JThermodynamicsCloud is a model-driven software service designed for the combustion research domain to perform thermodynamic calculations and manage the related data using an ontology as its architecture. The system consists of three main components: a user interface, a Java-based RESTful backend, and a NoSQL database (Google Firestore), all interacting through the defined ontology which facilitates data structure and operational definitions. The ontology serves multiple purposes including documentation, data structure definition, and enhancing the automation of processes, leading to a more flexible and efficient application development environment.
