King Arthur Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of King Arthur can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires
delving into a rich tapestry of mythology, historical accounts, and literary interpretations. The
legend of King Arthur is vast and has been shaped by centuries of storytelling, making it a
complex subject to navigate.
Firstly, the sheer volume of source material can be overwhelming. There are countless versions of
the Arthurian legend, ranging from medieval texts like Geoffrey of Monmouth's "Historia
Regum Britanniae" to later works like Sir Thomas Malory's "Le Morte d'Arthur." Each iteration
introduces variations in characters, events, and themes, adding layers of complexity to the essay.
Moreover, the historical ambiguity surrounding King Arthur poses another obstacle. Scholars
debate whether Arthur was a real historical figure or a mythical creation. Sorting through these
debates and presenting a coherent argument requires careful research and critical analysis.
Interpreting the symbolism and themes within the Arthurian legend adds yet another layer of
difficulty. The narrative often embodies elements of chivalry, magic, and the quest for the Holy
Grail. Unraveling these intricate aspects and connecting them to broader cultural and literary
contexts demands a nuanced understanding of literature and folklore.
Additionally, one must grapple with the challenge of bringing original insights to the table.
Given the extensive scholarship on King Arthur, finding a unique perspective or contributing
fresh ideas can be daunting. Striking a balance between acknowledging existing interpretations
and offering new perspectives requires a thorough grasp of the existing body of knowledge.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of King Arthur is a formidable task that involves
navigating a labyrinth of historical uncertainties, literary variations, and interpretative challenges.
It demands meticulous research, critical thinking, and the ability to weave together disparate
threads into a coherent and compelling narrative. For those seeking assistance with such intricate
assignments, services like HelpWriting.net offer a valuable resource for accessing expertly
crafted essays and more on a variety of topics.

The Benefits Of Uber
Uber, which started their business in Hong Kong in the middle of 2014, has
aroused an intense controversy currently. As they are now operated in more than 20
cities in Asia, their large expansion has made all taxi drivers affected places envious
(Entrepreneurhk, n.d.). Because of their similarity in providing driving service, there
is one after another protest by the local taxi drivers in those countries. Meanwhile,
Uber is still not legalized in Hong Kong. Then, should it be legalized by the
government? Based on its benefits, I strongly believe that it should be legalized in
Hong Kong due to three reasons, to provide a higher quality transportation service to
customers, a substitute for drivers to work and facilitate healthy competition among...

Many licensed drivers would choose to drive it as their part time occupation to
earn extra income. For example, some senior drivers would choose to drive it to
earn part time income; it provides chance for them to work again freely based on
their schedule. Also, Uber drivers enjoy higher flexibility in adjusting the fare that
they can either offer a lower price by giving a discount or a higher price on public
holidays and weekends (Rott, 2013). However, taxi drivers can only charge a fixed
price; otherwise, they will receive complaints for overcharging. They can only earn
more by driving more. Besides, Uber drivers enjoy high autonomy as they are not
working as shift taxi drivers; instead, they can pick up passengers based on their
free schedule. In other words, it is much less stressful to drive an Uber rather than
a taxi (UberPeople, n.d.). Moreover, if Uber is legalized in Hong Kong, then its
drivers are regarded as the employee, but not self employed. In light of this, Uber
needs to pay its drivers compensation for overtime and holiday working, which
allows Uber drivers to earn more, then their income are secured and they are
safeguarded by the law. Therefore, legalizing Uber should be advantageous to drivers

Teenage Delinquency
The way parents rear their children to be well law obeying individuals can be affected
if the parents are not using their authority figure in the correct manner. The way
people parent their children can have a correlating effect on that child having criminal
tendencies. When a parent is not emotional or physically present a child might turn to
delinquency because he/she has no authority figure that has shown them to be
responsible. Bad parentingcan be defined in multiple ways whether it be by neglecting
the child, physically abusing them, and by not disciplining the child appropriately etc.
These bad parenting tactics can be the cause of the youth delinquency.
The problem being targeting is whether the way parents raise their child has an
impact on the child being a delinquent. An individual s parents are the first type of
authority figures a child has and if the parents are not demonstrating respectable
parenting skills or requiring appropriate behavior from the child, the child has the
possibility of rearing to delinquency. This problem is significant because negative
parenting skills increase the risk of setting a child off on a delinquent path that starts
in their early years and can continue far into adulthood. This problem is also
important because if bad parenting is leading the youth to crime one can target the
problem to prevent delinquency. It is thus important for the parents to evaluate their
parenting skills and find resources to better their education and

Mozart s Marriage of Figaro
The main purpose to write this paper is to introduce, discuss, and analyze the opera
The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The plot of this comic opera
all revolves around love triangles and misplaced affections. The main characters of
the play are the Count Almaviva and Countess Rosina, and Figaro, and his bride to be
Susanna are the other couple in the affair. The Count wants to have an affair with
Susanna, and Marcellina wants to marry Figaro. On the other hand, another character,

Certain individuals are not very intrigued with the idea of studying religion or even

The Samurai believe that if you continue to think about tomorrow, you will only
add baggage into your life (Penner, The Way of the Samurai, 2013). The Samurai
also believe in not letting failure, guilt and shame from becoming a part of
someone s life; but rather letting these things go and acting in such a way in which
you believe is right (Penner, The Way of the Samurai, 2013). This way, you will
knowingly act in a way in which is a part of the one and not acting for self greed.
Heidegger believes that we should care as to how we life and the things within it;
however, the Samurai disagree. Heidegger s explanation of death is that it brings
angst and that we stop and consider how it would affect us in our day to day lives
(Penner, Heidegger and the Gift of Death, 2013). Heidegger says we use the angst
to confront death and that it changes our plans that we construct for our lives
(Penner, Heidegger and the Gift of Death, 2013). I do not necessarily see death as
a way to change our plans that we make as I believe with every new day should bring
a new life to live a new adventure to explore.
This way closely resembles the Way of the Samurai as when you kill yourself every
morning; it is like you are beginning a new life with newly faced challenges to
reaching the one . My
Touch Vs Skittles
Advertisement Essay:
Skittle, Midas touch and Skittle pox are two of the most popular Skittle
advertisements to date, Midas touch being developed in 2007 by BBDO
advertising agency with Skittle pox being created by DDB advertising in 2015.
Both adverts focus on a use of comedy and colour to make people remember the
advertisement, and both being made in english for a American/Australian focus. The
Midas touch ad winning a creativity award in 2007, and skittle pox being apart of
Skittles huge marketing campaign, both being to market the new era of skittle candies.
Both advertisements look at skittles as more than a candy, as in the Midas Touch
advertisements it treats Skittles as a power/curse having everything you touch turn

The Skittle pox advertisement follows the stereotype of a boy and a girl meeting
behind the bleachers, but instead of sharing a romantic moment instead the girl eats
one of the boys skittles and contracts skittle pox herself, when in the Midas touch
advertisement, there is no shown stereotype, but it does align itself with the original
Midas Touch story, where Midas was given the ability to turn anything he touched
into gold but in the advertisements instead of turning everything into gold, our main
man Tim turns everything into skittles. We, the audience, love Tim and connect an
emotional attachment to him as he is a soft lovable character who just wants to eat
his own breakfast without turning it into skittles, and there is one question that
keeps us watching that skittle ad and that is if Tim touches a skittle does it split into
two skittles or does it stay the same? We ll never know. In the Skittle pox
advertisements we relate to Billy the awkward and nervous boy who confesses to

become one of the basic necessity in our lives. It is difficult to imagine our life
without the Internet. Many companies today are completely dependent on the

HP have been contributing in the field of network architecture, SDN, BYOD

companies are coming up with various network monitoring analysis tools. But these
tools are restricted in giving the network topology and traffic analysis. Further such
tools are too costly. Still such tools have huge demand in the market, as it simplifies
the network management process by a great deal. Also with the expansion of
Software Defined Network, network analysis space is gaining a tremendous amount
of importance since such tools are needed to refine the network performance. For
example, Birch Communications is planning to develop a real time monitoring tool
(SAM) to assist its customer for network analysis. Similarly, various companies like
SolarWinds, Juniper Network and many more are constantly striving hard to make
progress in this perspective. Business Concept: The idea of developing such product
that automates routing and helps in analyzing network came from the troubles that a
network administrator had to face in resolving network issues in the backbone of the
Internet. External Gateway Protocol (EGP) are incapable of adjusting to the network
anomalies easily. Moreover, hackers can also introduce delays, loops that affect the
network connectivity and operations. Hence to resolve these issues at faster rate the
network administrator requires a
New Zealand Foreign Policy
Within two days, Prime Minister Peter Fraser responded with a cable that
transformed the trajectory of New Zealand s foreign policy. The cable is not
published in full, however, the published extracts reveal that Fraser emphasised the
deterioration in the Pacific theatre and the fact that His Majesty s Government... do
not perhaps fully understand the point of view that is being forced by circumstances
upon the Government and peoples of New Zealand. Further, the cable speaks of an
intention to establish the closest possible relations with the US, while always
having regard to New Zealand s primary connection with the British
Commonwealth. In making his position clear, Fraser proposed that the New
Zealand government send to Washington a Minister of the Crown on special
mission . The importance of this cable as a whole, particularly the final proposal,
cannot be understated and is exemplified by the regard afforded to it by historians.
Wood refers to this cable as the most important single document in the formation of
New Zealand foreign policy. McIntyre speaks of this moment as when the phase of
dual dependency began . Lissington looks at this proposal as a new phase in New
Zealand s foreign policy . The reason for its remarkable significance is that it was
the first time New Zealand looked beyond Britain for a formal security alliance. It
must be recognised that New Zealand had not yet formally severed its ties with
Britain, had no overseas missions outside
AR-10 Research Paper
In this week s reflection, I learned the history of the ArmaLite Rifle AR 10. This
battle tested rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO or .308 Winchester was created
by Marine Aviation Ordinance Corporal Eugene Stoner. Eugene Stoner developed
this rifle in the 1950 s at a section of the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation called
ArmaLite. What makes this achievement in small arms unique is that the AR 10 has
a straight stock and barrel line that is manufactured using composite and forged
alloys allowing for the weapon to be lighter and shoot easier with greater precision.
The fantastic design not only worked great but was also improved on later to
produce the AR 15 chambered in .223. Due to the cost of arming the military, more
soldiers could be outfitted

I didn t choose what my work placement was to be. I turned up at Miss Franklin s
office nervously hoping that I would get a good placement. She sat me down and
looked through some documents. She pulled a wad out and told me that she had
found a convenient work placement. She showed me the letters, and the title was
BUPA Hospital, MarketingDepartment, Bushey. The first thought that sprang into
my head was, how tedious. Then I took some time to think about the ups and downs
of it. I do live in Bushey and it is not even five minutes drive from my house. Also
my business studies coursework is about marketing so I might gain some useful

I realised that mine might not be as exciting or eventful as theirs but I considered that
my placement might be a more useful experience for later life.
My mother is friendly with quite a lot of people who work at BUPA. She spoke to
quite a close friend of hers who answers to my supervisor and was told that she is a
great lady and I would have a lot of fun with her. My mother was also told that there
could be a chance of a part time job after school and on Saturdays. This inspired me
to work really hard for them in order try to impress everyone.
I had not done any research into the company apart from a brief look at their web
site but I felt that I knew sufficient information for a preliminary interview. I hoped
to learn some very important life skills and gain some great experience, which would
be of use to me in later life. I was hoping to gain work on computer skills, as I feel I
am competent in this area and could impress if I were to be given the chance. As I
did not know a great deal about marketing I was keen to gain as much knowledge as
possible and hospital marketing is a field of its own.
On the whole I looked forward to the week it would be a good experience that should
teach me some useful skills.
I was to work in an office with just the Marketing Manager and the Assistant

Violent Video Games And Prosocial Behavior
Introduction Section The study was conducted because there were very few
studies in the past about violent video games affecting prosocial behavior Also
because since there s a positive correlation between aggressive behavior, they want
to know if there s a negative correlation between violent video games and prosocial
behavior. They did research on previous studies that linked violent video games
with aggressive behavior and mindset. They also looked at previous studies testing
if violent video games affect helpful behavior. These experiments either had
unreported results or showed no difference in behavior. The researchers thought
they could do a better experiment and prove that violent video games have a
negative effect on positive behavior. The hypothesis was the participants who
played the extra violent video games will be less charitable and assigned more
difficult puzzles to other, while the ones who played the non violent video games
will be the opposite. Method Sections There were 120 participants. They were first
year students from an intro psychology. They were mostly males, about 88%. They
were also about 68% Caucasian, 25% Asian, and the rest were other . All
participants were regular gamers and played a least one day a week. There were

Television, A Modern Media Essay
Television, a telecommunication medium some may not survive without. Today s
generation may refer to television as a technological norm; delusional of a world
where television was non existent. Notably, television unites the nation through local
or world events, politics, education, and entertainment. Philo Farnsworth, Father of
Television, invented the television; the electronic transmission of fixed or mobile
images. Furthermore, Farnsworth s invention influenced a new form of media. Young
Farnsworth s scientific, technological imagination as well as, competitive battle with
a major league corporation, RCA, enticed the growth of one of the most popular
media mediums; television.
One illustrious instrument that advanced media configuration is Farnsworth s
ambitious background. Philo Farnsworth, innovator at heart, was born August 19,
1906 in Beaver, Utah. Young Farnsworth grew up on a farmhouse in Rigby, Idaho.
While tending to daily agricultural responsibilities on the farm, Farnsworth
fantasized about conveying images through electrical power. He said he had
realized seven years earlier, while plowing a field on his family s farm, that an
image could be scanned onto a picture tube row by row ( Elma Gardner Farnsworth,
98; Helped Husband Develop TV, 2006). Likewise, Farnsworth created electrical
improvements to household appliances which became a favored pastime. According
to Godfrey (2004), By age 12, Philo was repairing the electric machinery around the
Julian Postage Stamp
Why Doesn t Percy L. Julian have a Stamp Already?
I strongly believe that Percy L. Julian deserves a United States postage stamp. He
was quite intelligent, educated, and hard working, and helpful chemist. He was the
first black chemist elected to the National Academy of the Sciences. This is one of
the reasons I strongly believe he deserves a United States postage stamp. Julian never
had a chance at a completely normal education but he became a very smart individual.
When Julian had finished the eighth grade he couldn t go to high school because at
that time there were no high schools open to black students. Instead, he went to
Depauw University. When he went to the University he needed to also take high
school level classes
Feudal Society In Medieval Europe
A feudal society is one in which the lords carry a significant measure of power by
owning land. Workers known as Serfs are included on the land. Serfs owe the lord
a certain amount of labor as well as give the lord a portion of their goods. The lords
then gives protection to the serfs from their knights. To get knights, the lord offers a
fief(land) to the knight in exchange for military service. A feudal society had the
characteristic of being decentralized. It also had major roles and responsibilities that
everyone needed to follow in order to keep the society intact. During the early
Middle Ages, decentralized governments, attacks from the Vikings and other
barbarians, and the strong power of the Church strongly abetted the formation of the
feudal society in Medieval Europe.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When a government system is decentralized, then it may lack a strong military and
infrastructure. After the fall of Charlemagne s empire, his society required a lot of
strong lords with powerful armies to protect the people because there was no strong
centralized government. This led to feudalism because the people were in need of
protection and had no strong centralized government to make a strong army. The
feudal society consisted of a decentralized government and had a strong army.
Another factor that led to the development of feudal societies, were the attacks from
the Vikings and other barbarians. Because The Vikings were so fierce and quick
when they attacked, it made them almost indefensible and very difficult to fight.
When Charlemagne s empire fell, it suffered many attacks from The Vikings that
gradually weakened their government. Feudalism allowed for protection of everyone
and people did not need to rely on a strong, centralized
Manhood In Soldier s Home
Hemingway s conflicting definition of manhood stems from his androgynous
parents as a child. In Soldier s Home , he incorporates the idea of females possessing
masculine traits rather than feminine through the main character s sister, Helen and
female traits in the main character, Krebs. The 1925s was a time where it was
uncommon for girls to be playing sports nonetheless baseball. During a conversation
with Krebs, Helen announces that she is ...going to pitch. I can pitch better than lots
of boys (Hemingway 4). Hemingway places these masculine traits on her, hinting at
the way he was treated as a child by his mother.
The character s mother portrays female dominance whereas the typical man of the
house presence is missing. Kreb s mother is present throughout the story asking
tons of questions regarding his future plans, Have you decided what you are going
to do yet, Harold? and Don t you think it s about time (4). His mother cares deeply
about her son due to his arrival back from the war and his behavior. Her questions

His presence is only revealed through the messages in the conversations between
Kreb and his mother. While speaking with each other, his mother mentions how his
father would like to speak to him at the office. Kreb neglects and disregards his
father s request and instead plans to go to Kansas City. The disregarding of his
father s request proves how submissive his presence and figure is. The lack of
presence suggests that his father withdraws himself from any dispute or problem that
may arise at home. Likewise, Kreb follows suit escaping anything complex and
leaves for Kansas in hopes of the simple, non complex life. Since Kreb s mother
seems to be the one running the marriage, Hemingway incorporates similar aspects
from his real relationship with his parents through the parents of

Pablo Picasso And George Braque
1. Pablo Picasso and George Braque founded cubism in the early 20th century in
Paris. It was an artwork to be considered as the first radical approach in expressing
visual reality. According to Cubist, any perception of an object was a composite of
simultaneous and different perspectives. Cubism tries to help one understand the
world around them in a different way by changing their perspective on a certain
subject. It is an approach of art where a painter takes a real life object and changes
it in a completely different way to the way he or she views it in there mind and how
they perceive it. Cubismused geometric shapes to replace traditional forms. An
example of this type of art form is Picasso s 1907 painting, Les Demoiselles... Show

One of the most famous Surrealists was the Spaniard Salvadore Dali, who subverted
the sense of reality in his painting by using near photographic detail in presenting a
fantastic and irrational world. One of his most famous artworks was the persistence
of memory . It represented that time was fluid. What motivated him to draw this
picture was the Brie cheese that was melting in front of him while he was having a

2. Technological achievements created a second stage of the Industrial Revolution
that transformed the human environment and led people to believe that their
material progress would improve world conditions and solve all human problems.
The invention of electricity was a major new form of energy that proved to be of
great value since it could be easily converted into other forms of energy, such as heat,
light, and motion, and moved relatively effortlessly through space by means of
transmitting wires. In 1910, hydroelectric power stations and coal fired steam
generating plants enabled entire districts to be tied into s ingle power distribution
system that provided a common source of power for homes, shops, and industrial
enterprises. Electricity procreated a whole series of innovative products such as the
incandescent filament lamp. This opened homes and cities to illumination by electric
Genesis 1 Vs. Genesis
For thousands of years, people have read and examined the stories of creation and
Genesis from the Hebrew Bible. Genesis contains two different stories of creation.
These are commonly known as Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 which contain very similar
details but in different orders. Genesis 1 begins with the creation of heaven and earth
while Genesis 2 begins with the creation of man, Adam. Both these stories have
immense importance. However, what would be different if there was only version
of events? If there was only one version of creation that could be published, Genesis
1 would be best because of the series of events, man and woman being created at the
same time, and the similarity to the secular view of creation.
Genesis 1 begins with the
The Implementation Of Credit Rating Agencies
Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) have also been blamed for their role in promoting
risk taking behaviour. The Basel II Accord (2004) also gave CRAs a major role to
play in financial markets. The complexity of MBSs and CDOs increased overtime,
making it difficult for the agencies to assess their risk accurately. They
underestimated the complexity of these mortgages and were slow in downgrading the
ratings during bad times, so that their ratings misled the market participants.
Overtime, various institutions made loans without verifying income and offered
floating rate mortgages with payments that were affordable only initially but
increased greatly overtime. Subprime lending became a norm rather than an
exception. Eventually borrowers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The structure had always carried the risk of the crisis going global. Investor
confidence stumbled globally, the negative sentiment spread throughout the market
and no one wanted to buy these securities, leading to a crash in their prices. Banks,
having to use Mark to Market accounting practices, were forced to write down
losses on these securities into their balance sheets. This resulted in large losses
across the banking industry in the third and fourth quarters of 2007 (Tiller, 2010).
Bear Stearns finally collapsed on March 16, 2008 and was later sold to JP Morgan
Chase.
Lehman Brothers, one of the major investment banks in the US, held massive
amounts of CDOs and MBSs in their portfolio and was therefore nearing bankruptcy.
The CRAs gave the bank the ultimatum to find a buyer or else face a cut in its
ratings. Lehman Brothers ultimately filed for bankruptcy on September 14, 2008 due
to its inability to raise capital or find a buyer. They had expected that the government
would bail them out but that did not happen. This came up as the first big blow to the
financial markets.
There was another instrument that aggravated the whole situation. These were the
unregulated, over the counter derivatives, including Credit Default Swaps (CDSs),
that were sold as an insurance against default on MBSs. AIG sold huge amounts of
these insurance policies, without having enough money to back them up when

Thin Layer Chromatography
Chromatography techniques are one of the most useful methods available for the
separation or isolation of organic compound from a mixture. The most common used
chromatographic technique includes column chromatography, thin layer

elutes (run off), and calibrating a curve to show how the column separates
molecules by molecular weight, and identify the molecular weight of the proteins.
The sample mixture used in this lab contained Blue Dextran that has a size of 2x106

The Influence of The History of Rasselas on A Vindication of the Rights of Woman
A surprising commonality found between Johnson s The History of Rasselas, Prince
of Abissinia and Wollstonecraft s A Vindication of the Rights of Woman is their
shared views on women s issues. This commonality is surprising since the two
authors had different political viewpoints. While Johnson was a conservative Tory,
Wollstonecraft was a social nonconformist and feminist. Although Wollstonecraft and
Johnson adhered to different political agendas, Wollstonecraft revered many of
Johnson s literary works.
One example of Wollstonecraft s admiration of Johnson is found in her uncompleted

In her argument for the merging of reason and sensibility she writes: And what is
sensibility? Quickness of sensation; quickness of perception; delicacy. Thus is it
defined by Dr. Johnson (63). She further states that Johnson s definition of sensibility
found in his Dictionary of 1755 is inadequate. She complains that the definition gives
me no other idea than of the most exquisitely polished instinct (63). Although
Wollstonecraft admires Johnson, his works are subject to the same scrutiny as
Rousseau s.
Wollstonecraft also refers to Johnson s Rambler essay The Mischiefs of Total
Idleness when she comments on the vanities of the rich. She writes:
What can be a more melancholy sight to a thinking mind, than to look into the
numerous carriages that drive helter skelter about this metropolis in a morning full
of pale faced creatures who are flying from themselves. I have often wished, with Dr.
Johnson, to place some of them in a little shop with half a dozen children looking up
to their languid countenances for support. (146)
In this instance, Wollstonecraft states her agreement with Johnson s belief that the
company of children would give health and spirit to the idle women.
While Wollstonecraft refers to Johnson s Dictionary and Rambler essays to
strengthen her argument in Vindication, many of her thoughts on women s issues are
similar to those found in Rasselas. One such similarity is found in Johnson and

related to the residents of Venice. In fact, in the Venice centre in the 1951 the

But if the number of inhabitants is dramatically decreasing, the number of the

Essay on The Music of Puerto Rico
Music, in the history of Puerto Rico, has played a role of great significance as a
means of cultural expression. The five centuries of musical activity shows that Puerto
Ricans have created, developed and promoted a variety of genres ranging from folk
music, concert music and new genres. The Puerto Rican musicand native musicians
have shaped and enriched the identity of the Puerto Rican people and their roots.
Puerto Rican music was the ultimate expression of the Areito (indigenous artistic

the African groups that influence ethnic and cultural formation of the island are the

Africans cultivated their traditions and dances in several coastal towns and

African music has been preserved in the instruments that are still heard in the
characteristic method of executing them, and in some songs, rhythms and dances that
have been preserved by oral tradition. Around the eighteenth century, one of the
factors that caused considerable impact on the formation of the Island Music, was the
arrival of a group of musicians with a Spanish military regiment in 1765. The activity
of these bands, which included public concerts and the music of nature based,
religious and social activities, along with traditional festivals at the center of town

By the end of the eighteenth century, popular music evolved by converging sectors of
the church, community, urban and rural society emerging beyond the capital, San

one change to employment law that was considered was the possible increase in

Dante s Inferno And The Balance Of Power Essay
In Dante s Inferno, Dante (the poet) targets the balance of power between the
papacy and empire. The imbalance between the two is at fault of the papacy,
according to Dante, which is understood to be due to the great refusal. With the
great refusal, the papacy was able to fulfill its greed for power which ultimately
resulted in Dante s exile. However, unlike other poets and other influential
individuals of his time, specifically Thomas Aquinas, Dante took the next step to
show how all these sins came together to contribute to social disorder. Dante s divine
comedyinfiltrates the corruption in the church and its contribution to the political

The political turmoil became further drawn out between opposition for the empire
to have power or whether the power should be held by the papacy. According to
Dante and Thomas Aquinas, a philosopher and Franciscan during Dante s time, they
both agree that the church s role did not require the amount of power they were
trying to acquire. However, a lot of that changed when Pope Celestine V abandoned
his duties of the papacy which gave rise to Dante s biggest enemy, Pope Boniface
VIII. Unlike Aquinas, for Dante the biggest things were the effect on the community
and the infiltration of trust which most of his characters in the Inferno are guilty of.
However the infiltration within the church is much too widespread and personally
affected Dante; in turn in his poem he has placed them in different levels of hell to
make them wish they can repent what they did on earth, as the inferno is a journey

Goals Of Utopia
Utopia
I. Goals values Each citizen of Utopia should value total and complete equality above
all else. Total and complete equality encompasses social matters and governmental
matters; no individual is above another in any capacity. This also applies to dealings
with the structure of government: the needs of the individual are equal to the needs of
the government because the government is the people. This is achieved through the
elimination of social hierarchy. Man cannot think of himself as better than his peers if
they are equal parts of a whole. The goal of the utopia is to provide for the

III. Power politics The works of Karl Marx are a crucial part of the foundation of the
utopia, as they outline the overt flaws in a capitalist system and define the economic
plan of the utopia. Although not inherently communistic in every aspect, the
dominant political ideology of the utopia is libertarian socialism. Under libertarian
socialism, the citizens can reach their full potential while remaining under the care
of the government for systems such as healthcare and education. By being allowed
to the same opportunities as everyone else from birth, the concept of equality of
opportunity is instilled in each person and is further cemented into the foundations
of each individual as they age. Eventually, they will come to see themselves and
others as complete equals, which will give them a better understanding of their
environment and will make for better choices. The utopia will have a horizontal
structure of government and direct participation in creating legislature is voluntary,
however everyone over the age of 19 must vote. All legislation is subject to a vote
by the whole public every three months. For proposed laws, projects or any decisions
made by the government to become enforced legislation, they must be voted on at the

Mental Imagery In Truman Capote s In Cold Blood
In the reality based novel In Cold Blood written by American novelist Truman Capote,
Capote utilizes juxtaposing polysyndeton, hypersensitive pathos, and sympathetic
logos to paint convicted murderer Perry as the victim of a mental illness rather than
a cold blooded killer. Throughout the novel, Capote strategically persuades the reader
that Perry is more of a victim than a perpetrator. Capoteemploys juxtaposing
polysyndeton when he illustrates how Perry actually feels compared to how
everyone else thinks he feels. Before committing the crime, Perry and his
accomplice Dick consume a feast filled to the brim with heavy foods and treats,
They ordered two steaks medium rare, baked potatoes, French fries, fried onions,
succotash, side dishes of macaroni and hominy, salad with Thousand Island
dressing, cinnamon rolls, apple pie and ice cream, and coffee (53). While the
reader may think this is a sign of normalcy for a criminal to treat their intended
robbery like a celebration they are about to attend, for Perry it s a vision of mental
instability. In an effort to distract himself, Perry appears to order heaps of food
with the dragged on sentence listing what he received. This food provides comfort.
However, this is only temporary. The fleeting feeling of joy will soon be filled
with guilt. Dick will not feel any remorse. He is completely unattached. But Perry,
a victim of bipolar disorder, will go through feelings of euphoria leading up to the
intended robbery to extreme discomfort after he managed to kill two members of
the Clutter family. He later explains this feeling, Spells of helplessness occurred,
moments when he remembered things blue light exploding in a black room, the
glass eyes of a big toy bear and when voices a particular few words started nagging
his mind: Oh, no! Oh, please! No! No! No! No! Don t! Oh, please don t, please!
(110). The reader can examine how Perry goes through extreme highs and lows as a
result of his illness. This elicits sympathy for the convicted murderer. In addition,
Capote depicts hypersensitive pathos to draw out the compassion of the readers
because he wants them to understand the complex layers that make up Perry s brain.
Perry is not a simple murderer. He has

To Kill A Mockingbird Calpurnia Essay
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Calpurnia is the maid to the Finch family. Harper Lee
uses her as a sort of mother figure to the children, but she is also used as a window
into how oppression has shaped the small town. She is not fully touched upon in the
story and is largely considered a minor character, yet she has a profound impact on
not the main character Scout and the city of Maycomb. In the town of Maycomb
speech distinguishes the Whites from the Blacks. Calpurnia takes Jem and Scout to
her church one Sunday and Scout notes that her maid is using different speech when
talking to the other people of the Black community than when she talks to Atticus or
others of the White community. This is because she knows that she would be
ridiculed and judged in the black community for talking as she talks to the white
community and vice versa. We also see how racial injustice has affected her when
the people of the black community leave food at the Finch house. She explains that
they had done it as a thanks to atticus for standing up for them. She speaks for... Show

King Arthur Essay. How Arthur Became King

  • 1. King Arthur Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of King Arthur can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires delving into a rich tapestry of mythology, historical accounts, and literary interpretations. The legend of King Arthur is vast and has been shaped by centuries of storytelling, making it a complex subject to navigate. Firstly, the sheer volume of source material can be overwhelming. There are countless versions of the Arthurian legend, ranging from medieval texts like Geoffrey of Monmouth's "Historia Regum Britanniae" to later works like Sir Thomas Malory's "Le Morte d'Arthur." Each iteration introduces variations in characters, events, and themes, adding layers of complexity to the essay. Moreover, the historical ambiguity surrounding King Arthur poses another obstacle. Scholars debate whether Arthur was a real historical figure or a mythical creation. Sorting through these debates and presenting a coherent argument requires careful research and critical analysis. Interpreting the symbolism and themes within the Arthurian legend adds yet another layer of difficulty. The narrative often embodies elements of chivalry, magic, and the quest for the Holy Grail. Unraveling these intricate aspects and connecting them to broader cultural and literary contexts demands a nuanced understanding of literature and folklore. Additionally, one must grapple with the challenge of bringing original insights to the table. Given the extensive scholarship on King Arthur, finding a unique perspective or contributing fresh ideas can be daunting. Striking a balance between acknowledging existing interpretations and offering new perspectives requires a thorough grasp of the existing body of knowledge. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of King Arthur is a formidable task that involves navigating a labyrinth of historical uncertainties, literary variations, and interpretative challenges. It demands meticulous research, critical thinking, and the ability to weave together disparate threads into a coherent and compelling narrative. For those seeking assistance with such intricate assignments, services like HelpWriting.net offer a valuable resource for accessing expertly crafted essays and more on a variety of topics. • 2. The Benefits Of Uber Uber, which started their business in Hong Kong in the middle of 2014, has aroused an intense controversy currently. As they are now operated in more than 20 cities in Asia, their large expansion has made all taxi drivers affected places envious (Entrepreneurhk, n.d.). Because of their similarity in providing driving service, there is one after another protest by the local taxi drivers in those countries. Meanwhile, Uber is still not legalized in Hong Kong. Then, should it be legalized by the government? Based on its benefits, I strongly believe that it should be legalized in Hong Kong due to three reasons, to provide a higher quality transportation service to customers, a substitute for drivers to work and facilitate healthy competition among... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many licensed drivers would choose to drive it as their part time occupation to earn extra income. For example, some senior drivers would choose to drive it to earn part time income; it provides chance for them to work again freely based on their schedule. Also, Uber drivers enjoy higher flexibility in adjusting the fare that they can either offer a lower price by giving a discount or a higher price on public holidays and weekends (Rott, 2013). However, taxi drivers can only charge a fixed price; otherwise, they will receive complaints for overcharging. They can only earn more by driving more. Besides, Uber drivers enjoy high autonomy as they are not working as shift taxi drivers; instead, they can pick up passengers based on their free schedule. In other words, it is much less stressful to drive an Uber rather than a taxi (UberPeople, n.d.). Moreover, if Uber is legalized in Hong Kong, then its drivers are regarded as the employee, but not self employed. In light of this, Uber needs to pay its drivers compensation for overtime and holiday working, which allows Uber drivers to earn more, then their income are secured and they are safeguarded by the law. Therefore, legalizing Uber should be advantageous to drivers in Hong
  • 3. Teenage Delinquency The way parents rear their children to be well law obeying individuals can be affected if the parents are not using their authority figure in the correct manner. The way people parent their children can have a correlating effect on that child having criminal tendencies. When a parent is not emotional or physically present a child might turn to delinquency because he/she has no authority figure that has shown them to be responsible. Bad parentingcan be defined in multiple ways whether it be by neglecting the child, physically abusing them, and by not disciplining the child appropriately etc. These bad parenting tactics can be the cause of the youth delinquency. The problem being targeting is whether the way parents raise their child has an impact on the child being a delinquent. An individual s parents are the first type of authority figures a child has and if the parents are not demonstrating respectable parenting skills or requiring appropriate behavior from the child, the child has the possibility of rearing to delinquency. This problem is significant because negative parenting skills increase the risk of setting a child off on a delinquent path that starts in their early years and can continue far into adulthood. This problem is also important because if bad parenting is leading the youth to crime one can target the problem to prevent delinquency. In her argument for the merging of reason and sensibility she writes: And what is sensibility? Quickness of sensation; quickness of perception; delicacy. Thus is it defined by Dr. Johnson (63). She further states that Johnson s definition of sensibility found in his Dictionary of 1755 is inadequate. She complains that the definition gives me no other idea than of the most exquisitely polished instinct (63). Although Wollstonecraft admires Johnson, his works are subject to the same scrutiny as Rousseau s. Wollstonecraft also refers to Johnson s Rambler essay The Mischiefs of Total Idleness when she comments on the vanities of the rich. She writes: What can be a more melancholy sight to a thinking mind, than to look into the numerous carriages that drive helter skelter about this metropolis in a morning full of pale faced creatures who are flying from themselves. I have often wished, with Dr. Johnson, to place some of them in a little shop with half a dozen children looking up to their languid countenances for support. (146) In this instance, Wollstonecraft states her agreement with Johnson s belief that the company of children would give health and spirit to the idle women. While Wollstonecraft refers to Johnson s Dictionary and Rambler essays to strengthen her argument in Vindication, many of her thoughts on women s issues are similar to those found in Rasselas. One such similarity is found in Johnson and Wollstonecraft s

The current African music has been preserved in the instruments that are still heard in the characteristic method of executing them, and in some songs, rhythms and dances that have been preserved by oral tradition. Around the eighteenth century, one of the factors that caused considerable impact on the formation of the Island Music, was the arrival of a group of musicians with a Spanish military regiment in 1765. The activity of these bands, which included public concerts and the music of nature based, religious and social activities, along with traditional festivals at the center of town squares, prosecutes a favorable environment for musical development. The imbalance between the two is at fault of the papacy, according to Dante, which is understood to be due to the great refusal. With the great refusal, the papacy was able to fulfill its greed for power which ultimately resulted in Dante s exile. However, unlike other poets and other influential individuals of his time, specifically Thomas Aquinas, Dante took the next step to show how all these sins came together to contribute to social disorder. According to Dante and Thomas Aquinas, a philosopher and Franciscan during Dante s time, they both agree that the church s role did not require the amount of power they were trying to acquire. However, a lot of that changed when Pope Celestine V abandoned his duties of the papacy which gave rise to Dante s biggest enemy, Pope Boniface VIII. Unlike Aquinas, for Dante the biggest things were the effect on the community and the infiltration of trust which most of his characters in the Inferno are guilty of. However the infiltration within the church is much too widespread and personally affected Dante; in turn in his poem he has placed them in different levels of hell to make them wish they can repent what they did on earth, as the inferno is a journey reflection of the

Total and complete equality encompasses social matters and governmental matters; no individual is above another in any capacity. This also applies to dealings with the structure of government: the needs of the individual are equal to the needs of the government because the government is the people. This is achieved through the elimination of social hierarchy. Man cannot think of himself as better than his peers if they are equal parts of a whole. The goal of the utopia is to provide for the community, thus keeping it sustainable. Everyone works not out of personal benefit, but out of benefit for the community which will strengthen ... Power politics The works of Karl Marx are a crucial part of the foundation of the utopia, as they outline the overt flaws in a capitalist system and define the economic plan of the utopia. Although not inherently communistic in every aspect, the dominant political ideology of the utopia is libertarian socialism. Under libertarian socialism, the citizens can reach their full potential while remaining under the care of the government for systems such as healthcare and education. By being allowed to the same opportunities as everyone else from birth, the concept of equality of opportunity is instilled in each person and is further cemented into the foundations of each individual as they age. Eventually, they will come to see themselves and others as complete equals, which will give them a better understanding of their environment and will make for better choices. The utopia will have a horizontal structure of government and direct participation in creating legislature is voluntary, however everyone over the age of 19 must vote. For proposed laws, projects or any decisions made by the government to become enforced legislation, they must be voted on at the end of every three months, creating four quarters in the year. These

  • 35. Mental Imagery In Truman Capote s In Cold Blood In the reality based novel In Cold Blood written by American novelist Truman Capote, Capote utilizes juxtaposing polysyndeton, hypersensitive pathos, and sympathetic logos to paint convicted murderer Perry as the victim of a mental illness rather than a cold blooded killer. Throughout the novel, Capote strategically persuades the reader that Perry is more of a victim than a perpetrator. Capoteemploys juxtaposing polysyndeton when he illustrates how Perry actually feels compared to how everyone else thinks he feels. Before committing the crime, Perry and his accomplice Dick consume a feast filled to the brim with heavy foods and treats, They ordered two steaks medium rare, baked potatoes, French fries, fried onions, succotash, side dishes of macaroni and hominy, salad with Thousand Island dressing, cinnamon rolls, apple pie and ice cream, and coffee (53). While the reader may think this is a sign of normalcy for a criminal to treat their intended robbery like a celebration they are about to attend, for Perry it s a vision of mental instability. In an effort to distract himself, Perry appears to order heaps of food with the dragged on sentence listing what he received. This food provides comfort. However, this is only temporary. The fleeting feeling of joy will soon be filled with guilt. Dick will not feel any remorse. He is completely unattached. But Perry, a victim of bipolar disorder, will go through feelings of euphoria leading up to the intended robbery to extreme discomfort after he managed to kill two members of the Clutter family. He later explains this feeling, Spells of helplessness occurred, moments when he remembered things blue light exploding in a black room, the glass eyes of a big toy bear and when voices a particular few words started nagging his mind: Oh, no! Oh, please! No! No! No! No! Don t! Oh, please don t, please! (110). The reader can examine how Perry goes through extreme highs and lows as a result of his illness. This elicits sympathy for the convicted murderer. In addition, Capote depicts hypersensitive pathos to draw out the compassion of the readers because he wants them to understand the complex layers that make up Perry s brain. Perry is not a simple murderer. He has
