4. • Something God is or does in creation or in heaven that
displays His power, beauty, splendor, or wisdom causing His
creatures to admire, respect, worship, praise, and stand in
awe of Him.
• 225 times in OT: Kavod used 149 times:—heaviness,
importance—as in a weighty matter.
• “And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring
fire on the top of the mount . Ex. 24:17
• For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal
weight of glory far beyond all comparison. 2 Cor. 4:17

His Holiness On Display
• God’s Holiness describes His
infinite perfections of
character, power or purpose.
• God’s glory is the public
demonstration of His holiness
• God’s Glory is the radiance of
His Holiness.
• Is. 6: “Holy, holy, holy is
the Lord Almighty; the whole
earth is full of His glory.”

6. God’s Bottom Line:
His Glory Must Be Revealed
• One of biggest Bible themes: God does everything to
ensure that the Perfections of His Holiness get noticed
and appreciated by His creation.
• “For the sake of My name I delay My wrath, and for My
praise I restrain it for you, In order not to cut you
off.“For My own sake, for My own sake…” Is. 48: 9-11
• But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent,
the stones will cry out!” Luke 19:40

7. God’s Desires Glory
Through His Children
• In Jesus: “We beheld His glory, glory of the only begotten
of the Father full of grace and truth.
• “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in
heaven. Matt. 5:16
• “…For I have made them for my glory. It was I who
created them.’" Is. 43:7

8. Creation Glorifies God
• All Creation: “The heavens
declare the glory of God; the
skies proclaim the work of His
hands. Ps. 19:1
• For by Him all things were
created…all things have been
created through Him and for
Him. (Jesus)
• By scale, complexity, beauty,
unsearchable wisdom and
elegantly-tuned goodness

11. God Longs to Glorify US!
• “The glory that You have given Me I have given to them.
John 17:22
• And we all…are being transformed into the same image ( of Jesus)
from one degree of glory to another. 2 Cor 3:18
• The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of
God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with
Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be
GLORIFIED with him. Rom 8:16-17
• And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also
justified; those He justified, He also glorified. Romans 8:30

12. God Longs to Glorify Us
• As His Sons and daughters
• As brothers & sisters of Jesus
• As the Bride of Jesus
• As heirs of God & joint-heirs of
Jesus
• God gave Jesus ALL power
and authority. We share in
that!

13. Glorified in Heaven
By Working With God
• “His servants will serve Him” (Rev. 22:3)
• "My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I,
too, am working" (John 5:17)
• "His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful
slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in
charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
Matt. 25:23

14. Joint-Heir Cosmic Impact
• For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for
the revealing of the sons of God…in hope that the
creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to
corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of
God. Rom. 8:18-21
• Reigning & ruling with Jesus:
• 1000 yr. in heaven: Rev. 20, 2 Tim. 2:12
• Do you not know that the saints will judge the world
and angels? 1 Cor. 6:2-3

15. Glory That Comforts
• For the Lord Himself will
descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice
of the archangel and with
the trumpet of God, and the dead
in Christ will rise first.
• Then we who are alive and
remain will be caught up together
with them in the clouds to meet
the Lord in the air, and so we
shall always be with the Lord.
• Therefore comfort one another
with these words. 1 Thess. 4:16-17

16. What If….
• One day, God decided to glorify
Himself in other galaxies?
• God called us to work
alongside Him to build other
worlds and civilizations-as
Jesus did?
• God put groups of us in charge
of new Eden-like worlds with
legions of angelic to help?
• Why not? He did with His First-
Born of many brethren— Jesus!

And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.’”
