The KDLU Leadership Institute aims to identify and develop high-potential employees, create diverse teams working towards goals, and strengthen KDL's position as an employer. The program includes a leadership effectiveness analysis, mentoring, classroom sessions, independent study, and experiential learning projects. Participants are current KDL employees nominated through an application process. The inaugural class included 8 participants from various library roles. The program runs from December 2010 through May 2011, with a budget of $11,396. Assessment focuses on determining if the objectives were achieved.
