Fran Bullington presented ways to improve monthly library reports. She found her early reports at her school did not adequately convey how vibrant the library program was. She began experimenting with additions like photographs, charts, and multiple pages to share more information. Later, she transitioned reports to PowerPoint to make them easier to edit and include more colorful charts and information on slides. Bullington encouraged attendees to publish their reports online and provided examples of other libraries' reports in her bibliography.

2. Basic Beginnings
In the fall of 2006 when I became the lead librarian at
Boiling Springs High School, I wanted to continue the
sharing of monthly reports that my predecessor had
done. Looking back now at the reports I submitted, I
am embarrassed! Those reports in no way, shape, or
form were conveying how vibrant our library program
was.
So I began a quest to perfect my reports and share that
with you here. Many photographs have been altered
because I have not obtained permission to post those
students’ pictures.
