The document announces that the group "Four By Grace" will be leading worship at Gospel Baptist Tabernacle on Sunday, July 24th at 11:00 AM. It then summarizes a story from the book of Acts where Peter preaches to the people about Jesus healing a lame man, saying that through faith in Jesus' name the man was healed. Peter tells the people they rejected and killed Jesus, but God raised him from the dead, and they must repent to have their sins blotted out. It encourages finding blessing through turning from sin and walking in God's way.
1. The document is a sermon given at Gospel Baptist Tabernacle on July 6, 2014 that discusses themes of God's presence in the temple and churches.
2. It references several Bible passages about God dwelling in the temple in a cloud and withdrawing His presence when the Israelites sinned.
3. The sermon warns that churches today can lose God's presence if they grow cold in their love for God, and encourages renewing one's love for God and devotion to His church.

This document summarizes the key characteristics of a fully committed Christian according to the story of blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52. It identifies six characteristics: 1) Having a passionate heart to do God's work. 2) Having the willpower to fight opposition. 3) Knowing how to respond to God's calling. 4) Leaving one's old self behind to embrace their new self in Christ. 5) Loving to dwell in God's presence. 6) Desiring something for God's glory rather than one's own benefit.
1 Chronicles provides instruction for rebuilding the temple and encouraging repentance and devotion to God. It details the command from King Cyrus to rebuild the temple in 538 BC, and the prophet Haggai's message in 520 BC urging the people to complete the rebuilding despite difficulties. Key passages encourage seeking God wholeheartedly in rebuilding the temple and doing so courageously with God's help and the support of priests, Levites and officials. The book highlights important differences from Samuel and Kings, such as details around David's rise and rule.
Manoah's wife told him that an angel had appeared to her and said she would give birth to a son who would be a Nazarite dedicated to God. Manoah prayed that the angel would return to instruct them further. When the angel returned, Manoah asked how they should raise the child. The angel reiterated that the son must not eat or drink anything from the vine and must follow the requirements of a Nazarite. Manoah realized the angel had already given the instructions to his wife.
The document discusses how to "press in and press on" with God through three key points:
1. Know God by understanding his compassionate and forgiving nature as described in scripture.
2. Develop a heart like Caleb that is wholly committed to following God no matter the obstacles, as Caleb demonstrated loyalty and vigor to God until old age.
3. Have a hunger and thirst for God through obedience, as emphasized in passages encouraging people to come to God and heed his words in order to find fulfillment and receive blessings, rather than relying on their own efforts.

Caleb asks Joshua for the mountain that God promised him 45 years earlier when they had spied out the land of Canaan. Caleb reminds Joshua that at 85 years old, he is still as strong as he was when Moses first sent him. He has faith that with God's help, he will be able to drive out the people living in the cities on the mountain. Joshua blesses Caleb and gives him Hebron as his inheritance, because Caleb had wholly followed the Lord.
Joshua 7:1-26 describes how the Israelites were defeated when they attacked Ai after previously defeating Jericho. God revealed that there was sin in the camp, as Achan had taken some devoted items. Joshua had the Israelites come before the Lord tribe by tribe to find the guilty party. Achan confessed to taking a robe, silver, and gold that were devoted to destruction. As punishment, Achan, his family, animals, and possessions were destroyed. The Israelites learned they must fully depend on God and obey his commands to be victorious.
Joshua and the Israelites were instructed by God to march around Jericho once a day for six days and seven times on the seventh day, blowing rams' horns. On the seventh day, when they blew the horns and shouted, the walls of Jericho fell down, giving the Israelites victory over the city without losing a man in battle. The story shows that God's ways are not man's ways, and that obeying God and praising Him through worship and shouting led to the city's defeat.
The document summarizes Psalm 19, noting that it marvels at God's glory seen in creation and in his word. It divides the Psalm into three sections: 1) verses 1-6 focus on God's glory declared by the heavens, 2) verses 7-11 describe the perfection and benefits of God's law, and 3) verse 12 recognizes humans' need for forgiveness and knowledge of self through prayer. The overall message is that studying both God's work of creation and word allows us to better understand his glory and our need for him.
1) Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord and took twelve stones representing the twelve tribes of Israel before praying. He also arranged wood and poured water on the altar.
2) Elijah stepped forward and prayed, asking God to show that He is God and that Elijah is His servant.
3) Before praying, Elijah ensured the people and altar were properly prepared so God could answer and the people would know He is Lord.

The document provides a summary of Judges 6, which tells the story of Gideon. It describes how the Israelites were oppressed by Midian for seven years due to their disobedience. God calls Gideon to save Israel from Midian despite Gideon's doubts and weakness. Gideon asks God for two signs by putting fleece on the ground to confirm God's calling. God provides the signs. Gideon then destroys the altar of Baal and leads an army of 300 men to defeat the Midianites, showing that God was with them.
This document provides excerpts from the Bible discussing monotheism. It includes passages from Isaiah 44 describing how God chose Israel and will help them, pouring out blessings. It discusses how the Lord is the first and last, the only God, and how those who make idols will be ashamed. The excerpts condemn idol worship and praise God as the redeemer of Israel.
The document discusses three main points about living according to the gospel:
1. Be authentic and faithful to God, just as Jesus and Moses were faithful.
2. Belong to God's house and help build a sense of belonging among one another.
3. Keep faith simple by not hardening your heart through sin or unbelief, which prevents entering God's rest.
This passage describes a vision Ezekiel receives from God showing the idolatrous practices happening in the temple in Jerusalem. In the vision, Ezekiel is taken by the Spirit to the temple where he sees various forms of idolatry, including people worshipping idols, women mourning the death of the pagan god Tammuz, and men bowing to the rising sun with their backs turned towards the temple. God expresses his anger over his people committing idolatry and filling the temple with unclean images, showing that their priority is on other gods instead of the Lord.
David sinned greatly by committing adultery with Bathsheba and arranging for her husband Uriah to be killed. As a result, the prophet Nathan confronted David about his sins. David acknowledged his wrongdoing. Though God forgave David, the consequences of his actions remained. David wrote Psalm 51 expressing remorse, pleading for forgiveness, and vowing to walk faithfully with God going forward.

Gideon the Judge discusses a Bible study on the story of Gideon from the book of Judges. It provides context on the time period of the judges in Israel, introduces Gideon and his family, and outlines the study which will cover God raising Gideon as a mighty man of valor to deliver Israel from the Midianites. The document gives details from the biblical account of Gideon pulling down Baal's altar, gathering an army, God reducing the army to 300 men, and Gideon's eventual victory over the Midianites.
The Israelites were being oppressed by their enemies, but God called a deliverer to save them. Gideon doubted that he could save Israel as he felt weak and alone. God assured Gideon that he would defeat Israel's enemies as if they were one man because God would be with him. To confirm this, God performed a sign by consuming a sacrifice with fire from a rock. Though frightened by his encounter with an angel of God, Gideon built an altar and worshipped God as the God of peace.
David inquired of the Lord about whether to help the people of Keilah who were being attacked by the Philistines. The Lord told David to go and help them. David and his men succeeded in driving off the Philistines. However, Saul learned of David's location and planned to besiege the town to capture David. When David inquired of the Lord, he was told that the men of Keilah would betray him by handing him over to Saul.

When David inquired of the Lord, he was told that the men of Keilah would betray him by handing him over to Saul.
God called Gideon to deliver Israel from the Midianites. Gideon's army was originally 32,000 men but God said this was too many so that Israel would not take credit for their victory. God reduced the army to 300 men by having them drink water in different ways. With just 300 men, God delivered the Midianites into Gideon's hand by his power alone. This story teaches the importance of acknowledging God for victories and blessings rather than taking credit ourselves.
1. Discernment in judgment requires technique to judge without destroying, such as treating elders as fathers and younger men as brothers, having compassion for some while saving others with fear.
2. Discernment is not instantaneous at salvation but develops as one's senses are exercised to discern good and evil through use.
3. Righteous works do not equal righteousness, as false prophets can perform works but are not known by God.
4. As children of the king, judges are to do right and judge righteously without respect of persons.
This document provides a summary of Judges 6, which recounts the story of Gideon. It discusses how Gideon, though fearful, was called by God to save Israel from the Midianites. Gideon asked God for signs to confirm his calling, including putting out a fleece both times receiving confirmation. Gideon then recruited an army and, with God's help, defeated the Midianites with only 300 men. The document examines lessons from Gideon's story, including when it may be appropriate to seek signs from God and when it constitutes putting God to the test.
This document recounts the biblical story of David volunteering to fight Goliath after the Philistine giant defied the armies of Israel. It describes how David's oldest brother Eliab angrily confronts him for coming to the battlefield. However, David remains calm and refuses to retaliate against his brother. The document encourages having faith that God can use small churches and ordinary people to accomplish great things through His power.
This document summarizes the sermon given at Gospel Baptist Tabernacle on October 20, 2013. The sermon focused on 2 Samuel 22, which describes King David's song of praise to God for delivering him from his enemies and making him victorious. The sermon emphasized that God will be all that people need, just as he was for David, by saving those who need a savior, providing for those in need, and comforting those who are grieving, as long as people fully commit to seeking God with their whole heart.
Become The Person God Wants You To Be,Become A Cell Leader In The Church Sept...Edward John Bucles
This document discusses how to become a leader that God wants you to be through the example of Gideon from the book of Judges. It outlines four steps: 1) yield to God's call to be a leader, 2) build an altar to God by prioritizing worship over other commitments, 3) follow God's changes by transforming your character, and 4) maintain a growing faith through challenges that strengthen it. The conclusion states that deliverance from oppression in the Philippines depends on Christians obeying God by becoming leaders in his kingdom.
The document appears to be a quiz or game where the reader is prompted with questions like "Who am I?" and "What did/do I do?". It includes various Bible passages about idols and not worshipping false gods. A key message is that idols can lead people astray from God and make them "idle" or inactive in their faith. The document encourages avoiding assimilation and instead focusing one's trust only in God.
This week's sermon focuses on the tall end of Hebrews chapter 11 which gives a catalog of many of the great Old Testament heroes, mostly from the Book of Judges and the early monarchy. In this study we see that great heroes of the faith often had bad starts and shaky middles, but ultimately finished strong.
This document is a magazine issue focused on faithfulness in the family. It contains several articles on topics related to the role of godly men in the family including an article titled "Dare to Be a Man of God" that recounts the biblical story of Gideon and lessons that can be learned from how God called and empowered him. The issue also includes articles on leading family worship through Bible reading and the importance of godly male role models.
The Israelites made a treaty with the Gibeonites without seeking God's counsel. This allowed enemies of God to live among the Israelites. As a result, the Gibeonites were cursed to serve the Israelites by hewing wood and drawing water. However, over time God showed grace and the Gibeonites' curse became a blessing as they helped the Israelites. We should learn from this that we must seek God in all things, but also that God can bring good from our mistakes through His grace.
This document is a sermon delivered by Olumba Olumba Obu addressing the sin of fornication. It makes three key points:
1) Fornication defiles the body which is meant to be the temple for God's spirit. It drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden and caused many Israelites to die.
2) All troubles in the world stem from fornication. No other sin has disappointed and angered God more.
3) To abstain from fornication and keep one's body pure is the only thing God requires, as the human body is where God's spirit dwells. One must flee fornication to have fellowship with God.
The document discusses the importance of good leadership in families, nations, and churches based on events in the Book of Judges. It describes how without Joshua's leadership after his death, every person did what was right in their own eyes, leading Israel into idolatry and chaos. It emphasizes that families, nations, and churches all require godly leadership and submission to authority to function properly and avoid sin and confusion.
Joshua called the Israelites to remind them of all God had done for them in giving them rest from their enemies and dividing the promised land among their tribes. He urged them to have courage and be faithful to fully obey all that is written in God's law, without turning to the right or left, as God would continue to fight for them and drive out the remaining nations as they took possession of the land. Living the faithful life God calls them to requires courage to obey His word in every situation and trust that He will provide for all their needs.
The document discusses the importance of being reverent towards God. It provides examples from the Bible of people who exhibited reverence, even in difficult circumstances, and the blessings they received. These include Joseph, who remained obedient to God despite unjust treatment; Job, who maintained his faith during intense suffering; Daniel, who stayed true to his beliefs amid pressure and persecution; and Ananias, who obeyed God even when he did not understand God's plans. The document emphasizes that true reverence involves admiration, obedience, and fear of God, not just one of these qualities alone. It encourages readers to develop reverence so they can experience God fully.
The document is a sermon about idolatry based on Exodus 20:1-6. It discusses how idol worship involves making, selling, buying, or bowing before graven images. Idol worship is defined as hating God and sin. The sermon warns that God is a jealous God who will punish idolatry for generations, but shows mercy to those who love and obey Him by acknowledging Him as their redeemer and savior from sin.
This document provides an introduction to a book titled "The Illimitable God" by Joses Hizkiah. It discusses how God's power is unlimited and he is never limited in what he can do for his children. However, people sometimes limit God by putting boundaries on what they believe he can do through unbelief, sin, erroneous thinking and forgetting his past works. The document uses examples from the Bible where the Israelites limited God in similar ways when doubting his ability to give them victory in battle or provide for them. It emphasizes that God can do far more than we could ever ask or imagine if we have faith in his limitless capabilities.
1) Elisha prophesied that food prices in Samaria would return to normal by the next day, despite a famine.
2) Four leprous men at the gate of Samaria decided to seek food from the camp of the Syrian army besieging the city, finding it abandoned with food and supplies left behind.
3) The men informed the king of Israel about the empty Syrian camp, fulfilling Elisha's prophecy as the people of Samaria could now leave the city to gather supplies, returning food prices to normal. The lord who doubted Elisha's prophecy was trampled to death at the city gate as predicted.
1. The document is a sermon discussing 2 Peter 2 and warning about people who ignore God's commands and lead others astray for their own desires.
2. It discusses false teachers who promise freedom from rules but instead lead people into bondage to sinful desires and pleasures.
3. The sermon warns that those who know God's truth but choose to return to sinful ways will find themselves in an even worse situation than before they knew the truth.
1. Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army, was afflicted with leprosy. A young Israelite servant girl suggested he visit the prophet Elisha in Israel to be healed.
2. Elisha instructed Naaman to wash seven times in the Jordan River. Angry at first, Naaman followed the instruction and was healed of his leprosy.
3. Naaman wanted to repay Elisha, but Elisha refused payment. Later, Elisha's servant Gehazi lied to receive gifts from Naaman and was then afflicted with leprosy as punishment.
This document contains excerpts from the Bible and commentary on several passages. It discusses false prophets and teachers who bring destructive heresies and reject Jesus. It warns that many people will follow these ways and that God will condemn those who do not believe the truth. The document also mentions that the misdeeds of a corrupt world will trouble righteous people and that sinners and corrupt people in the church will face punishment and perish in their own corruption. It encourages remembering leaders who have taught God's word.
This document is the bulletin from Gospel Baptist Tabernacle providing information about their church services and location. It includes several Bible verses encouraging believers to diligently follow God with their whole heart through obeying His word and teachings. The pastor intends to continue reminding the congregation of these teachings so they will remember and practice them even after he is gone, as following the teachings is how they are remembered and passed on to others. The document emphasizes the importance of believers having open ears to hear God's word preached through the Holy Spirit.
This document contains the text of a sermon given by a pastor. The sermon discusses 2 Peter 1:5-10, which talks about adding virtues like faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, kindness, and love to one's life. It encourages believers to diligently pursue these qualities through worship, prayer, and study rather than waiting for them to come passively. It warns that lacking these virtues leads to spiritual blindness and barrenness, and urges believers to make their salvation sure by cultivating these traits in their daily lives.
This document contains a series of passages from the Bible discussing various topics. It begins with details about a church in Rossville, GA and includes passages about a widow with two sons in debt and on the verge of being enslaved to pay off debts, and how the prophet Elisha helped her. It also discusses a wealthy woman in Shunem who showed hospitality to Elisha, even building him a private room in her home, and how Elisha blessed her with a child later in life as she and her husband were already old. The document emphasizes themes of hospitality, generosity, contentment, and God providing for those who have faith in Him.
This document appears to be notes from a sermon or bible study. It includes biblical passages from 2 Peter 1, definitions of biblical terms like "grace" and "peace", and commentary on living a virtuous life through faith and knowledge of God. The notes encourage developing a gracious heart through divine influence and escaping the corruption of the world by submitting to God's goodness.
1. The kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom joined forces to attack Moab but ran out of water in the wilderness. They called upon the prophet Elisha for help.
2. Elisha told them God would fill the valley with water and also deliver the Moabites into their hands. They dug ditches as instructed and God provided water, though there was no wind or rain.
3. The next morning, the Moabites saw the water across from them as red as blood, assuming their enemies had killed each other. When they went to plunder the camp, the Israelite army defeated them soundly as God had promised.
The document is a sermon about virtues in women based on passages from Proverbs 31. It discusses the virtues of a virtuous woman, including that she works hard and takes care of her household and family, is generous to those in need, and speaks with wisdom. It notes that true virtue is valuable and scarce, and that a virtuous person works diligently rather than being lazy. It concludes by saying virtue should be desired in all people, not just women, and that practicing good virtues requires hard work beyond just believing them.
The document contains passages from the Bible discussing King Jehoram of Israel, Elisha the prophet, and the use of music in worship. It summarizes that King Jehoram went to war against Moab but there was no water for his army, so he consulted Elisha for help. Elisha told the king to bring a minstrel to play music, and when he did the hand of God came upon Elisha and he was able to provide water for the army. It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Protector & Destroyer: Agni Dev (The Hindu God of Fire)Exotic India
So let us turn the pages of ancient Indian literature and get to know more about Agni, the mighty purifier of all things, worshipped in Indian culture as a God since the Vedic time.
The Book of Samuel is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books in the Old Testament. The book is part of the Deuteronomistic history, a series of books that constitute a theological history of the Israelites and that aim to explain God's law for Israel under the guidance of the prophets.
1. Throw down the false gods in your life. Trust and serve the True and Living God and Him alone .
2. God has chosen Gideon to lead the Israelites in this time of oppression by the Midianites, And to deliver them with a great victory . Gideon was not a man we would have chosen. He had no confidence -- self or any other. He was from an unimportant family , And he was the least in that family. He had no qualities for leadership that anyone would see him as a deliverer.
3. That is why God chose him. No man would get any glory for destroying the Midianites. 2 Timothy 4 18 … To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
4. 25 And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it: God orders our steps .
5. People often think that God gives general directions , but we have to figure out how to get there. That concept is not found in Scripture. It comes from the pride of man . To faithfully serve God , we must live and walk in the Power and Wisdom of His Spirit.
6. Psalms 16 (NIV) 2 I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing." We can't manifest God's character unless His Spirit produces it in us. Galatians 5 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. These are not traits of successful men or women in this world. They are essential in the Kingdom of God.
7. First God chose an unlikely man to deliver Israel, And then He gave an unlikely command to raise him to leadership and bring that victory. 25b "Throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:" Gideon's daddy was an idolater, and all the people in that clan were idolaters. Talk about making a bunch of people mad , Just take away their idols .
8. Preach against those things which they have raised above serving God. Anything we raise above doing what God has called and gifted us to do, Is an idol unto us. Not Thy Will, but mine be done.
9. 26 And build an altar unto the Lord thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock , and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down. Tear down Baal's altar. Build an altar unto God.
10. It's not enough to tear down the evil; We must also build the good . We must not worship false gods; We must worship the True and Living God. Don't set our eyes on the things of this world ; Set our eyes on the things of God.
11. 27 Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the Lord had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
12.
13. 28 And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built. 29 And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.
14. Gideon secretly tore down the false gods, But it could not remain a secret. Gideon had to secretly tear down these altars, Or he would have been stopped . But God wanted everyone to know who did it. If more than one knows a thing, it will get out.
15. God was raising up an unlikely man with an unlikely command to lead these people. They would follow Gideon in spite of their anger against him. They thought of him as weak and ineffectual. But God was proving him to be a leader.
16. God doesn't choose those who can do things on their own to do His Work. They would take the glory ! God chooses those who will depend on Him. Look what I did for the American people. I created jobs.
17.
