This document discusses using an autoencoder for anomaly detection in a geothermal power plant. It provides an overview of autoencoders, explaining that they are unsupervised neural networks used to compress input data into a latent space representation, then reconstruct the output. The document outlines the encoder and decoder parts of an autoencoder. It then discusses using the latent space of an autoencoder for dimensionality reduction, denoising, and anomaly detection. The rest of the document describes applying these techniques to a geothermal power plant dataset, including preprocessing steps like missing data imputation, outlier removal, and adding noise to the training data. It shows the loss and accuracy curves for the autoencoder model.
Self-Tuning Fuzzy PID Design for BLDC Speed ControlGRD Journals
Brushless DC motor is an electrical motor has high efficiency and torque, long life, cheap maintenance, but it is a nonlinear so complicated in controlling its speed. The popular control system used is PID control. Many ways of determining PID parameters, but because of BLDC motors have non-linear properties so need the intelligent control techniques in setting up PID parameters. In this paper, a self-tuning fuzzy PID control system embedded in ATMega 16 microcontroller to control the speed of BLDC motor adaptively. The results of self-tuning controller PID with fuzzy logic for fixed speed reference at variation speed 1000-2500 RPM has a good transient response parameter value. On the reference up and down the controller is able to adjust the speed change adaptively. The test of momentary disturbance shows the speed is decreasing about 1 second and can back to set point quickly.

Implementation of PID Controller PWM Module on FPGAijtsrd
A technique for designing an Intelligent PID controller using Very Large Scale Integrated circuits VLSI is presented. The PID controller parameters are optimized using the Particle Swarm Optimization PSO algorithm, which identifies errors and controls the system with multiple iterations of different parameters. The optimization process focuses on parameters such as gain, delay, lag, and various times to solve problems. To evaluate the systems performance, a new function that includes system adjusting time, rise time, overshoot, and system error is defined. The circuits are tested and implemented as intelligent PID controllers on VLSI devices in a laboratory plant. The algorithm applied to the PID controller reduces iterations and enables rapid control action, resulting in improved system time delay and performance. The optimization technique is applied to improve the systems response. Finally, the Intelligent PID controller is implemented in FPGA. C. Sinduja | Mrs. P. Fuel pricing, CO2 emission and conservation of
nature have become a hot topic on the international agenda. Due
to CO2 emission and other factors global warming is increasing
drastically and it is a topic of discussion among engineers,
environment mentors and researchers globally. The past decade is
driven largely by an effort to meet legislated carbon emissions
reduction goals for vehicle fleets. The automakers have introduced
technologies that enable internal combustion engines (ICEs) to
turn off automatically when vehicles are stopped. These stop-start
vehicles are also known as micro hybrids, idle stop vehicles, and a
variety of names branded by automakers. These vehicles can offer
significant reductions in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions,
although the actual saving depends heavily on the drive cycle.
Stop-start vehicles require more robust batteries and starter
systems than are found in internal combustion engine vehicles and
are priced at a small premium over ICEs but considerably less
than hybrid vehicles. With the most aggressive environmental
goals in the world, Europe has seen so far the greatest selection of
vehicles with stop-start technology and, not surprisingly, the
greatest volume of vehicles (cars) sold. North America has
experienced a relatively slow penetration of the technology due to
less stringent emissions reduction goals and an Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) testing cycle that underestimates the
benefits of the technology. Worldwide, Pike Research expects
more than 41 million of these vehicles (car) to be sold annually by
2020 – nearly a tenfold increase over 2012 sales

Data Centers - Striving Within A Narrow Range - Research Report - MCG - May 2...pchutichetpong
M Capital Group (“MCG”) expects to see demand and the changing evolution of supply, facilitated through institutional investment rotation out of offices and into work from home (“WFH”), while the ever-expanding need for data storage as global internet usage expands, with experts predicting 5.3 billion users by 2023. These market factors will be underpinned by technological changes, such as progressing cloud services and edge sites, allowing the industry to see strong expected annual growth of 13% over the next 4 years.
Whilst competitive headwinds remain, represented through the recent second bankruptcy filing of Sungard, which blames “COVID-19 and other macroeconomic trends including delayed customer spending decisions, insourcing and reductions in IT spending, energy inflation and reduction in demand for certain services”, the industry has seen key adjustments, where MCG believes that engineering cost management and technological innovation will be paramount to success.
MCG reports that the more favorable market conditions expected over the next few years, helped by the winding down of pandemic restrictions and a hybrid working environment will be driving market momentum forward. The continuous injection of capital by alternative investment firms, as well as the growing infrastructural investment from cloud service providers and social media companies, whose revenues are expected to grow over 3.6x larger by value in 2026, will likely help propel center provision and innovation. These factors paint a promising picture for the industry players that offset rising input costs and adapt to new technologies.
According to M Capital Group: “Specifically, the long-term cost-saving opportunities available from the rise of remote managing will likely aid value growth for the industry. Through margin optimization and further availability of capital for reinvestment, strong players will maintain their competitive foothold, while weaker players exit the market to balance supply and demand.”
Levelwise PageRank with Loop-Based Dead End Handling Strategy : SHORT REPORT ...Subhajit Sahu
Abstract — Levelwise PageRank is an alternative method of PageRank computation which decomposes the input graph into a directed acyclic block-graph of strongly connected components, and processes them in topological order, one level at a time. This enables calculation for ranks in a distributed fashion without per-iteration communication, unlike the standard method where all vertices are processed in each iteration. It however comes with a precondition of the absence of dead ends in the input graph. Here, the native non-distributed performance of Levelwise PageRank was compared against Monolithic PageRank on a CPU as well as a GPU. To ensure a fair comparison, Monolithic PageRank was also performed on a graph where vertices were split by components. Results indicate that Levelwise PageRank is about as fast as Monolithic PageRank on the CPU, but quite a bit slower on the GPU. Slowdown on the GPU is likely caused by a large submission of small workloads, and expected to be non-issue when the computation is performed on massive graphs.
