The city manager provided an update on planning for the City's 100-year anniversary celebration in October 2022. A planning group is organizing activities like games, food trucks, entertainment, and a potential performance by the U.S. Army Parachute Team. Events being organized include National Night Out, a 5K run, an afternoon event in Alamo Heights, and a social hour at a nature trail. Local sponsors and organizations have committed to the celebration through engagements, donations, and other support. Marketing efforts will ramp up in September.

• Planning continues for the City’s 100-year anniversary
week to be celebrated in October 2022 to include
weekly meetings w/CE Group
• CE Group are planning:
• Guest Engagement Activities
• Rock climbing, giant game activities, family area
• Inviting food trucks for the event
• Stage entertainment, site layout, securing rentals
• Working with U.S. Army Parachute Team (Golden Knights)
• Teamed up with True Flavors to lead the permitting efforts
and alcohol/beverage sales

• Argyle afternoon event/Alamo Heights history
• Social Hour at Jack Judson Nature Trails

potential sponsorship from individuals/companies that
have expressed interest in support
