Senior Programmer4Analyst III
I was hired by Arkansas Federal Credit Union to write a Direct Lending system that takes a
loan application from a production application processing system and apply credit lending
rules to evaluate the loan application to see if it falls within credit guidelines. If the
application is within credit guidelines and spending limits the system creates a loan on the
core Credit Union loan processing system. The user interface for the loan application was
written in Java SWT. The backend programs that write to the core processing system was
written using APEX message calls (XML messages using c#) to format the application
data. General maintenance work is also a job requirement.
Accomplishments:
• Development of business requirements document to outline the core system design,
database design and data collection processing requirements
• SQL server Database setup for development and production environments
• Design and development of Java and c# application for processing loan applications
and credit criteria validation
• Testing and user support for production implementation of new Direct Lending
application processing system.

Created programming specifications for rewrite of a Direct Lending credit application

Tasked with the management and oversight of 13 in house developers (7 C# and 6 FoxPro),
a 7-person development team offshore for current development and maintenance (C# and
Foxpro), and 4 developers offshore working on a rewrite of existing systems. Performed
reviews of business requirements and programming specifications for new development.
Reported to internal management on the progress of various projects on a bi-weekly basis.
Accomplishments:
• Oversight and implementation of 3 major software releases of administrative
systems (Spring, Summer and Fall).
• Implemented system changes to upgrade PCI compliance to insure that the
company could upgrade their certification status with the debit card vendor (Master
Card) in order to take advantage of developing business opportunities.
• Organized a committee to oversee the input and prioritization of maintenance
requests that came from internal and external customers.
• Implemented and helped test an in-house development project to improve the
change control process for our Foxpro customers (administration customers) so that
we could streamline code fixes and enhancements.
• Organized weekly meetings with an offshore company to balance workload for

This job was a 3-month development contract through Arkansas Data Services in
Conway, Arkansas. Most of the time was spent enhancing a set of credit card processing
programs to change file processing to stored procedures and add several new clients to
the program. I also added functionality for an additional credit card entity.

iSeries (AS400’s – Production, Lab, and High Availability) including applying PTF’s,
upgrades to disk and tape drives, and contacting IBM for problem troubleshooting and

allocation of resources, communication to internal/external resources and business
partners. Developed strategic project visions and worked with the business units to
implement ideal solutions. Responsible for minimizing exposure and risk on projects and
reported progress to Management on a weekly basis. Also performed a technical role in
addition to the management role in order to see projects through to a successful
conclusion. Heavily involved in hiring and staff development.
Accomplishments:
• Participated in 2 upgrades to McKesson Series upgrades to retrofit code and keep
us on the most current release of the software
• Worked on a Meaningful Use project to implement Electronic Heath Records to
comply with new regulations to standardize electronic health information between
health care providers across the nation. The work done in year 1 (2010) netted the
hospital 3 million dollars
• Participated in the rewrite of our Human Resources application for internal
management. The areas affected were reviews, document scanning (developed
in-house), payroll maintenance for raises and bonuses, counseling forms, and
application processing for new hires and transfers within the company.
• Participated in the rewrite of a new Back-Office scanning solution. This enabled
Human Resources, Risk Management and Accounting to scan and retrieve
documents from a GUI interface by hitting a function key on a green screen.
