2. HISTORY
 Physical education, sport and recreation, the terms anthropometry and biometry were commonly
used.
 Weiner and Lourie (1969), for example, mentioned in their basic work on techniques in human
biology, under the heading anthropometry, only a series of body measurements.
 Quebec, Canada, who introduced for the first time the term 'Kinanthropology' in 1966.
 In this journal, the term 'Kinanthropometry', was first used in an article by Ross et al. (1972)

3. KINANTHROPOMETRY
Can be defined as the quantitative interface between anatomy and
physiology, or between human structure and function.
It is a scientific specialization that employs measurements to appraise
human size, shape, proportions, composition, maturation and gross
function.
