Strategic Account Manager / Business Development
Manage seven contract accounts in the refining, chemical and E&C business sectors. Products under
contract consist of pipe, valves, fittings, mill supplies, safety supplies & tools. Typical responsibilities are to
work with servicing branches to ensure contract compliance and profitability. Work with customers to grow
business inside contract guidelines, manage contract pricing, promote new products & processes & act as the
representative between companies. In regard to business development I work with branches in various
regions to identify and pursue new business with corporate support.

Vice President Sales – Gulf Coast Region
National Accounts Sales Manager
Develop and support a network of Distributors and Representatives for the West Coast, Gulf Coast and
Southeastern United States. Find and pursue projects for pipeline, offshore and subsea applications working
with end user and E&C companies. Initiate and complete end user approvals for Valbart TMBV’s. Coordinate
projects, both International and domestic with the manufacturing plant and regional Sales Representatives.
Provide assistance to customers with any valve performance issues that may arise including diagnosis and
recommend solutions in coordination with the factory.
Red Man Pipe & Supply Company
September 2005 – August 2008
Manager - Corporate Capital Projects
Build and develop a process to facilitate the handling of project quotations from end user and E&C companies
including an in-house program designed to track projects while capturing multiple data for information sharing
and reporting. This position required me to work with all stores and management at all levels within the
company. Coordinate between sales, customer, product managers and our manufacturers. Develop strategy
to approach the bids, analyze the market for the region and solicit input from all involved on select projects.
Supervise 13 people including Project Sales, Quotation Analysts and Expeditor's. Our normal market
consisted of domestic customers and international project quotations. By the end of 2006 the team secured
47 million dollars of business in its first year. By august of 2008 the team had sold in excess of 60 million
dollars and was on target to secure over 70 million dollars by the end of 2008.
Red Man Pipe & Supply Company
October 2001 - August 2005
Outside Sales
Responsibilities included account responsibility ranging from end users to E&C's. Achievements included
beginning relationships with Bechtel, Fluor, Mustang Engineering and Dow E&CS. I was able to bring these
accounts from zero business to viable and consistent project accounts for Red Man. I was also successful
with The Kerr McGee Constitution project which lead to project involvement of several additional projects. My
strongest suit was to develop new accounts or repair relationships that were damaged. This job required me
to work with management at all levels and inside sales personnel.
Red Man Pipe & Supply Company
July 1996 - September 2001
Store Manager - Freeport, Texas
Responsibilities included the sales and operation of the daily store operations. I took over a store that was
struggling and restored it to a small but profitable operation. When we received the Phillips contract in 1997 I
was responsible for the development and implementation of Red Man's first major integrated supply
partnership. The Phillips Sweeny Complex was the pilot for all processes implemented. Within two years,
after the completion of the major new construction projects the site transitioned to a self sustaining on site
operation at the end of 2000. Due to creating the sustained on site operation I decided that the Freeport
location should be closed as the store was no longer needed to support the efforts of our Phillips business
and the remaining two major end users were in contract agreements with other suppliers.

Store Manager - Freeport, Texas
I took over a struggling store and increased our average sales by 5 times what they were when I arrived. I
was responsible for sales and operations of the branch.
Vinson Supply Company
I worked project quotations and served as assistant store manager in Freeport, Texas.
Gulf Supply Company
I held positions in inside sales - Projects, warehouse manager and inside sales manager.
*I have also worked for Fish Engineering which is where I received my start in the industry in 1977 and
worked as a contract buyer for Dow Engineering for several U.S. plant locations and international small
projects.
