techniques are presented by using existing techniques such as Singular value decomposition,
wavelet difference reduction (WDR) and Adaptive wavelet difference reduction (ASWDR). The
SVD has been taken as a standard technique to hybrid with WDR and ASWDR. Firstly SVD is
combined with WDR (SVD WDR) and after that it is combined with its advance version that is
ASWDR (SVD ASWDR) in order to achieve better image quality and higher compression rate.
These two techniques are implemented or tested on several images and results are compared in
terms of PSNR, MSE and CR.

Other people do not have minds. At least, I cannot know for sure that they do, and will argue for
this case in this essay. The problem of other minds (that is, can we know that other people have
minds) is a problem that (like all classic philosophical problems) seemingly has no provable
answer. The problem is such; I do not know for sure that other people actually have minds; I only
know what my own experiences are like through direct experience (i.e. I know my experiences
because I experience them), but I cannot have direct knowledge of other people s experiences,
as I cannot experience their experiences alongside them. Therefore, I only have information
about people s behaviour to go on; e.g. I cannot know that someone is happy, but I can

The Hollow Hope by Gerald Rosenberg is based on one research question. That question is: Can the
Court bring about significant social change? In examining this question Rosenberg presents two

In reading the book Rosenberg does seem to give a hint of bias toward the constrained court as
being more correct, as it appears he spends less of his time arguing for the dynamic court view.
However it may not be bias that is perceived, but just that through his investigation he has found
that the constrained court view is a more accurate representation. There are some parts in the book
where Rosenberg almost asks too much of the Court for the dynamic court view, which makes it
appear that he is setting up the dynamic court argument to fail. As Feeley (1992) mentions in his
review of the first edition of The Hollow Hope, Rosenberg makes his arguments as a lawyer
would, which by definition sets up his opponent to fail and as his conclusion as the most obvious
choice. With this in mind one could conclude that Rosenberg sets up the dynamic court view to fail

These trends allowed me to actually learn from our own Earth. The most active area of our plate
tectonics was subduction zones. This type of plate boundary was the reason for the majority of the
earthquakes documented over the semester. Most of these earthquakes were shallow, but at times
had very deep focal points. Because of the old, cold plate being sub ducted I saw significantly more
deep focus earthquakes in this tectonic setting. Subduction zones were also responsible for the
deepest earthquakes that were experienced throughout the semester. While capturing the title of the
most active, deepest earthquakes, it also produced the largest earthquakes of the semester.
Subduction zones accounted for nearly all of the earthquakes that registered a magnitude above 5.7.
