Polymer Module:Through this module, students examine the different properties of the variety of polymers. Then they design and test a humidity sensor made of a polymer film. Finally, they are asked to design their own products.
The aim of this product is to reduce the danger of explosion of gas cylinders. This explosion that causes death and destruction by using Silicon(Interpon HT ) .
Our main is to save lives and keep people safe.

how they can contribute in this activity .

ml salt water to beaker (B)
Remove the samples
from the beakers
Compare what Happening
to the pellets in salt water
and fresh water at the
same time.
Now, We filter the liquid
from the beakers
The polymer that was in
fresh water swell put with
salt and water shrink

Conclusion: when we add fresh water to the
polymer, it swells because absorb the water to the
polymer. When we add salt water, the polymer shrinks
because the concentration of water fresh inside the

18. Introduction and project
1: The reasons why we are interested in this project is to reduce the danger of
gas, this project is about developing gas cylinder resist heat and benefits the
Qatari community from explosions.
2: We have been attracted by the explosions that happen in the world because
of the gas cylinder and especially the explosion that happened in Qatar near
landmark and the newest thing about our project is to produce a gas cylinder
that resists heat that reduces explosions that cause death.
3: We had little information about polymer before Al- Bairaq come to our
school but Al-Bairaq helped us with the activities that taught us a lot about
the properties and characteristics of polymer and also some of its usages
here we had the idea of using polymer in producing things and objects .

coating gas cylinders and to act as heat –insulating which will
make cylinders more secure and protected from high

(2) Find the polymer additives to acquire the high capacity of thermal insulation
(3) We reached the conclusion that Interpon Ht polymer is the best insulator of
heat

To perform our project we used an organic silicon polymer heat.
using this kind of polymer will solve the problem of high
temperature in gas cylinders.
