital or nursing home like
setting for a long period of time, which can also result in increase of hospital costs (Plowman et al,
1999). Catheters can either be long term or short term, and there are many different types of catheters
such as: Foley, straight, coude tip. How CAUTIs occur is when bacteria is in the bladder and a few
ways this occurs is when the catheter is first inserted, by ascending the catheter tubing from the
drainage tubing and bag, and when the drainage bag is not emptied properly (Nazarko et al, 2008). ...

Catheters may be inserted when a patient is having a specific type of surgery, such as repair of hip
fracture (Johansson et al, 2002). The EPIC Project guidelines, recommend four interventions related to
reducing urinary catheter associated infection (Pratt et al, 2001): Assessing the need for
catheterization, selecting the catheter type, Aseptic catheter insertion, Catheter maintenance. Tsuchida
and colleagues (2008) found that the use of a pre connected closed system and daily cleansing of the
perineal area could reduce the incidence of CAUTIs by nearly 50%. Also following guidelines is
essential for preventing urinary tract infections some guidelines are; Perform hand hygiene before and
after all handling of the catheter, tubing, and drainage bag. Empty the drainage bag when it becomes
full or at least once every 8 hours to prevent migration of bacteria. Lastly, keep the drainage bag lower
than the level of the patient s bladder to prevent backflow of urine in the bladder; verify that the bag
does not rest on the floor (Caple,

Ncfe Teaching Assistant Essay
The primary objective of a teaching assistant is to support the school by carrying out a variety of tasks
in order to create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment thus allowing teachers more time
to focus on teaching. It is therefore paramount to remain flexible at all times. The purpose of this essay
is to summarise the major learning points from the Teaching Assistant Diploma Course. I will address
the nine subject areas separately.
Supporting the teacher Teachers are incredibly busy and the teaching assistant is a valued asset to
ensure that under the guidance and supervision of the teacher the classroom is organised and
maintained.
The ways in which this can be done is by preparing and maintaining the learning ... Show more

Unlike physical development that is visual, a child s social and emotional development is also
generalised according to age but can t be seen. Every child is unique and for that reason although
general milestones can be used as a guide to expectation, it must be remembered that each child will
develop at his/ her own pace.
The brain development of a child can be seriously affected by their well being during the early years.
Genetic illness, social/ economic factors, culture and influence of carers, stress and harm caused by
lack of stimulation, engagement and positive relationships can all influence development.
Signs such as behavioural problems, low self esteem, apprehension, lack of concentration and
attention seeking could all be signs of emotional distress. In order to support the pupil, teaching
assistants need to have strategies to cope with pupils displaying such symptoms. Schools need to
provide a safe, positive, supporting environment with equal emphasis on pastoral care as much as
academics.
Pupils should be encouraged to strive for independence and take responsibility for their actions and
learning. This may be through input into rules, choices regarding behaviour, or identification of
success criteria and evaluation of learning.
The classroom provides opportunity for self expression in a variety of curriculum areas. The teaching
assistant should support

Archaeology and Ethics

There are many similarities in the ethical statements/codes of the SAA, SHA, AIA, and RPA. The ones
that pertain to this case are as follows: it is the responsibility of archaeologists to work for the long
term conservation and protection of the archaeological record (SAA 1, AIA 1, RPA 1.1 e). The buying
and selling of objects out of archaeological context is contributing to the destruction of the
archaeological record around the world, and these items should not be traded, sold, bought, or bartered
as commercial goods (SAA 3, SHA 6, AIA 2, RPA 1.2 e). Within reasonable time, the knowledge
archaeologists gain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also they are to be careful to preserve and protect the archaeological site when publishing and
distributing information about their nature and location (SAA6 and SHA3).
Finally, the last ethical dilemma to be discussed is the importance of archaeologists to inform the
proper authorities when illegal trading, or selling, of artifacts is discovered. In the text it states, The
two project directors reply that they will not purchase the pots themselves, nor will they guarantee that
authorities will not be notified. They do, however, loan the men some gasoline and a video camera for
a day, to record the pots and their location. It is questionable that the two directors would only imply
that they could not promise the authorities would not be notified. It is their duty to do so, according to
the statements and ethical codes of many archaeological organizations. They also give the local
employees gasoline and a video camera for a day leads the reader to believe that they are okay with
this sort of behavior and have no intention of notifying the proper authorities. It also says that because
of the video camera, many of the villagers now know where the cave is, and will likely know what
ends up happening to the pots. Because the villagers now know where the cave is, it is even more
important that the authorities are notified so that similar situations do not arise with villagers
scavenging the cave and finding more

The ability to make personal souvenirs on deployment is uncommon and an option Troopers should

WINDS OF CHANGE THE INESCAPABLE ROUTE
The Necessity
6. The Indian trade, industry and economy had been stagnating in the years preceding 1991 due to
Govt regulating the industry, and state protection policies of licensing, high tariffs and administered
prices. These protectionist policies made our industries complacent and curtailed the competitive spirit
of the firms, making them inefficient in the intensely competitive global market. The state of Indian
economy was in such doldrums that there was a necessity for the Indian Govt to implement drastic
fiscal policies and a controlled deregulation.
7. The Economic Turnaround of 1991. The state of the Indian economy made the govt realise that they
could no more remain isolated from the world economy, and therefore, brought in economic
liberalisation and free economy. Deregulation, free flow of goods within and outside the country and
encouragement of foreign technology became the order of the day. The new policies brought in a
fierce competition, which epitomised the age old dictum of survival of the fittest . Many firms were
forced to close shop because of obsolescence of their product or technology and lack of skills to

These colonies according to Kipling needed protection from their surroundings.
Imperialism had an impact on the world because it created a new market for goods to be exchanged.
Countries in Europe were able to acquire new natural resources and raw materials for further
production. Then, these countries could sell their goods back to their colonies or elsewhere in the
world. The imperialistic movements also had a global impact because of the conflict that arose
between nations. Tension was building in Europe over the control of colonies and African countries
had to fight wars to make an attempt at retaining their freedom. Eventually, these wars would be a
factor in the causes for World War I because Europeans were building conflict with one another in an
effort to show off their strength and power in Africa.
The assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand led to the beginning of the Great War. Though that
one event probably did not carry enough importance to cause a worldwide impact, there were several
factors such as the imperial wars and the arms race that also were important in causing the war. The
death of the archduke then was just a disguise or an excuse for these countries to go to war because
tensions had been building amongst one another for years. Like the Great Depression, World War I
affected Europe the most. Fighting in Africa did occur however and many of the imperial colonies
were at stake during

The History Of Data Encryption Technology Essay
This paper discusses the history of data encryption technology. It also touches on several aspects of
data encryption technology. Furthermore, an attempt will be made to answer several key questions like
what is data encryption technology (DET). It will also detail some of the history of DET, how DET
affects the lives of people in America, and some of the future implications of this technology. DET can
be defined as the translation or changing of information/data into some form of a secret code through a
process of encryption (Merriam Webster Dictionary, 2016). This process of encryption is key to DET
because it requires the writers and readers of such encrypted information to be able to decode that data
using a secret key, or some sort of password, or algorithm to decrypt the originally encrypted code
(Sans Institute, page 4, 2001). Believe it or not, there is a long history behind data encryption
technology (Sans Institute, page 4, 2001). As a matter of fact, the history of DET goes way back in
time (Pfleeger, page 3, 2002). For example, around 900 BC, an Egyptian scribe used non standard
hieroglyphs in an inscription. (Sans Institutue, page 6, 2001). Since those ancient times until now,
there have been great advancements in DET, and its applications. Hundreds of years later, Assyrian
merchants in the 1500 BC time frame were using pieces of a flat stone with carved inscriptions on
them called intaglio in trading transactions (Sans Institutue, page 8,

Q. What kind of man is Walt Kowalski? Examine character development throughout the film Gran
Torino?
Clint Eastwood s Gran Torino (2008) is a portrayal of human sacrifice and the racial intolerance that
still exists in modern America. The film is set in a poor neighbourhood of Detroit. Clint Eastwood
plays Walt Kowalski, a war veteran who has brooded over his experiences in the war for decades. Past
trauma has caused him to believe that he cannot trust anyone, and he has therefore developed a deep
racism. Eastwood uses many different techniques, including lighting, camera angles, and dialogue to
show how the man Walt Kowalski develops throughout the film. Kowalski begins as an angry, ...

He then aims his gun at the gang, and drives them away. Kowalski says, Get off my lawn , and it is left
ambiguous whether he is defending Thao s family, or he simply just does not want anyone of a
minority on his lawn. Once again, half of Kowalski s face is shrouded by shadow, and at the same
time the music reaches a climax, violins at an extremely high pitch, as if he is battling inner demons
whether to shoot or not. Eastwood compels the audience to think the Kowalski is a man struggling
with his past, and that he can be volatile.
Kowalski s intolerance also finds its way into his relationship with his own family, specifically his
relationship with his sons and their children. This is evident when one of his grandchildren, his son s
daughter asks, So, what are you going to do with it [his car], when you, like, die . This to Kowalski is
exceedingly disrespectful, and makes him even more cynical and angry than he was before, as if
proving him right that values are not as they should be. Kowalski also goes to the doctors, were he
finds out that he has cancer. He then calls his son, trying to tell him. As Kowalski is struggling to say
it, the camera pans over a photo of Kowalski and his wife, on their wedding day. Here, Eastwood
indicated to the audience that Kowalski still misses his wife, and the past. It then shows Kowalski in
the mirror, whilst on the phone. This shows that Kowalski is starting to reflect on his

Ibis Hotels Business Report Essay
IBIS Hotel Report
Ibis, the popular economy hotel chain, opened its first hotel in 1974, in the French town of Bordeaux.
Since then, the company has expanded globally, reaching 40 countries worldwide, opening over 800
hotels. The majority of chains have been established in France, while the UK hosts over 50 chains,
with further four hotel openings expected in December 2009. Recently, the chain has introduced a
strategy to promote the chain s drive for greater and greener customer comfort . (Mintel 2009)

Their market position also suggests that Ibis caters for those with a mid budget (Mintel 2009), and
those looking for extra services such as internet connection and food catering.
Secondary research shows us that Ibis has a fairly respectable reputation in the UK, serving as a low
profile hotel chain. A study found that over 60% of customers thought their experience was either
excellent or good, with around 6 8% finding their experience either poor or unsatisfactory (Mintel
2009). Moreover, further research shows that Ibis shares a similar correlation to the average budget
hotel, scoring slightly under par with regards to friendliness. The hotel suffers from a lack of stand out
feature, as the Mintel Budget Hotels UK August 2009 report points out, Ibis ... has no particular brand
identity of its own (Mintel 2009).
Another interesting consumer attitude is the general opinion towards Ibis s environmental stance. A
July 2009 survey discovered that only a small percentage (around 5%) thought Ibis cares for the

Abstract Expressionism In Modern Society
During the time of the 19th and early 20th century, became a time known as modern society, known
for its modernity and time of modernism. During this time, artists were flourishing and growing into
their own skin, pushing the limits in art, never seen before. This was a time where society became
dominated by industrialization, modernization around civilization. The focus became more on
machine age life than ever before. But with machine age life came the city life, below the night lights
where new art forms developed. This was a time where the man by the name of Edward Hopper
became apart of the spotlight. Hopper was considered a realist type of artist. His imagery of figures
within urban settings goes well beyond their role as modern cityscapes, exposing the under layer of
the human experience. Though he was considered a realist, his work was during a time between the
World Wars. By considering the dramatic use of soft lighting, smallest action and representation of
smaller spaces, Hopper led the way towards Abstract Expressionism. A hot topic during this time was
discussion of work led by Willard Huntington Wright. Wright believed that, art had principles of form
and organization that could be rationally discussed and that it progressed toward a goal of purity (p.16,
Hills). Wright s work and analysis was known as being a formalist meaning, modern art tends toward
the elimination of all those accretions so beloved by the general literature, drama,

Characteristics, Issues And Trends Of The Region From An...
This report has been conducted on the East Asia region based on the information provided by the
universities of Kansas State and Massey. The focus of this report is to identify and describe important
characteristics, issues and trends of the region from an agricultural perspective. To provide an
introduction and insight first a brief summary of East Asia will be provided.
East Asia includes approximately 15 countries, within this there is a population of 1.974 billion
people. Of the total population 51% live within rural areas resulting in agriculture making up 11% of
GDP, which is considerably more than the likes of the US (1% of GDP). There is considerable
diversity between countries within East Asia. There are major differences between country s GDP per
capita and economic development, resulting in distinctive high, middle and low per capita GDP
groups as shown in figure 1. New Zealand in comparison would be in the high per capita group with a
GDP of $36,200. The East Asia countries in which agriculture makes up largest proportion of their
GDP are within the lower to middle GDP band and are Vietnam with 22%, Indonesia with 15% and
Thailand with 12%. Whereas in comparison to the likes of Japan who has the highest GDP per capita
within the region, agriculture only represents 1%. It can also be seen that the risk of investment
increases in East Asia as incomes reduce and that the middle income countries have considerable
growth potential.

An Ecological Footprint Analysis On The Environment
An ecological footprint analysis is a method to calculate the existing requirements created by each of
us in the world s environmentally productive area through our forms of the consumption of food and
additional goods and the distribution of built up ecologically decomposed terrain. Research allows us
to use this ecological footprint analysis to record the existing food system s pressures on the
environment. Ecological Footprint descriptions record the land of biologically beneficial soil and
water required to manufacture the resources exhausted by a certain population and to take up its waste
(Collins Flynn, 2015). The ecological footprint permits us to oversee a dominant risk to sustainability.
An example of this could be the liquidation of the globe s natural capital as we utilize further
resources than the environment can regenerate and generate more excess than the environment can
reprocess (Collins Flynn, 2015). Examination exposes the prominent function performed by the food
system within this liquidation and highlights how overwhelmingly a sustainable outlook depends on
redesigning that routine.
To create a single meal may take a large ecological footprint. The data presented by the Global
Footprint Network, suggests that my current standard of living would require enough resources to
sustain about 3.5 planet Earths (Ecological Footprint Quiz, 2016). This demonstrates why understand
ecological foot printing is so important and how we can make efforts to

Comparing Stereotypes and Stereotyping in Measuring My...
Conformity and Stereotypes in Measuring My Blood and The Artificial Nigger
Adults frequently make conscious attempts to pass on their values and judgments concerning a
number of matters to younger generations by sharing their own views. Generally, the advice they pass
on is helpful for one to become a successful, productive member of the general population; however,
this process of indoctrination can be harmful if the views shared by the elder are racist. Gerald Vizenor
s Measuring My Blood and Flannery O Connor s The Artificial Nigger explore the circumstances in
which racist individuals try to induce others into following stereotypical ideas and how their influence
can lead to a negative outcome.

The criticism of the inquiry into Vizenor s death comes from his own son many years later when he
reaches adulthood. As the son asks his probing questions into what actually occurred to resolve his
father s injustice, the chief of police defends his own work by stating that we [the police department]
never spent much time on winos and derelicts in those days...Who knows, one Indian vagrant kills
another (73). By sharing this racist view, the officer casts Vizenor s father in a negative light while
also boosting his own sense of self worth. In the cop s opinion, his own time is very valuable and
cannot be spared on some insignificant murder victim belonging to the minority community.
Naturally, Vizenor is taken back by such harsh criticism of his own father and he does not respond
well to such blatantly racist comments; the cop is unsuccessful in his ill tempered attempts at
indoctrination. While Mr. Head and the chief of police share a common bond because they both use
racist comments to feel better about themselves, there is a difference

Essay On Raynaud s Disease
Raynaud s disease is when the body restricts the amount of blood flow to various parts of the body,
such as the hands and feet. There are some factors that contribute to making this disease worse, but
there are also some factors that can help in making this disease more controllable. With the very few
known facts about Raynaud s disease, it is not a disease that should be overlooked for the fact it
affects approximately five to ten percent of Americans. (WebMD, 2005 2016).
When Raynaud s occurs, the body limits only so much blood flow throughout the body. The most
common restriction is in the hands and feet. Since the blood flow is restricted, this then causes hands
and feet to feel cold. There is a numbing feeling that could occur, that ... Show more content on

The most common reason why Raynaud s phenomenon occurs is because of exposure to the cold. In
the cold, it is normal for the body to narrow the small blood vessels to the skin and to open the blood
vessels to the inside part of the body to keep the body warm. But with Raynaud s, the body restricts
blood flow to the skin more than it needs to. (WebMD, 2005 2016). Other reasons consist of taking
certain medications, using vibrating power tools for a number of years, excessive smoking, having
emotional stress, caffeine, trauma, circulatory problems, drug use, exposure to some chemicals or
toxic substances, or having frostbite could be factors that could contribute to getting Raynaud s
disease. There are many triggers, but the basic cause of Raynaud s disease is still not known. There
has been a link established between Raynaud s and some autoimmune diseases. Raynaud s may also
signal damage to the blood vessels caused by occupational injuries. (Raynaud s Association, 2016). An
example of an occupational injury that has been previously discussed is using vibrating power tools
over the course of several years. Women are affected nine times more than men with this disease.
Researchers estimate that Raynaud s affects as many as twenty percent of all women in their child
bearing years. That is one in five women from their early teens into their early fifties. (Raynaud s

An Analysis Of The Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Big Six...
Comparison Summary
DBMS Server Comparison Supplement
An Analysis Of The Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Big Six Database Servers. In 1991 I performed
a thorough evaluation and comparison of the four major DBMSs at the time: Informix, Ingres, Oracle,
and Sybase. This comparison was done for a client building a huge distributed database application,
currently in its second phase of d evelopment, with the first phase running successfully country wide.
At that stage, the distinguishing criteria were query optimizers, triggers, views, and support for
distributed databases. Some products had these features, but some others marketing per sonnel were
just talking about them. For example, declarative integrity was a future that was at ... Show more

To explain further, I review a few of the features in this comparison supplement.
Relational Data Model
Although the DBMS products reviewed here can rightfully claim to be relational, their support of the
relational data model must be scrutinized closely. Obviously they all support the basic relational
concepts, such as data stored in tables and accessed b y high level set operations, mostly through SQL.
However, not one of the Big Six supports domains. It is crucial that these products address this
fundamental concept of the relational data model. You must be able to define your domains and then
specify y our table columns, and preferably also your stored procedure variables and parameters, in
terms of the domains. This process is necessary to ensure tight type checking, as you can do in some
programming languages. If a small (in terms of market share) product such as Interbase could
implement domains five years ago, surely the Big Six should be able to get it right today.
All of the Big Six can rightfully claim that they support declarative integrity constraints. Except for
domain constraints, they all support declarative key, column, and referential integrity constraints. But
you must investigate these claims closely as well. Only Informix and Oracle support cascading delete
as a referential integrity constraint violation option, and only DB2 supports the

Benefits Of Minimum Wage
Minimum wage is a struggle for many Americans and I believe it needs to be raised. The minimum
wage of the United States is $7.25 an hour. It is a rate that isn t letting many Americans live life
comfortably. If the minimum wage was changed even a merely $3.75 it would change people s lives
and will let many people get by. The minimum wage of $7.25 has stayed the same since 2009 and
there hasn t been any effort by the government to change it. Many states have increased their
minimum wage, but I hope that the minimum wage rises nationwide and not individually as states.
One of the many groups of people that struggle on minimum wage are college students. Many people
avoid going to college because their minimum wage job will not allow them ... Show more content on

Another reason why the minimum wage needs to be increased because of single parents or even
families in general. Many single parents or families rely on the minimum wage to live day by day.
Although some may say that living alone with a child doesn t cost much, but I disagree. Having a
child cost a lot of money. These parents often do not raise their children because they must dedicate
their life to working most of the hours of the week and must leave their children in a daycare or in the
home of a close family relative. In between buying necessities for the child and having to raise them,
they have to work long hours of the week because the minimum wage is too low to allow them to take
a break. This is something that effects millions of families in the United States. Gould, senior
economist at EPI tells NBC News, Even in Tennessee, a state with some of the most affordable cities
in the country, minimum wage workers cannot cover the cost of basic necessities such as housing,
food and other expenses. Families should also have the opportunity to thrive off the minimum wage.
Furthermore people cannot pay the bills and take care of themselves on minimum wage. Minimum
wage often cannot pay adult bills. Although in the past the minimum wage was way below what is it
today, consumer prices have increased a total of 482%. Even college tuition has gone up 994% in
pricing than in 1970, and that s only

The Reform And Implementation Of A New Defined Benefit...
INTRODUCTION With the reform and implementation of a new defined benefit public pension
system, Indonesia seeks to achieve international standards when it comes to public pensions. A new
1st pillar earnings related defined benefit scheme named Jaminan Pensiun (JPN) was officially put
into place on July 1st. With the exception of the non contributory zero pillar program, the
implementation of JPN completes the Five Pillar Conceptual Framework suggested by the World
Bank (World Bank, 2008). In this paper, the adequacy, sustainability, predictability, and robustness of
Indonesia s pension scheme will be evaluated in comparison to other countries with similar pension
schemes. The focus will mostly be on the new program JPN, and to a lesser extent, the old Jamsostek
program Jaminan Hari Tua (JHT). DB AND DC SCHEMES Indonesia has both of these schemes
implemented in the pension system. Both schemes cover only the formal sector. DC (Jaminan Hari
Tua) Prior to the 2015 reform, Indonesia s DC system was abused by contributors by withdrawing the
balance long before the maturity of the fund/retirement . A reform was made so that the minimum
contributory period was 10 years and a large part of the balance cannot be withdrawn until participants
reach retirement age. Most individuals do not understand the actuarial component in a DC scheme.
Early contributions in the accumulation period matters more compared to the latter ones. Most

Organizational Data And Management System Essay
Abstract
Organizational data is increasingly prevalent due to the ease of collecting data from several sources.
Because so much data is now available and gathered, organizations must set a data management
system to clean then consolidate the data to give users clear insight into the organization s behavior.
To implement such a system requires the collaboration of both the business manager and the business
s IT organization. The IT organization must have a clear understanding of the data standards and data
model that the manager requests to correctly implement it. Furthermore, the IT organization must
determine how the system should be designed to match the data needs of the organization. Alongside
the IT team, the business manager must address several issues concerning the system, including how
the data should be organized, collected, and distributed. The business manager is also responsible for
ensuring the quality of the data gathered and how to address any technical issues that arise, as well as
oversee the support for any transitions to updated software, so that data is not lost. Keywords: data
management, data model, data management design, database implementation

The Characters In Tim O Brien s The Go-Between
In the authors introduction, the author made it clear that his intended purpose for displaying the
characters, Marian and Ted, was for the reader to judge them harshly, but at the end the reader felt
sorry and sympathetic for the characters. The author, when writing The Go between, wanted the reader
not to know which character to feel sorry for. In contrast, the reader said it was quite obvious that
Marian was the one Hartley disapproved. They saw that she represented life s riches and complexity.
The reader was sympathetic because of the situation Marian was in. Marian was under great pressure
from her mother to marry a Lord Trimingham, a man she does not want to marry. Marian takes the

Character Analysis Of Antony And Cleopatra
Antony and Cleopatra is one of Shakespeare s more glamourous plays that details a forbidden
romance in an incredibly passionate and often aloof way. While reading the play it is difficult to find
empathy in my heart for Antony and Cleopatra s demise. The way I read the play made me feel second
hand embarrassment for the way they handled their relationship and Antony was all the more worse
with his continued infidelity and immature actions. However, watching the play in the intimate setting
of the Round at the Folger Theater allowed the audience to have a more intimate connection with the
actors and better identify with the characters actions. The director took care to light the mood of
certain scenes accurately which effectively warmed and cooled the audience down in a way the
director wanted the audience to feel. The director also made several casting decisions that really
pushed the interpretation of the play he wanted to exhibit. The technical production of the
performance including lighting and sound paired with the casting decisions made by the director help
display the director s angle of one of Shakespeare s most famous plays: to bridge the gap between
Egypt and Rome, where the audience is able to gain an understanding of the characters is ways they
have never been able to before because of the way their emotions and actions change on a whim. It is
difficult to really get Antony and Cleopatra and follow their story because of the way it bounces
around so

Surely, some iPhone lovers will like this innovated iPhone 7 even though some proposed design and features for this phone was not made by Apple Inc. and that disappoint some users. But the said technology company will try to conduct some research and studies or some upgrades. We would recommend the iPhone 7 for those who have a parts small fortune because these advanced smartphones are tremendously expensive but totally worth it. iPhone 7 has a new camera system that people who often take pictures and like photography will surely love this upgrade and it has a starting storage of 32 gigabytes which means you can take more photos, videos, and apps if you desire. • 3. The Witchcraft Hysteria Of 1692 The witchcraft hysteria of 1692 happened within the Puritan colony known as Salem Massachusetts. It s important to know that the belief in witchcraft was carried over from their home country, England. In England, an act of witchcraft was considered treason against the Church of England, not to mention the king, who was the head of the church, so if one was to turn their back on the church also meant going against the king. Many acts against witchcraft were passed, the one dated closest to the Salem witch trials was the Witchcraft Act of 1604 that moved trials of the supposed witches from churches to actual courts. The fact that they were once held in churches rather than courts seems like a biased situation to me. The puritans were afraid of witchcraft so having the church conduct the trials of said witches could only mean that death was certain. The puritan faith to my understanding was a tough faith to follow, especially for women. Gender roles were heavily put upon Puritan women, women were seen as inferior beings that needed to be dominated by a male figure, and those who broke the mold were viewed as dangerous. When speaking of puritan women and church, women were not allowed to pray with the congregation or lead a prayer. The fact that women were viewed as dangerous should they not conform to their gender roles should really show just how ridiculous their belief system was. One can only imagine that the paranoia of women being witches derived from the belief ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Literary Modernism Time Period The literary modernism time period was a movement in literature that started in the early 1890s and was very eventful. During this era there were many considerable events taking place such as The Great War (also known as World War One ), which started in 1914. This War lasted for four years and finally ended in 1918, but its effects lasted much longer. The financial instability of Europe and death caused by this First World War gave people a sense of patriotism that unified them. It made people think of not only the society as a whole, but themselves as individuals ( Modernism. ). This new individualist mindset made people think more about their thoughts and actions than they had ever previously done before. Because individuals thought ... • 5. Mission Command Structure Outside of the command structure, some organizations we can expect to deal with are Doctors without Borders, the UN, Red Cross, UNICEF, World Food Programme. To extend influence beyond the chain of command to some of these organizations, we should conduct periodic meetings with representatives from these organizations to synchronize and coordinate efforts. Sending an LNO to the organizations to keep a two flow of communication and information will help us gain situational understanding, as well as these organizational aims. In turn, we can shape some of our own operations and efforts. We can also expect to interact with local police and governance. More frequent meetings would be needed with these groups, as it ties into our core mission of wide are security and delivering humanitarian aid. These areas are important, as they feed into the commander s ability to make decisions and solve the problem at hand. Once briefed on the OE, and having met with local and organizational leaders, the commander probably has a set idea of how they want the operation to unfold, and in the spirit of mission command, will have a clear intent on how to proceed. This leads to the second part: constraints/limitations/specified actions, as these specified limitations will shape the COA developed by the staff. Finally, the commander needs to retain their situational awareness, and by generating CCIRs, the commander can essentially force the staff to have the same situational awareness, thus generating a shared understanding. The CCIRs will also feed into the commander s decision making process as a situation develops and may need to adjust the plan IOT achieve the same intent and end ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Third Person Point Of View In Literature Point of view is the perspective a piece of literature is being narrated from. In first person point of view, the writer writes as if the person who the book is about wrote the book, using words like I and me . Second person point of view uses word like you , as if the author is talking to you and directing you what to do. Third person point of view is when the author writes as if they are a spectator of the book, using words like they and she and he . There are three different types of third person point of view. The first on is Limited third person point of view. The author writes from an outsider s perspective, and knows what the main character is thinking, but is limited to that one character. It is almost as if the author lives in the brain of the person. Third person Omniscient point of view is different. The author is watching from an outside view and isn t part of the story. This time though, the author isn t limited to one character s thoughts. Instead, the author jumps from character to character s minds, as if they document what happens in one person s mind, and switches to the next when the chapters change or the paragraphs end. The last point of view is Objective point of view, which is used rarely except in children s books. It is when the author is completely detached from the character, only narrating what they see. ... • 8. Urinary Catheter-Associated Infection Catheters are associated with urinary tract infections which are the most common healthcare associated infections, which account for 30 40% of infections in the healthcare setting each year. (Nazarko et al, 2008) CAUTI results in a patient having to stay in a hospital or nursing home like setting for a long period of time, which can also result in increase of hospital costs (Plowman et al, 1999). Catheters can either be long term or short term, and there are many different types of catheters such as: Foley, straight, coude tip. How CAUTIs occur is when bacteria is in the bladder and a few ways this occurs is when the catheter is first inserted, by ascending the catheter tubing from the drainage tubing and bag, and when the drainage bag is not emptied properly (Nazarko et al, 2008). ... Ncfe Teaching Assistant Essay The primary objective of a teaching assistant is to support the school by carrying out a variety of tasks in order to create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment thus allowing teachers more time to focus on teaching. It is therefore paramount to remain flexible at all times. The purpose of this essay is to summarise the major learning points from the Teaching Assistant Diploma Course. I will address the nine subject areas separately. Supporting the teacher Teachers are incredibly busy and the teaching assistant is a valued asset to ensure that under the guidance and supervision of the teacher the classroom is organised and maintained. The ways in which this can be done is by preparing and maintaining the learning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike physical development that is visual, a child s social and emotional development is also generalised according to age but can t be seen. Every child is unique and for that reason although general milestones can be used as a guide to expectation, it must be remembered that each child will develop at his/ her own pace. The brain development of a child can be seriously affected by their well being during the early years. Genetic illness, social/ economic factors, culture and influence of carers, stress and harm caused by lack of stimulation, engagement and positive relationships can all influence development. Signs such as behavioural problems, low self esteem, apprehension, lack of concentration and attention seeking could all be signs of emotional distress. In order to support the pupil, teaching assistants need to have strategies to cope with pupils displaying such symptoms. Schools need to provide a safe, positive, supporting environment with equal emphasis on pastoral care as much as academics. Pupils should be encouraged to strive for independence and take responsibility for their actions and learning. This may be through input into rules, choices regarding behaviour, or identification of success criteria and evaluation of learning. Archaeology and Ethics Michelle Heatherly Archaeology and Ethics 11/15/12 Student Id: 5920 mheathe3@utk.edu Anth 120 004 There are many similarities in the ethical statements/codes of the SAA, SHA, AIA, and RPA. The ones that pertain to this case are as follows: it is the responsibility of archaeologists to work for the long term conservation and protection of the archaeological record (SAA 1, AIA 1, RPA 1.1 e). The buying and selling of objects out of archaeological context is contributing to the destruction of the archaeological record around the world, and these items should not be traded, sold, bought, or bartered as commercial goods (SAA 3, SHA 6, AIA 2, RPA 1.2 e). Within reasonable time, the knowledge archaeologists gain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also they are to be careful to preserve and protect the archaeological site when publishing and distributing information about their nature and location (SAA6 and SHA3). Finally, the last ethical dilemma to be discussed is the importance of archaeologists to inform the proper authorities when illegal trading, or selling, of artifacts is discovered. In the text it states, The two project directors reply that they will not purchase the pots themselves, nor will they guarantee that authorities will not be notified. They do, however, loan the men some gasoline and a video camera for a day, to record the pots and their location. It is questionable that the two directors would only imply that they could not promise the authorities would not be notified. It is their duty to do so, according to the statements and ethical codes of many archaeological organizations. They also give the local employees gasoline and a video camera for a day leads the reader to believe that they are okay with this sort of behavior and have no intention of notifying the proper authorities. It also says that because of the video camera, many of the villagers now know where the cave is, and will likely know what ends up happening to the pots. Because the villagers now know where the cave is, it is even more important that the authorities are notified so that similar situations do not arise with villagers scavenging the cave and finding more ... The Indian trade, industry and economy had been stagnating in the years preceding 1991 due to Govt regulating the industry, and state protection policies of licensing, high tariffs and administered prices. These protectionist policies made our industries complacent and curtailed the competitive spirit of the firms, making them inefficient in the intensely competitive global market. The state of Indian economy was in such doldrums that there was a necessity for the Indian Govt to implement drastic fiscal policies and a controlled deregulation. 7. The Economic Turnaround of 1991. The state of the Indian economy made the govt realise that they could no more remain isolated from the world economy, and therefore, brought in economic liberalisation and free economy. Deregulation, free flow of goods within and outside the country and encouragement of foreign technology became the order of the day. The new policies brought in a fierce competition, which epitomised the age old dictum of survival of the fittest . Many firms were forced to close shop because of obsolescence of their product or technology and lack of skills to

These colonies according to Kipling needed protection from their surroundings. Imperialism had an impact on the world because it created a new market for goods to be exchanged. Countries in Europe were able to acquire new natural resources and raw materials for further production. Then, these countries could sell their goods back to their colonies or elsewhere in the world. The imperialistic movements also had a global impact because of the conflict that arose between nations. Tension was building in Europe over the control of colonies and African countries had to fight wars to make an attempt at retaining their freedom. Eventually, these wars would be a factor in the causes for World War I because Europeans were building conflict with one another in an effort to show off their strength and power in Africa. The assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand led to the beginning of the Great War. Though that one event probably did not carry enough importance to cause a worldwide impact, there were several factors such as the imperial wars and the arms race that also were important in causing the war. The death of the archduke then was just a disguise or an excuse for these countries to go to war because tensions had been building amongst one another for years. • 16. The History Of Data Encryption Technology Essay This paper discusses the history of data encryption technology. It also touches on several aspects of data encryption technology. Furthermore, an attempt will be made to answer several key questions like what is data encryption technology (DET). It will also detail some of the history of DET, how DET affects the lives of people in America, and some of the future implications of this technology. DET can be defined as the translation or changing of information/data into some form of a secret code through a process of encryption (Merriam Webster Dictionary, 2016). This process of encryption is key to DET because it requires the writers and readers of such encrypted information to be able to decode that data using a secret key, or some sort of password, or algorithm to decrypt the originally encrypted code (Sans Institute, page 4, 2001). Believe it or not, there is a long history behind data encryption technology (Sans Institute, page 4, 2001). As a matter of fact, the history of DET goes way back in time (Pfleeger, page 3, 2002). For example, around 900 BC, an Egyptian scribe used non standard hieroglyphs in an inscription. (Sans Institutue, page 6, 2001). Since those ancient times until now, there have been great advancements in DET, and its applications. Hundreds of years later, Assyrian merchants in the 1500 BC time frame were using pieces of a flat stone with carved inscriptions on them called intaglio in trading transactions (Sans Institutue, page 8, ... Clint Eastwood s Gran Torino (2008) is a portrayal of human sacrifice and the racial intolerance that still exists in modern America. The film is set in a poor neighbourhood of Detroit. Clint Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a war veteran who has brooded over his experiences in the war for decades. Kowalski says, Get off my lawn , and it is left ambiguous whether he is defending Thao s family, or he simply just does not want anyone of a minority on his lawn. Once again, half of Kowalski s face is shrouded by shadow, and at the same time the music reaches a climax, violins at an extremely high pitch, as if he is battling inner demons whether to shoot or not. Eastwood compels the audience to think the Kowalski is a man struggling with his past, and that he can be volatile. Kowalski s intolerance also finds its way into his relationship with his own family, specifically his relationship with his sons and their children. This is evident when one of his grandchildren, his son s daughter asks, So, what are you going to do with it [his car], when you, like, die . This to Kowalski is exceedingly disrespectful, and makes him even more cynical and angry than he was before, as if proving him right that values are not as they should be. Kowalski also goes to the doctors, were he finds out that he has cancer. He then calls his son, trying to tell him. As Kowalski is struggling to say it, the camera pans over a photo of Kowalski and his wife, on their wedding day. Here, Eastwood indicated to the audience that Kowalski still misses his wife, and the past. It then shows Kowalski in the mirror, whilst on the phone. Of the total population 51% live within rural areas resulting in agriculture making up 11% of GDP, which is considerably more than the likes of the US (1% of GDP). There is considerable diversity between countries within East Asia. There are major differences between country s GDP per capita and economic development, resulting in distinctive high, middle and low per capita GDP groups as shown in figure 1. New Zealand in comparison would be in the high per capita group with a GDP of $36,200. The East Asia countries in which agriculture makes up largest proportion of their GDP are within the lower to middle GDP band and are Vietnam with 22%, Indonesia with 15% and Thailand with 12%. Whereas in comparison to the likes of Japan who has the highest GDP per capita within the region, agriculture only represents 1%. • 24. An Ecological Footprint Analysis On The Environment An ecological footprint analysis is a method to calculate the existing requirements created by each of us in the world s environmentally productive area through our forms of the consumption of food and additional goods and the distribution of built up ecologically decomposed terrain. Research allows us to use this ecological footprint analysis to record the existing food system s pressures on the environment. Ecological Footprint descriptions record the land of biologically beneficial soil and water required to manufacture the resources exhausted by a certain population and to take up its waste (Collins Flynn, 2015). The ecological footprint permits us to oversee a dominant risk to sustainability. An example of this could be the liquidation of the globe s natural capital as we utilize further resources than the environment can regenerate and generate more excess than the environment can reprocess (Collins Flynn, 2015). Examination exposes the prominent function performed by the food system within this liquidation and highlights how overwhelmingly a sustainable outlook depends on redesigning that routine. To create a single meal may take a large ecological footprint. The data presented by the Global Footprint Network, suggests that my current standard of living would require enough resources to sustain about 3.5 planet Earths (Ecological Footprint Quiz, 2016). Obviously they all support the basic relational concepts, such as data stored in tables and accessed b y high level set operations, mostly through SQL. However, not one of the Big Six supports domains. It is crucial that these products address this fundamental concept of the relational data model. You must be able to define your domains and then specify y our table columns, and preferably also your stored procedure variables and parameters, in terms of the domains. All of the Big Six can rightfully claim that they support declarative integrity constraints.
