This document provides instructions for teachers in the Kentwood Public Schools district to share EasyTeach lessons with other teachers. It explains how to sign up for and join the district's Ning site and Interactive Whiteboard Users group to access shared lessons. Teachers can find and open lessons other teachers have shared, and can also share their own lessons by uploading files in the EasyTeach Lesson Sharing discussion forum on the Ning site.

2. Sharing Lessons
 If you save your lesson to your Teacher
Drive, it will be available to other teachers
in your school.
 With so many teachers creating lessons in
the district, we should share lessons with
everyone!
 The more we share the work, the less we
have to do individually 

3. The Kentwood Public Schools Ning
 If you have not already, it is important that you sign
up for the KPS Ning. This is where we can share
lessons.
 Go to

4. Joining the Interactive Whiteboard
Users Group
We will be sharing lessons within the Interactive
Whiteboard Users Group on the KPS Ning. To join
this group:
 Click on the Groups tab at the top of the main page,
or scroll down until you see the Groups section on the
main page.
 Click on the Interactive Whiteboard Users group.

5.  Near the top of the page, you will see: + Join
Interactive Whiteboard Users. Click on it.
 You are now a part of the Interactive Whiteboard
Users group!

6. Easiteach Lesson Sharing Forum
 In the Interactive Whiteboard Users group, scroll down until you
see the Discussion Forum.
 In the forum, there is a discussion titled “Easiteach Lesson
Sharing”. Click on this discussion.
 Your Discussion Forum window may look different from the
one above. If you do not see the Easiteach Lesson Sharing
discussion, click on View All to search for it.

7.  As you scroll down this page, you will see the
original discussion message followed by all of the
responses.
 Check the responses to see if there are any lessons
you would be interested in.
 If you see a lesson that interests you, click on it and
the lesson will open in Easiteach.
 If you like the lesson and want to keep it, save it
into your H: drive or Teacher Drive so you can find it
from year to year.

8. Sharing Your Own Lesson
 In the Easiteach Lesson Sharing Discussion Forum, you
will see a box below the original message that says
Reply to This.
 Type your response there. It may be a good idea to
explain your lessons so others can easily see if the
lessons may pertain to their curriculum. (Grade level,
subject, topic, etc.)

9. Sharing Your Own Lesson cont.
 Underneath the Reply to This box, click on the words Upload files.
 It will change to Attach File(s): with three blank boxes and three
Browse boxes.
 Click on the first Browse box. This will bring up your computer
drives.

10.  Find the drive where you saved your file
(H: drive or Teacher Drive), click on the
folder and file you want to share. Click
Open.
 That file is now ready to be attached.
 To attach another file, click on the second
Browse box and open the file.

11.  When you are finished selecting all the
files you want to share, click on the Add
Reply button.
 Your response and files have been
shared!
