JK Tyre offers deep tread and standard tread tyres for rugged
mining, rock excavation and port operations.
FITMENT SURVEY OF PASSENGER CAR SEGMENT
Total Passenger Car Sample – 200
BRAND WISE PRESENCE OF JK TYRE IN THE MARKET
Findings & Analysis
In overall survey among all the dealers visited 90% dealers deals with Multi brand & 10%
dealers deals with single brand-Exclusive dealer of J.K.Tyre.
Among all the brands most preferred brand in Passenger car segment is MRF with 32%,
followed by Bridgestone with 27% & J.K with 21%. Apollo has 9%, Ceat has 5%.
Michelin , yokohama & Birla has almost negligible presence in these areas in Passenger car
market.
 Among all the dealers of all areas, 48% dealers are Not satisfied with J.K. Satisfaction is
too low in PCR market for J.K. satisfied dealers are of 16%, & less satisfied are 36%.
SUGGESTIONS
 Maintain the assured quality through manufacturing process as well as R&D.
 Dealers training to check the tyres whether the problem lies in it, whether it is a
manufacturing defect or get defected due to user handling.
 Train the dealers about the technical aspects of wheel alignment process,
balancing as well as how to deal with this type of problems.
 The company should provide booklet or leaflets regarding the do’s & don’t.
 The company should have to do more promotion about their tyres in mainly
suburban areas like in Hooghly dist, where peoples are unaware about the quality
of J.K tyres.
CONCLUSION
 In Passenger market J.K tyre’s presence is very low compare to MRF &
Bridgestone.
 Brand awareness of J.K.Tyre is very low in Kolkata as well as in the
suburban areas in Passenger car segment.
 The OTR(Off the Road) segment’s presence is much low rather than
Goodyear, MRF.
 Problems regarding Claim settlement.
 Margin Problem.

Findings & Analysis In overall survey among all the dealers visited 90% dealers deals with Multi brand & 10% dealers deals with single brand-Exclusive dealer of J.K.Tyre. Among all the brands most preferred brand in Passenger car segment is MRF with 32%, followed by Bridgestone with 27% & J.K with 21%. Apollo has 9%, Ceat has 5%. Michelin , yokohama & Birla has almost negligible presence in these areas in Passenger car market.  Among all the dealers of all areas, 48% dealers are Not satisfied with J.K. Satisfaction is too low in PCR market for J.K. satisfied dealers are of 16%, & less satisfied are 36%.

SUGGESTIONS  Maintain the assured quality through manufacturing process as well as R&D.  Dealers training to check the tyres whether the problem lies in it, whether it is a manufacturing defect or get defected due to user handling.  Train the dealers about the technical aspects of wheel alignment process, balancing as well as how to deal with this type of problems.  The company should provide booklet or leaflets regarding the do’s & don’t.  The company should have to do more promotion about their tyres in mainly suburban areas like in Hooghly dist, where peoples are unaware about the quality of J.K tyres.

CONCLUSION  In Passenger market J.K tyre’s presence is very low compare to MRF & Bridgestone.  Brand awareness of J.K.Tyre is very low in Kolkata as well as in the suburban areas in Passenger car segment.  The OTR(Off the Road) segment’s presence is much low rather than Goodyear, MRF.  Problems regarding Claim settlement.  Margin Problem.
