Biology is the study of life. Biologists study the workings of body systems, interactions between organisms and their environment, and propose solutions to problems. We should study biology to understand the natural world, developments in medicine and science, and environmental issues. Gene therapy involves inserting a healthy gene to replace an abnormal one that causes disease. Living organisms have characteristics like nutrition, sensitivity, respiration, excretion, reproduction, growth, and movement. Plants obtain nutrition through photosynthesis, respond to stimuli like sunlight, perform respiration and excretion, and reproduce both asexually and sexually.
