The command to "watch" is written about 24 times in the New Testament. What does it mean, why is God concerned that we watch and what happens if we don't?
Someone very wise has said, “You don;t know what you believe until you have to.” Few things tell us more about ourselves or about what we believe about God than tough times.
Everyone has or will face tough times. This message of timeless biblical truths will refresh our minds and hearts no matter where we are in life, especially if we are in a storm so dark and confusing that we feel somewhat helpless to rescue ourselves. If that is you, relax. Our Heavenly Father is already working to make that situation turn out for your good in some mysterious but wonderful way. This is what this message is all about.
Beth starts off the message with a real illustration of how good God is from her life last week!

We have essentially told him that Jesus would give him all the things that would enhance his life. Then when persecution and tribulation comes, he falls away. When life gets hard, he becomes bitter, casting off the Savior and consequently resenting those that had told him the “good news”.

The Bible is very clear as to what our purpose in this life should be. Men in both the Old and New Testaments sought for and discovered life’s purpose. Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, according to scripture, discovered the futility of life when it is lived only for this world. He gives these concluding remarks in the book of Ecclesiastes: 13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil”. - Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

God is the highest definition of all that is good, especially humble unselfishness. How would have ever imagined a God so intensely unselfish as the God of the Bible? he blows my mind in every category! I hope your mind expose with wonder and gratitude as you get to know this God--the only true God--the God Who sent Jesus to rescue a bunch of rebels like us--not because he had to but because He wanted to!
Darwin said, "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.”
Darwin, C. (1872) Origin of Species, 6th ed. (1988), New York University Press, New York, p. 154.
180 years later, his theory has broken down according to his own criteria! There is ABSOLUTELY NOT ONE TRANSITIONAL FOSSIL BETWEEN KINDS OF ANIMALS. DARWIN'S THEORY IS WRONG!
And his ideas have promoted racism and white supremacy more than any other single person worldwide for the past 150 years! Darwin needs to be Dethroned in our scientific and educational systems.
No one has influenced the entire world with "scientific" support for atheism, eugenics, racism and white supremacy more than Charles Darwin! It's time to dethrone him in science and in education.
Besides, his main ideas on evolution have been proven false: Absolutely no fossils to support gradual evolution between kinds of animals and molecular biology and DNA code science conclusively prove that random chance mutations could never have produced the massive complexity of life we now know exists even in one cell. Please challenge his ideas in your scientific and educational commmuities.

In fact, it seems like a contradiction, doesn’t it? An oxymoron: Our loving God sees the death of His beloved children as a blessing. I hope I can explain this scriptural truth well enough to convince you that God has good reasons to see our deaths as a good and precious thing.
I can tell you from personal experience and from the Bible that God is the most wonderful, tender-hearted, and kind Father anyone could imagine.
Experiencing the love of God as your Father is the birthright of every born-again Christian!
It will change your life as it has changed mine!
“They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors.” Neh. 9:2
Why: The Mosaic Covenant!
“But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors—… I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.” Leviticus 26: 40-42
This message is a prophetic word the Lord has given me. Test it.
Jerusalem represents the American Church— all the followers of Jesus
The broken walls of Jerusalem represent the broken moral and spiritual foundations of the Church— broken by many sins in the Church
Through those broken walls, forces of darkness have infiltrated and corrupted the people of God
The book of Nehemiah is a metaphor for how God is rebuilding our spiritual walls and cleansing God’s people in America
God restored Jerusalem in preparation for the coming of Jesus about 450 years later
God is restoring us now in preparation for a huge national and international revival

3:32 / 13:36 Unforgiveness: One of the most Dangerous Sins a Christiain Can ...Abundant Life Fellowship
The sternest, most dramatic warnings against sin by Jesus are in Matthew 6 & 18. It is the sins of unforgiveness!
Protect yourself and your loved ones from this toxic sin!
Learn about the dangers of unforgiveness now. The world is turning against Christians more and more. Be prepared to be offended. Be ready to forgive and to return good for evil. We must! Jesus demands it. It's for our protection. Unforgiveness is a great danger.
Here's why followers of Jesus can have a confidence that is strong, consistent and holy no matter what happens to them in this life.
Video of the slides and a short video illustration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoxEVilDXfU
A message most Christians will not hear often. Some will never hear this in a church today. But persecution is coming to America—ready or not! Jesus promises us persecution. the Bible is full of examples and teaching on our call to suffer as followers of God.
Every person is made for heaven. Heaven is the home of every follower of Jesus. We are aliens here on earth. Jesus came to bring us home to heaven. What is heaven like? What can we expect there? These and other questions are addressed in this message. Live for heaven, Christian! You are headed home to heaven someday, maybe sooner than you think.
The word "God" is used about 4500 times in the Bible. In 99.9% of the time, God refers to the Father. Read these scriptures where the word 'Father' is substituted for 'God' and get a better appreciation for the loving, gentle, Father Every Christian has through faith in Jesus.
Jesus was sent by the Father to bring us back to Him. God wants a close, "Abba" daddy relationship with us like He had with Adam and Eve in the garden. They walked together int he cool of the day—as a close family of a Father and His children.
God wants all of His children to have that kind of relationship with Him. That's why He sent Jesus!
We were created to become children of God, joint-heirs of Jesus who will rule and reign with Him in heaven. Salvation through Jesus is all of that! Get to know Jesus! Glory God no with your lives and prepare yourselves to rule with Jesus forever in heaven!! Don't waste your life just living for earthly things. Prepare for eternity by loving, enjoying and obeying Jesus NOW!

This is a message of comfort. God has BIG plans for all Christians when they get to heaven. He will glorify us in ways we cannot imagine. Look at the biblical proof that God has always planned to do this for all His adopted children who come to Him through faith in Jesus!
Go here to see my comments about how this teaching differs from Mormon false teachings about God and heaven. https://www.alf.church/called-to-be-glorified/
So why do I feel that this message about being adopted by God is so foundational to the normal Christian life?
Because Jesus came to bring us back to the Father. Jesus came to show us the Father. If you’re a Christian and you don’t know the Father, you’re missing one of the main reasons that Jesus came to earth. His death on the cross was just the means to enable us to know the Father and be the adopted as his children.

The Bible and experience confirms that our personalities, values, identity and conscience are largely formed by the family that raised us. We get "spiritual DNA" from our parents and ancestors that can be good and bad. Sin patterns, dysfunctional relationship patterns and coping mechanisms run in families. This is an intro to a huge and important topic that probably should be a series. This is a topic that can open up thinking and family discussions that could help heal and protect your family. This is not a topic most churches talk about but one they need to address due to the increases of sin and dysfunction in American families today.
This is just a short message on the necessity of hearing God's voice for every Christian. God speaks to His children for the same reasons we parents speak to our children: to know who we are, Whose we are and how to live well.
In a world going mad, where can you find more comfort? This message explains how God is totally prepared to comfort His people. Here are some tips to accessing what He has for you. He truly is the God of all comfort!
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

1. Keep Watching
The world is at war. We are in WWIII already—a global, guerrilla war
by Islamic Fundamentalists against all non-Muslims, especially
Christians and Jews.
This is just the modern continuation of what Muhammed started in
Saudi Arabia in the early 600’s. Islam was the greatest military
aggressor against Christianity for 1000 years after the death of
Muhammed. Islam tried to invade Christian Europe three times in that
1000 years—once through Spain and twice via Austria. The Ottoman
turk Empire was finally defeated at the gates of Vienna In September
1683 by the Polish King, John III Sobieski, with his winged Hussar
calvary. The Turks were winning that battle until September 11.
This reality alone will change our world more and more. This global
war will provide all mankind with more reason to seek the ONLY stable
Person in this world: God.
This war will give Christians unparalleled opportunities to demonstrate
the love, compassion, courage and power that God provides to His
children to make Jesus famous!
This is a time to draw closer to God, to get hotter for God, to surrender
all of our lives to God.
This is a time to pay close attention to God.
When the Bible repeats something several times, you know it is
important!
One of the key commands: Keep Watching!
I believe that the Lord told me to warn you today that this command
( imperative mood) is for today for all of us.
We live in dangerous times. Times of great conflict spiritually and
physically. Anything could happen at any time in the world.
2. Keep Watching
1 to watch
2 metaph. give strict attention to, be cautious, active
1 to take heed lest through remission and indolence some
destructive calamity suddenly overtake one
Greek γρηγορέω (grēgoreō),
which occurs 24 times in 22 verses in the Greek concordance
! Mat 24:42: End of world
“Therefore be on the alert, G1127 for you do not know which day your
Lord is coming.
! Mat 24:43: Jesus will come unexpected
“But fnbe sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what
time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the
alert G1127 and would not have allowed his house to be fnbroken into.
! Mat 25:13: 10 Virgins & Wedding Feast
“Be on the alert G1127 then, for you do not know the day nor the
hour.
! Mat 26:41: In Garden
“Keep watching G1127 and praying that you may not enter into
temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
! Mar 13:35; End of World
“Therefore, be on the alert— G1127 for you do not know when the

or when the rooster crows, or in the morning—
! Mar 13:37
“What I say to you I say to all, ‘Be on the alert!’” G1127
3. Keep Watching
! Act 20:31: Paul to a church he founded
“Therefore be on the alert, G1127 remembering that night and day for
a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with
tears.
! 1Co 16:13: Paul to Corinthians
Be on the alert, G1127 stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
! Col 4:2: Paul to Collosians
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert G1127 in it with an attitude
of thanksgiving;
! 1Th 5:6: Paul to Church in Thesolonika
so then let us not sleep as fnothers do, but let us be alert G1127 and
fnsober.
! 1Pe 5:8: Devil looking to devour
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. G1127 Your adversary, the devil,
prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
! Rev 3:2: Spirit to sleepy church
‘Wake G1127 up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were
about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of
My God.
! Rev 3:3: To sinful church
‘So remember fnwhat you have received and heard; and keep it, and
repent. Therefore if you do not wake G1127 up, I will come like a thief,
and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.
! Rev 16:15: To all Christians
(“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who
stays awake G1127 and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk
about naked and men will not see his shame.”)
Why Does God want us spiritually awake?
4. Keep Watching
1. To protect us from evil ( devil, temptation)
2. So we are ready when He comes to visit us. We will lose blessings
if we are not ready ( 5 foolish virgins)
What Does it mean to Be Awake! How do we obey this command
from God so He can bless us greatly as He desires?
1. Don’t be a third soil Christian. Don’t live for the things of this
world. Do not let the “deceitfulness of riches or the cares and
worries of the world” choke out your focus on God and His
Kingdom
1. Instead, obey Matt 6:33: Seek first the Kingdom of God and all
these things shall be added to you—all you need to live and
more!
1. SPEND TIME WITH GOD EVERY MORNING BEFORE
SCHOOL OR WORK. SEEK HIM FIRST! TALK TO HIM
THROUGHOUT THE DAY. MAKE TIME FOR GOD. PUT HIM ON
YOUR DAILY CALENDAR.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SCHEDULED TIME FOR GOD EACH DAY,
WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT HOW IMPORTANT HE IS TO
YOU?
IF WE ONLY SPEND TIME WITH HIM WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT,
WHEN WE HAVE DONE ALL WE WANT TO DO, WE ARE SEEKING
HIM, BUT NOT SEEKING HIM FIRST IN OUR LIVES.
2. ASK GOD FOR HIS WILL AND WISDOM ABOUT
EVERYTHING. HE PROMISES TO GIVE WISDOM IF WE ASK WITH
FAITH. (James 1)
3. SEEK TO ENJOY GOD MORE THAN ANY EARTHLY THING.
IF WE ENJOY GOD A LOT, THE THINGS OF EARTH WILL GROW
STRANGELY DIM IN THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND LOVE—AS
THE SONG SAYS.
5. Keep Watching
2. Be HOT for God: Jesus says that He does not like lukewarm faith.
Speaking to the Laodician Church in the Book of Revelation 3:15-16,
Jesus warns them:
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you
were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor
cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. “
A faith that is lukewarm values the things of this world more than our
relationship with God.
A lukewarm faith is a casual, self-focused faith belonging to someone
who relates to God mainly to have God serve them
A lukewarm faith does not pray much, serve others much or have
much compassion for the lost.
A lukewarm faith lives life as if God was nice to have around but not
as important as what we wanted out of life.
And God is not harsh when He commands this kind of hot attention
from us. Just the opposite.
God’s overriding purposes are always to heal, protect, provide, bless
and enhance our lives as His beloved children.
He has to have us keep our eyes on Him continually to do that.
Our choices to focus our lives on things other than God can limit
God’s desires to bless and protect us.
I am a deep desire to be a protector for my kids—like most dad’s. I
could easily die for any of my children is that would save their lives.
When my kids were small, I told them that they must learn to listen for
my voice and obey me instantly when I needed to warn them of
danger—or I could not protect them.
6. Keep Watching
If we were crossing a street and I yelled “Stop” they had to obey or
they could be injured or killed.
If I saw a danger—like a snake in the grass— that they did not see
and I could not explain it in time to protect them, they had to be paying
attention to to so I could warn them in time.
There are many dangers in this world far worse than a speeding car or
a snake in the grass.
This world has things that can not only kill our bodies, but our joy, our
peace, our wisdom, our hope and even our souls forever. As our
Heavenly Father, God has to have our attention continually in order to
protect and bless us.
God has many children and He wants to use them all to build His
kingdom on earth. He wants to bless others through His children.
When God looks to use someone to do something for Him—to heal
someone, to prophesy to someone, to teach someone— whom does
He chose?
The child who is looking at Him, the child who is paying attention
to Him. The child who is watching Him.
Dear Friends, God has such great plans for each of us and the devil is
prowling around us seeking to ruin our lives as the Bible says. God’s
solution is that we keep watch! That we turn our eyes upon Jesus, that
we wait on the Lord in prayer, that we mediate on His word, that we
worship Him even on our beds, that we invite Him into every situation
of our lives.
God wants us to watch Him so he can watch over us to bless and
protect us—and sue Us to bless and protect others. It’s that simple—
and that critical.
His eye is on the sparrow… but He will help the sparrow more
whose eye is on Him.
