Jurassic Coast Kate Williams
Where is the Jurassic Coast? The Jurassic Coast is the stretch of land between Exmouth and Swanage, on the South-Coast of England.
Lulworth Cove The erosion processes that are happening at Lulworth Cove are corrosion and hydraulic action. These are 2 of the reasons how the cove formed as at the entrance of the cove there is harder rock, which was possibly eroded because of hydraulic action over a long period of time. The sea then continued to hit the cliff and eroded quicker as that part of the cliff consisted of softer rock. It formed a horseshoe like cove which can be seen today.
Landforms in the Jurassic Coast Lulworth Cove Durdle Door Old Harry Rocks
Erosion Some areas erode quicker then others because of hard and soft rocks. An example of a few hard rocks are; chalk or granite. Soft rocks are sand or clay. They may also erode because of the wind, fetch and type of wave.
