Jaca rand a is a genus of 49 flowering plant species native to tropical regions of Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean, and parts of Asia. Jacaranda species are shrubs and trees ranging from 2 to 30 meters tall. They have bipinnate, pinnate, or simple leaves and produce large panicles of blue, purple, or white flowers. The fruit is an oblong or oval flattened capsule containing many slender seeds. Jacaranda is found throughout the Americas, Caribbean, Australia, Africa, Fiji, India, and New Zealand.
