Led a team of 800 Field, Geology, Production Engineering and Reservoir Engineering personnel in the
corporate office and 9 field locations. Responsible for 16% of Chesapeake’s 2014 D&C Capex program, 22% of
2014 daily production, 40% of producing well count and 65% of Non-Op well count.
 Divested non-core assets eliminating obligation drilling – Cut Capex 52% over 2013 and generated
$710MM in free cashflow while holding year-over-year production rate flat.
 Implemented competitive capital allocation and quarterly review processes for work-over
program - Reduced base production decline by 3.1 percentage points.
 Implemented behavior based safety program - Reduced OSHA Recordable Rate by 73%.
 Implemented preventative maintenance and winterization programs - Reduced winter non-productive
time by 24%, cut agency reportable spills by 11% and total released volumes by 44%.
 Reduced Miss Lime Capex per BOE of reserves by 47% and lease operating expense by 50%
Resource Development Manager, Oklahoma City, OK 2013
Led team of 12 Reservoir Engineers. Responsible for Haynesville and Barnett Districts’ reservoir engineering,
infill development program planning, asset evaluation and Barnett and East Texas divestiture analysis and
data room.
 Developed work-over program quarterly review process.
 Led team in development of type curve data base for competitive capital allocation process.
 Selected for Chesapeake Transformation Leadership Team during 2013 re-organization - Recommended a
new structure which split completion and production engineering roles and focused man-power on
reducing base decline and lease operating expense.
Operations Manager, Shreveport, LA 2011 to 2013
Led a team of 170 employees and consultants in 3 field offices. Responsible for completions for a 34 drilling
rig Haynesville Shale program and production operations for 750+ Haynesville and 1021 legacy wells.
 Developed standard operating procedures; reduced well costs for development program wells 31%
below HBP program wells. Achieved and maintained a 0.0 OSHA Recordable Rate.
 Minimized contract labor and implemented operate-by-exception practices reducing lease operating
expense from $0.32 to $0.17/mcf.
 Increased Haynesville production from 1.5 to 2.0 BCFPD in 7 months.

Led multi-disciplinary team of Land, Geology, Regulatory, Drilling and Completions for 12 rig Marcellus Shale
and Utica drilling programs. Responsible for completion and production engineering for Marcellus Shale and
Utica assets. Co-Authored Marcellus Shale Coalition’s Well Completion, Work-Over and Production

BJ SERVICES COMPANY, Houston, TX 1993 to 2008
Project Manager, BlueFieldSM Services, Midland, TX 2006 to 2008
Managed start-up of division to apply advanced technology in remedial and work-over programs for mature
fields. Developed cement, acid, fracturing coil tubing and remedial programs for oil and gas producers in East
Texas and Permian Basin waterfloods. Developed accelerated development training program for engineers.
Worked with BJ Services Mechanical Engineering and vendors to design and build purpose-built equipment.
Designed Conformance and Water Shut-off treatment system, computer model and equipment.
District Manager, Hobbs, NM 2002 to 2006
Led a team of professionals to maximize district profit, promote safety, maintain facilities and equipment and
provide quality products and services to customers. Managed team of 100 employees and 86 service units,
budgeting, hiring, employee development, retention and achievement of district goals. Improved OSHA
Recordable Rate from 11.2 to 0.0. Improved “Best District” score from bottom 4 to top 10 of 45 districts.
Increased revenue from $1.2MM per month to $6.5MM per month. Tripled district profit margin.
District Engineer, Odessa, TX 1998 to 2002
Supervised a team of 15 professionals to reduce costs, promote safety, provide quality products and services
to customers and optimize future job designs. Mentored 18 of the company’s 130 Associate Engineering
trainees. Responsible for cement, acid, fracturing and remedial job design and procedures, quality control
and evaluation, employee training and consultation with customers. Performed only known 2-stage foam
cement job. Set quality control standards for Permian Basin which were adopted company wide.
Alliance Engineer, Midland, TX 1994 to 1998
Provided in-house engineering consultation for Conoco, Chevron, Marathon, Pennzoil and Enron Oil & Gas in
the Permian Basin, Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountains. Designed completion, work-over, cement, acid,
fracturing, coil tubing and remedial treatment procedures, evaluated performance and optimized future
designs. Utilized system analysis modeling tools, well test analysis tools, ECD modeling and 3D fracture
modeling to increase production rates, decrease decline rates and reduce operating costs.
Field Engineer, Midland, TX 1994
Provided engineering support for Permian Basin Region. Responsibilities included design of cement, acid,
fracturing and remedial treatment procedures and post treatment modeling, evaluation and optimization.
Associate Engineer, Odessa, TX 1993
Intensive 1 year training program and classes at BJ Services training facility in Tomball, TX. Performed job
monitoring and analysis, quality control and design of cement and stimulation pumping services.

Responsible for completions for a 34 drilling rig Haynesville Shale program and production operations for 750+ Haynesville and 1021 legacy wells.  Developed standard operating procedures; reduced well costs for development program wells 31% below HBP program wells. Achieved and maintained a 0.0 OSHA Recordable Rate.  Minimized contract labor and implemented operate-by-exception practices reducing lease operating expense from $0.32 to $0.17/mcf.  Increased Haynesville production from 1.5 to 2.0 BCFPD in 7 months.

Responsible for completion and production engineering for Marcellus Shale and Utica assets. Co-Authored Marcellus Shale Coalition’s Well Completion, Work-Over and Production Operations Best Practices. Developed cement, acid, fracturing coil tubing and remedial programs for oil and gas producers in East Texas and Permian Basin waterfloods. Developed accelerated development training program for engineers. Worked with BJ Services Mechanical Engineering and vendors to design and build purpose-built equipment. Designed Conformance and Water Shut-off treatment system, computer model and equipment. District Manager, Hobbs, NM 2002 to 2006 Led a team of professionals to maximize district profit, promote safety, maintain facilities and equipment and provide quality products and services to customers. Managed team of 100 employees and 86 service units, budgeting, hiring, employee development, retention and achievement of district goals. Improved OSHA Recordable Rate from 11.2 to 0.0. Improved “Best District” score from bottom 4 to top 10 of 45 districts. Increased revenue from $1.2MM per month to $6.5MM per month. Tripled district profit margin. District Engineer, Odessa, TX 1998 to 2002 Supervised a team of 15 professionals to reduce costs, promote safety, provide quality products and services to customers and optimize future job designs. Mentored 18 of the company’s 130 Associate Engineering trainees. Responsible for cement, acid, fracturing and remedial job design and procedures, quality control and evaluation, employee training and consultation with customers. Performed only known 2-stage foam cement job. Set quality control standards for Permian Basin which were adopted company wide. Alliance Engineer, Midland, TX 1994 to 1998 Provided in-house engineering consultation for Conoco, Chevron, Marathon, Pennzoil and Enron Oil & Gas in the Permian Basin, Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountains. Designed completion, work-over, cement, acid, fracturing, coil tubing and remedial treatment procedures, evaluated performance and optimized future designs. Utilized system analysis modeling tools, well test analysis tools, ECD modeling and 3D fracture modeling to increase production rates, decrease decline rates and reduce operating costs. Field Engineer, Midland, TX 1994 Provided engineering support for Permian Basin Region. Responsibilities included design of cement, acid, fracturing and remedial treatment procedures and post treatment modeling, evaluation and optimization.
