I am a dynamic, hardworking Resourcing Specialist with over 10 years’ experience. I have a practical
understanding and tangible experience of all aspects of Recruitment, Personnel, Employee Relations,
Coaching, TUPE, Attendance Management and Discipline and Grievances. I regularly provide advice
and guidance to managers on a wide range of Resourcing and HR related queries. I maintain my
continuous professional development through attendance at events such as CIPD seminars and the
numerous webinars that are available across all areas of Resourcing; the most recent being one in
conjunction with EasyWeb Recruitment and Glassdoor on how to maximise the benefits Glassdoor
can provide as a recruiting tool.
Work Experience
March 2014 – Present Network Rail
Resourcing Advisor
 Recruitment of high volume roles such as Operatives, Technicians and Team Leaders
 Dedicated resourcing support to Stakeholders within Western Route to have a recruitment cycle
time of 55 days or below (currently at 52 days)
 Responsible for all recruitment on the Western route which can be managing up to 50 adverts and
20 offers at the same time.
 Managing high volume campaigns to reduce the vacancy gap to 5%
 Managing the candidate journey from post interview through to onboarding
 Diversity and Inclusion Champion
 Engagement champion
Jan 2012 –March 2014 Makro Self Service Wholesalers
Resourcing Consultant
 Supporting Resourcing strategies across 30 Makro Stores, Head Office and from September 2013
all areas of the Booker Group PLC. This includes everything from initial advert to offer and
onboarding stage, utilising a zero to high cost model.
 Creation of development/assessment centres for specialist roles including Category Managers
and Store General Managers
 Bespoke Campaign management for hard to fill roles including liaison with advertising company
 Managing advertising budget including negotiating terms with advertisers and agencies – resulting
in savings of over 10% for Makro.
 Asylum and Immigration expert - providing guidance regarding the employment of non-British
nationals to both applicants and HR Managers, reporting on existing colleagues to ensure that
Makro remains legally compliant. Providing regular training updates. Level 1 Sponsor for the
Home Office
 Article 55 (Northern Ireland Recruitment legislation) expert
 Provide support to HRBPs and transferees during TUPE exercises including transfer of
DHL/Driving staff
 Fire Marshall – including providing fire awareness training to all new starters
 Create and review resourcing policies including revising the Referencing policy to be more robust
resulting in a 60% increase in number of references being returned.
 Social media expert /point of contact for recruitment – utilising sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter
to reduce the cost per hire.
 Social enterprise manager – developing relationships with providers such as Princes Trust to
create placements for under-represented groups.
 I-GRasp super-user including providing training to all users and utilising the background tools of
the system such as self-configuration and reporting tools.

 Supervise the Recruitment Team, controlling the end-to end recruitment process from initial advert to
eventual appointment. Providing advice and guidance to line managers as required.
 Manage the advertising budget, and project manage the contract and contact with Advertising

 Conduct selection interviews for all levels of staff and Police Officers.
 Run the Staff Selection Training Course

improve these areas within the Constabulary.
 Key stakeholder in the implementation of Identity Access Management Project
 Run employment seminars such as careers events at local schools and colleges
 Work closely with Representative Workforce Team to promote and encourage under-represented
groups to apply. Produce statistics for Home Office on Equal Opportunities, and recruitment
statistics on a quarterly basis monitoring trends and timeliness of the recruitment processes.
 Conduct assessment centres for senior posts, and also the Police National Assessment Centre.
