Flutter is Google's Open Source UI Software Development Kit that enables us to build cross-platform apps for Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, Windows, and Google Fuschia from a Single Codebase. With many companies switching over to a Flutter Codebase to hasten development time, reduce roles, and work from a single codebase, Flutter has been growing at an exponential rate in the market and will definitely expand even more in the upcoming times. Alibaba, Google Ads, Google Pay, Hamilton Musical are a few apps in the ever-expanding codebase of Flutter.
Our meet-up will be focused on the basics of Flutter and introducing Flutter to existing mobile/web developers and curious developers on this exciting technology that is shaping the way mobile development will happen in the future.

Building specialized container-based systems with Moby: a few use cases
This talk will explain how you can leverage the Moby project to assemble your own specialized container-based system, whether for IoT, cloud or bare metal scenarios. We will cover Moby itself, the framework, and tooling around the project, as well as many of it’s components: LinuxKit, InfraKit, containerd, SwarmKit, Notary. Then we will present a few use cases and demos of how different companies have leveraged Moby and some of the Moby components to create their own container-based systems.

Peripheral Programming using Arduino and Python on MediaTek LinkIt Smart 7688...MediaTek Labs
Want to add Wi-Fi to your IoT project? This 30 minute webinar, presented by technical consultant Ajith KP, demonstrated how to program (using Arduino and Python) for peripheral sensors connected to the MediaTek LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo’s microcontroller and how to communicate between the microcontroller and the MT7688 SOC.
Three ways to undertake the peripheral programming for the MediaTek LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo were covered:
1) Using a primitive UART connection
2) Using the Firmata protocol
3) Using the Arduino Yun Bridge Library

Announcing AWS CodeBuild - January 2017 Online Teck TalksAmazon Web Services
Today’s cutting edge companies have software release cycles measured in days instead of months. This agility is enabled by the DevOps practice of continuous integration and delivery, which automates building, testing, and deploying all code changes. This automation helps you catch bugs sooner and accelerates developer productivity. In this session, we’ll share the processes followed by Amazon engineers and discuss how you can bring them to your company by using a set of application lifecycle management tools from AWS: the newly announced AWS CodeBuild service, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeDeploy.
Learning Objectives:
• Understand the concepts of DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Learn about Amazon’s DevOps practices
• Hear an overview of how to build a continuous integration and continuous delivery workflow using the combination of CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy
Jfokus_Bringing the cloud back down to earth.pptxGrace Jansen
How can we effectively develop for the cloud, when we as developers are coding back down on earth? This is where effective cloud-native developer tools can enable us to either be transported into the cloud or alternatively, to bring the cloud back down to earth. But what tools should we be using for this? In this session, we’ll explore some of the useful OSS tools and technologies that can used by developers to effectively develop, design and test cloud-native Java applications.
Essentially, IDE is a software development utility program. The features of a tool can be used for growing and locating out the utility software program application.
Moby is an open source project providing a "LEGO set" of dozens of components, the framework to assemble them into specialized container-based systems, and a place for all container enthusiasts to experiment and exchange ideas.
One of these assemblies is Docker CE, an open source product that lets you build, ship, and run containers.

5 years ago I founded PlatformIO to solve the problem of multi-platform development in the embedded systems industry. Our unique philosophy gives embedded developers true freedom – personally decide which operating system, integrated development environment, and hardware to use. No more lock-ins to the specific semiconductor toolchains. One open-source ecosystem – multiple architectures, development platforms, and processor families!
At PlatformIO, we believe the embedded systems industry desperately needs reinvention. Not only are the IDEs and tools built with technology from the 1990s, but the complex requirements for embedded engineers.
We are using modern technology to re-imagine and re-build core components of embedded infrastructure from the ground up. We’re focusing on improving the lives of everyday engineers with a free, open-source, and next-generation tools for professional development.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
