people living in cities will increase by 1.5 times to 6 billion, adding

ECONOMY
In its simplest expression, a
green economy can be
thought of as one which is
low carbon, resource
efficient and socially
inclusive (UNEP, 2011).
The green economy is one that results in
improved human well-being and social
equity, while significantly reducing
environmental risks and ecological
scarcities.
The term green economy was first coined
in a pioneering 1989 report for the
Government of the United Kingdom by a
group of a leading environmental
economists, entitled Blueprint for a Green
Economy (Pearce, Markandya, and
Barbier, 1989).
