What is jetlag ?
• Jet lag is a temporary disorder
caused by travelling a long distance
across different time zones. The
cause of jet lag is the inability of the
body of a traveller to immediately
adjust to the time in a different zone
.
Symptoms of jet lag
• The symptoms of jet lag
• Sleepiness
• Headache
• fatique
• Memory loss
Cause ?
• Jet lag is a chronobiological problem, similar
to issues often induced by shift work and the
circadian rhythm sleep disorders. When
travelling across a number of time zones,
the body clock (circadian rhythm) will be out
of synchronisation with the destination time .
Cause ?
• The body's natural pattern is upset, as the
rhythms that dictate times for eating,
sleeping, hormone regulation, body
temperature variations, and other functions
no longer correspond to the environment, nor
to each other in some cases. To the degree
that the body cannot immediately realign
these rhythms, it is jet lag .
Effect of jet lag ?
• Jet lag may affect the mental health of
vulnerable individuals. When travelling across
time zones, there is a "phase-shift of body
temperature, rapid-eye-movement sleep,
melatonin production, and other circadian
rhythms .
Cure of jet lag
• Deep sleep .
• Yoga .
• Exercise .
• Certain drug for headache .
Shift work
• When person works the out side in
the form of day and night employing
one weak in day and other in the
night .
• So it cause the serious change in
biological rhythm is known as the
shift work disorder .
Shift work
• These kind of biological rhythm disorder can
effect on a person health .
• effect –
• Depression .
• Sleepiness .
• Lack of mental alertness .
• Diabitease.
Person mostly affected from the shift work
• Driver .
• Pilot .
• Police officers .
• Soldiers.
• All peoples who do the shift work they
suffered from the brain rhythm disorder .
Cure of phase shit
• Modafinil and R-modafinil are useful to
improve alertness and reduce sleepiness in
shift workers .
• Caffeine during the duty makes alertness.
• Should be good photic entrainment .
• Deep sleep
• Proper food .
• exercise .
